Maj. John Conner stood at the flight line of Ishtar City Airforce Base, gazing lovingly at his pride and joy, A F-13 Falcon II Strike Fighter. With his aluminum stead, he and the rest of the Alliance Forces had managed to drive most of the rebels off the Northern Islands. Central Command was already making plans to strike Roho City, the final rebel stronghold.
Of course, the rebels weren't the main problem. That was the cursed Temple of Snakes cult. They were providing funds and weapons to the rebels in exchange for their cooperation in the war against the New Hope Alliance. After the rebels were defeated, the Snake Cultist would have to be put down as well.
His thoughts were interrupted by his WSO, Cpt. Danial Paige. "Major, We have a mission briefing, Should be a good one."
"They're all good ones when we fly," Conner said as they made their way to the briefing room.
As they set down, General Young began his briefing. "As you gentlemen know, We're about to make a push into Roho City. If we defeat the rebels once and for all, we can cut off flow of critical resources to the Snakes and then, push into their territory. Your mission, is to provide Close Air Support to one of our special forces units, callsign "Wildfire". Wildfire will be helicoptering to assault an enemy communications base south of the city, so they will need your escort. The communications base is being used primarily to direct enemy planes, mostly, cultist mercenary pilots. Once the communications base is secure, move to neutralize the airfield on the outskirts of town. Once air superiority is achieved, our heavy bombers will hit the city proper. Make sure to keep an eye out for SAMs. If you see any anti air units, take them out.
