A/N: Chuck had just told Sarah he wanted to end their cover relationship, again. She was hurting, hearing that. Then Cole Barker appeared in their lives. What if Sarah handled things differently?

This is another AU linked to a canon episode, this time "Chuck Versus the Beefcake." As with my other rewrites, scenes from the episode are included along with the speech of each person, interspersed with their thoughts and feelings. Then, it goes AU.

Coled

Chuck had upset her twice today.

Him avoiding her calls had pissed her off, then they had that discussion in the Orange Orange.

She had started chopping a banana. He watched as she rapidly finished it. Then he spoke, "So, what did you want to talk about?"

Sarah replied, "You can go first. Mine's spy-related, and I have a feeling yours isn't."

He started, "Um... I... I wanted to talk about us."

She knew this was coming, but it still upset her. However, she tried to put a brave face on it. "You want to break up again." He looked at her, obviously surprised that she knew, so she continued, "I caught some chatter through bites of cereal on the surveillance tap. Sorry, it's an occupational hazard."

He looked slightly upset, but started again, "Um... of course. Look... Sarah, it's not you. It's me."

Casey looked in on them. "Probably not the best idea to give the "It's not you, it's me" speech to a trained assassin wielding a knife."

Chuck looked at him, annoyed. "I was warming up into more original terrain. Can you give us a minute, please, Casey?"

Casey left them again. Chuck turned back to her. "Um... look, Sarah, you know how much I care about you. It-it's just getting... it's getting so complicated lying to my sister and my... and my friends. Sometimes, I don't even know what lie I'm telling."

She stared at him, hopeful that she could change his mind. "Look, tell them we're taking things slowly and that while we enjoy each other's company, we don't really feel the need to label it, and who knows what the future holds for us?"

His expression showed doubt. "But that's... that's just another lie, isn't it? We'll never really be together."

Her heart sank. This was happening again! She couldn't say there was hope while they stood in this government building.

He took her silence as confirmation of his thoughts. "Exactly, and that's why I think we should break up."

Saddened, she asked, "Is that what you really want?"

He nodded. "Yes, it is."

Casey looked around the door again. "Great... most annoying romance of my life is finally over. Downstairs now."

She turned away from Chuck and rapidly walked down the stairs. She hurt. She knew she shouldn't. She should not care for him as she did, but that didn't change how she felt.

Being told that she had to retrieve the intelligence "by any means necessary" made her feel worse. She knew what that meant. She hated this type of mission. Then, Chuck flashed on this Cole Barker's belt.

Casey made it worse when he said, "Well, you're going to have to get his pants off, huh, Walker? Good thing Bartowski dumped you."

Her conversation with Barker in the bar of the hotel went just as planned. She even managed to take a few swipes at Chuck in the process.

Barker had been sitting on his own, while she sat at the bar with Chuck and Casey.

Casey commented, "Cole's Fulcrum contact's going to be here any minute. Time to let it all hang out, hmm?"

Chuck looked concerned. "I'm just wondering if it's safe for Sarah to be alone with such a dangerous guy."

That made her feel better, but wasn't helpful. She told him, "It's okay, Chuck. I've got protection." She showed him the gun in her handbag. "And besides, we have a safe word. If I ask for any Cristal champagne, Casey will know I'm in trouble."

Casey stated, "She'll be fine. Trust me." Then, he stabbed her in the back with his next comment. "It's not like it's her first time."

She ignored that and walked over to Barker. He watched her in her short black dress and long shapely legs. She knew they always got attention.

"Hi. I noticed you sitting alone," she said, as she sat down with her legs fully on show.

"Very observant," he replied. His British accent very noticeable.

"Do you want some company?" she asked, putting all her charm into it.

"Not really," he stated, looking amused.

Not letting that phase her, she said, "Well, neither do I. But, uh, the problem is, if I sit alone at the bar, then every guy in here is going to think I'm lonely and desperate, and try and take a shot at a total stranger."

He smiled. "Isn't that what you're doing right now?"

She nodded. "Guilty as charged."

He looked at her and stated, "If we're going to continue this conversation, I think I should make one thing abundantly clear. I'm not a very nice guy."

She knew she had him hooked. "Good... 'cause I'm not into nice guys."

She knew that would get to Chuck. Payback for rejecting her again.

"Really? Why is that?" asked Barker.

Sarah thought about Chuck as she replied, "Well, all they want to do is talk about their feelings and emotions, and sometimes what a woman really wants is a man who acts."

Barker smiled. "Well, then why don't we stop talking and take this up to my room? You have my word: nothing nice will happen."

As they stood, she heard Casey's voice in her earpiece. "Good girl, Walker."

As they stepped into the lift, Barker turned to her. She asked, "What floor?"

"Hit eleven."

She knew that both Casey and Chuck would hear that.

