When he'd seen the young man choking at the restaurant a little over a month ago, Ezra had thought nothing of stepping in to help. He'd cleared the young man's airway, and when he didn't breathe on his own, had started to breathe for him until EMTs arrived and took over. He'd just been acting on instinct, but the grandparents of the young man (who were raising him since his parents had been killed in a car accident some years ago) didn't see it that way. To them, Ezra was a hero and that's all there was to it. Little did he know that good deed was going to come back and haunt him.
