She stretched groggily letting her eyes wander to the magnificent view outside her apartment. The mountain took up most of it, separating her small village from the huge cult on the other side. The one that worshipped the monsters in the mountain like gods.
Frisk let out a yawn as she untangled herself from the mess she put herself in. Grabbing the canteen next to her bed she poured water to the golden water which seemed to shine brighter in response. Whispering sweet nothings and babying the mute object was an odd hobby of hers.
Opening her closet, she let out a confused glance, she needed to do some shopping, something hard since in her town stores where rare, markets weren't. Grabbing the striped shirt, a pair of brown shorts and leggings after brushing her teeth and stubborn hair she was ready for her day ahead.
Nodding her head as a greeting to those she knew fairly well she opened the door to the bakery shop. The smell entering her senses immediately morning rush was going to start in two hours, having everybody rushing around. First time she heard of it, and the first she experienced it, she noticed morning rush was an overestimation. Only around 10 people came, each ordering a hefty amount of bread and coffee.
Putting on her name tag and apron she grabbed a pan filled with dough, an order was immediately yelled. "Top oven, its cinnamon bun" she whisked her way over to the oven putting in the cinnamon bun, it had small bunny ears which made her gawk at how cute they looked before dismissing it.
Grabbing some unfinished dough, she began kneading it grabbing some more flour as it began to stick to the board. Rubbing her cheek, she added some dough and flour making her messy unlike how she entered. Somebody laughed at the site of her, and she quickly shot up to shoot them a playful glare.
Feeling somebody boop her nose she instantly knew her friend had just applied flour to the tip of it. Glaring through her closed eyes, she let out a small giggle. "Out of uniform again Frisk" The head bakers voice echoed making Frisk yelp in surprise.
"Y-yes ma'am I am sorry" she apologized with haste, "Apologies don't cut it, you know what to do" she groaned dismissing Frisk to go change.
Frisk didn't answer just nodded heading off to her office for the spare oversized uniforms.
As soon as she was in she could hear a fluffy white dog barking, chewing a bone in its mouth.
It looked mischievous as if saying. K. Frisk giggled at this petting the dog before opening up the closet, as soon as she got on her uniform she felt a rumble underneath her. An earth quake, in this part of the continent she was shocked, looking out the window to see how others were reacting.
Everyone was just staring in surprise at MT. Ebott making Frisk curious, raced outside as she wiggled herself out of the uniform. Finally, outside with her co-workers she gazed up at the mountain, it shook entirely as if it weighed no more than a feather.
Soon the villagers held onto their soulmates tightly, her friend quickly went in search for hers, and Frisk was left alone staring in horror, no soulmate to protect her.