As they reached the eleventh floor, she asked, "Which room is yours?"

He replied, "1121. It's a suite with a fantastic view, giant king-sized bed and a Jacuzzi tub."

She knew Casey would hear this, so know where to find her, if she needed help.

Even before they entered the room, they were kissing. She hadn't kissed any man for a long time, other than pecks for her cover with Chuck. It felt so wrong.

She immediately tried to undo his belt, but he stopped her, grabbing her handbag and throwing it away.

They grappled with each other. She hoped he thought this was her eagerness.

When they landed by her handbag, she reached for it, but he got to it quicker and threw it further away.

When he pushed her against the wall, she managed to undo his belt. He let her this time, but then wrapped the belt around her wrists and pulled them over her head.

She said, "Whoa, slow down, tiger."

He replied, "I told you I wasn't a nice guy."

She knew she was in trouble, so said, "I'm, uh... I'm willing to try new things, but it's, uh, it's getting a little hot in here. I wonder if we could maybe grab some champagne? Maybe some Cristal?"

Barker replied, "Well, then let's get some Cristal."

She hoped that Casey would get to her quickly.

Unfortunately, he quickly stripped her of her dress and him of his shirt. All she was wearing now were her underwear and heels.

When he picked up her handbag, her fears were realized. He unzipped it and took out her gun, pointing it at her.

She looked at him and said, "This is getting a little too dangerous for me right now."

He replied, "Enough games, sweetheart. Who do you work for?"

She knew she was done for, then there was some rapid knocking on the door and a voice she recognized, "Hey! Somebody order room service? Champagne?"

Barker was distracted and she kicked the gun out of his hand and then kicked his head with her other foot.

By the time Chuck kicked in the door, she had her foot on Barker's back and her gun pointing at his head.

However, she was horrified as Chuck looked at her like he did. Subduing this Fulcrum agent was good, but Chuck didn't focus on that; he just looked at her body and particularly her state of undress. He looked like his world had ended. At least she still had her bra and panties on. Thank God I managed to stop the man from ripping those off!

Having Chuck look at her body, something he always tried to avoid, should have made her feel good, but that horrified and lost look in his eyes was terrible.

She would need to talk to him about this. Make him realize nothing had happened.

She looked down at the man on the floor. He was an attractive man. In her past, she would have been very attracted to him, if he hadn't been an enemy agent. Now, however, there was no attraction anyway. That was because of the tall, slender man in the doorway. She looked at Chuck, trying to catch his eye, but he looked away.

Shit!

When Chuck and Sarah were escorting Barker from the hotel, they were attacked by men in a helicopter. Sarah took her gun and tried to draw their fire, telling Casey they needed help.

She heard Chuck shouting her name, obviously worried about her, but she had to protect him.

She was trying to hide from the automatic gunfire, but knew she wouldn't last long. She just hoped Casey got to Chuck before it was too late.

Then she heard Chuck call her name again telling her to take cover, which she already was. Suddenly, Barker was standing over her with two guns in his hands. He just stood there, completely exposed, firing at the enemy. He seemed fearless. When he hit a tank on the building beneath the helicopter it exploded, taking the helicopter with it.

Sarah was still crouched on the floor, looking in amazement at Barker. He had singlehandedly taken out the threat and saved her.

He reached out his hand and said, "Come with me, if you want to live."

She felt like she was in a trance and reached her hand out to him. Then Casey hit him over the back of his head, saying. "You're not going anywhere."

Chuck had avoided her since they returned to Castle.

Now they had been told Cole Barker was actually an MI-6 agent, undercover. Sarah was feeling bad about her treatment of him. He, however, didn't seem upset that a woman had subdued him. In fact, he seemed more attentive because of it. The way he looked at her was quite typical of male agents interested in her. They all thought she would be as interested in them as they were in her. She rolled her eyes thinking about that. All god damned wannabe James Bonds!

He was much closer to Bond than most, though. He was very good looking and he was British, after all.

She looked away and caught sight of Chuck looking at her. He quickly looked away, but she caught sight of the pain in his eyes. He had seen her looking at Cole and assumed, wrongly, that she was interested in the man. She just wanted to get Chuck somewhere they could talk.

Sarah's heart sank when Beckman stated, "I'm ordering you to stay locked down in Castle tonight, Agent Barker, until we speak to your superiors and figure out our next move. Agent Walker will stay with you. Make sure you don't get yourself into any more trouble."

Cole commented, with a slight smirk, "Well, I could think of worse ways to spend the night."

Sarah was pissed off that she had been told to stay. "Funny, but I can't think of any."

Chuck immediately said, "You could stay at my house if you wanted to. My best friend, Morgan, is sleeping on the sofa. But I don't think he'd mind if you were there. He has a beard... like yours."

Sarah rolled her eyes. That was obviously not going to happen.

