These are a few of my favorite scenes from Voyager, written from the characters' perspectives after my first re-watch of the series. All are scenes between the Captain and members of her crew.

While on shoreleave, Harry finds himself caught in a violent quake with Naomi Wildman. Injured, he stuggles to get the the little girl to safety before they are both buried by the tremors.

When Esther goes for a walk with her dog Max, she witnesses the crash of a small plane. At least that's what she believes, until she approaches the crash site and discovers that the plane isn't one and the injured pilot is still alive. As the only other person on the scene, she is unable to reconcile not helping him. That decision has far-reaching consequences...

Chakotay returns from an away mission with a personally made souvenir for Kathryn but it comes with a big unwanted side effect to his appearance. The only possible solution is an immediate trip to Sickbay. Takes place after season 6 Episodes Memorial and Collective. This is part of my Sickbay Buddy series but I promise you can read it as a stand alone if you want.

In the Beta Quadrant, Voyager finds a way to receive letters from home. Pausing for so long in unknown territory may or may not be a mistake. Part 4 of The Mother and The Captain Series, with a summary for new and returning readers.

Admiral Janeway thinks about her past with shame, that's why she's going to do things right.

"We did it," she breathes, and Chakotay is not to her left. A stunned silence descends over the Bridge. She cannot tear her eyes away from the viewscreen but she feels herself acutely, peculiarly alone, center-stage. [Janeway and Chakotay try to reconcile the choices he's made. A J/C Endgame/Post-Endgame character study of sorts.]

After having not seen each other for 10 years, Chakotay and Kathryn are thrust back into each other's lives after a serious injury. A very belated 2021 lake story.
