The want for rebellion in Panem has been simmering quietly throughout the Districts for years, waiting for a catalyst. The death of a small girl from District 11, and the emergence of a fearsome Victor in the 74th Hunger Games could be just that. Things are about to change in District 12. Gale POV. This story picks up at the start of chapter 27 of Mockingjay, immediately after Katniss kills President Coin instead of President Snow. This is an alternative sequence of events that could have occurred, resulting in a very different ending to the story. P.S. Any feedback is more than welcome! Katniss is being bullied, bad. She self harms herself because of it. She's walking along the beach, crying, when she runs into Peeta. She's rude to him, because she think's he's just like everyone else. He finds out the secrets on her wrist, and shows up at her house, after she gets suspended for a month from a lie the principle believed. Who knew the power of her voice.

Gale and Madge, a short series of scenes from beginning to end: "Before her, he saw a life—one with Katniss as his wife, of Sunday's hunting, of working in the mines. That life isn't terrible, he tells himself, but it's not a dream. It's not what he wants but what he expects. But when he's with Madge, he dares to want impossible things. Being with her makes it all seem possible."

AU Where the victors are treated much better, and hated by the districts. Mr. Everdeen speaks out against the capital. Now because of Snow Haymitch must make Katniss his servant, and convince the entire district that he's using her, in order to break Mr. Everdeen.

Basically a what-if story about the final book of the Hunger Games series. If Annie had died in the sewers instead of Finnick, what would Finnick have done to avenge her?
