I always felt cold. At least on the inside. Though that was something that was slowly changing. I knew it was because of her, there was nothing else it could be. I've spent years in the dark and that's nobody's fault but mine. I just can't ever seem to settle, or begin to be like regular person. Honestly I don't think I deserve to. My life is dark and cold. Always has been.

Part 4 of my post-X3 storyline. The X-Men are reaching a new level of understanding with both their government and each other. But this could change when some old enemies make a reappearance and the mutants tracking them could turn out to be as big a threat.

2 weeks after Cuba. The government is mapping out actions against the new threat, Magneto is building up his army and Charles is caught in the crossfire. Moira tries to help and Mystique is forced to remain loyal to Magneto- even if it comes to actually harming Charles. For Raven/Mystique and Eric/Magneto these are going to be the final choices.

AU. After Cuba Eric is back and helping the paralysed Charles with the school. Everyone is fine- except Raven. She finds it hard to accept what had happened on the beach because she is the only one who remembers the truth... Until Eric discovers it as well. And Charles learns a lesson.

They thought it had disappeared forever when the syringes were burned. What they didn't anticipate, however, was the evolution of the afflicted. Some say it was a botched attempt at salvation while others believe everything had been planned. No one had thought it would stop differentiating between its victims. But they all agreed on thing: salvation and equality can never coexist.

Very brief summation: Erik is a traveling thief. He comes across a mistreated Charles one day and keeps him. They grow close! Basically follows the plot of the Ludo song of the same title. slash/mxm sex