Sarah spent most of the night thinking about Chuck.

After him hooking up with his ex, and obviously having sex with her, Sarah had found herself hurting. She knew she was hopelessly compromised, but was desperately trying to hide that fact.

When they realized Jill Roberts was a Fulcrum agent, Chuck had already left with her, without his tracking watch. Sarah knew that she'd not told him how she felt about him, couldn't in fact, but she had still been upset that he could want to be with the woman who had cheated on him. After finding out Jill's true identity, Sarah had been terrified the woman was going to hurt him, and not just emotionally this time.

It wasn't until Chuck had secured Jill in a Nerd Herder that Sarah had been able to breathe again! She had been so scared for him. Scared that she was going to lose him.

She had tried to get close to him after that. Not intimate, but back to their friendly status quo. It had taken a while for both of them to get over Jill. He hurt that the woman had turned on him and then tried to kill Sarah. Sarah hurt because she had seen how much in love with Jill Chuck had seemed.

She thought they were both coming out of their individual slumps and would start being happy together again. Then he had told her that he was breaking up with her. Again!

Now Cole Barker had entered their lives. An attractive British agent who obviously liked Sarah a lot.

She knew she wasn't good at communication, but surely Cole saw that she wasn't interested. Surely Chuck could, too.

Before the day really started, Sarah found herself reading about Cole Barker and his awards for bravery. He was an impressive agent.

When he came into the room, dressed just in a towel, she quickly shut the screen off.

He was obviously still interested in her and said, "Good morning, darling. How come you never came to bed last night?"

She rolled her eyes. Although he was distracting, dressed like that, she replied, "I didn't feel like sleep."

He replied, "Who said anything about sleeping?"

She glared at him. "Let me make this very clear. I'm not interested."

He didn't seem bothered by that. "Me, neither. I just think your seduction skills could use a little work, and I'm offering my services."

She looked him in the eyes, not wanting to look elsewhere. "Well, you seemed pretty reluctant in your hotel suite last night."

He sat on the desk. "I didn't want to blow the cover."

He then tried to charm her, but she wasn't having it and just said, "Get dressed."

As he walked away, he said, "As you wish." Once he was passed her, she saw him drop the towel on the desk beside her. She didn't look at him after that, determined not to be drawn in.

However, this was proving difficult. It was now over two years since she was last intimate with anyone, so it was probably no surprise she was feeling like she did.

She desperately wanted to be with Chuck, just like he'd wanted to be with her before Jill, but that was too risky; she'd only get reassigned. So, she'd stayed in her lonely state, her empty bed, just dreaming about Chuck being there with her.

When he told her he wanted to end their cover relationship again, it made her feel even lonelier.

The four of them were looking at the device. Casey said, "So, if we can't open it, how do we get the playback device?"

Chuck noted, "Well, maybe I can hack the chip. I've cracked a data drive or two in my day."

Cole responded, "Not like this. It's a little more complicated than you and your friends stealing video games."

Casey added, "Yeah. Don't try to be a hero on this one, Bartowski. Leave that to the pros."

Chuck looked offended, "Excuse me. I am a pro. My job is a certified computer and electronics technician."

"Great cover," Barker mentioned.

Casey replied, "It's not his cover. It's his life."

Sarah watched Chuck closing down. They were being too hard on him.

Cole stated, firmly, "Look, the only way we're gonna read what's on that chip is if we get the playback device. Maybe my cover is still intact. I'll call my contact and arrange a new meet."

Sarah was surprised to hear that and replied, "No. That's too dangerous."

Cole looked up at her. "Oh. It's sweet that you're worried about me, but I can handle the heat."

She closed that down, or at least tried. "It's not that I'm worried about you. It's the intelligence that is on that chip falling into Fulcrum's hands. "

He huffed. "Fine. I'll go without it. Leave the chip here. Worst case scenario: we use this opportunity to smoke out a few Fulcrum agents."

Casey stated, "Worst case scenario: they catch you and kill you."

Cole shrugged. "Yeah. Well, that's a chance I'm just gonna have to take." He looked meaningfully at Sarah as he said that.

She noticed Chuck looking at her as that happened. Her heart sank again. Please don't think I am falling for him!

She stayed sitting on the desk as Cole and Casey walked away and started pulling what they needed together.

Chuck leaned towards her. It was the first time he had talked to her for a while, so she listened. "Sarah, give me a chance. Maybe I can do this."

So, it wasn't about them! She didn't want him involved in this. She replied, "Chuck, just go back to the Buy More. We'll call you when it's over."

She walked over to get guns too. She heard Casey loudly commenting to Chuck as he walked away, "Don't get cute with that chip, Bartowski."

Later she would regret not acting at that point.

Everything went wrong with the meet. It had seemed to be going ok, but then Sarah saw a man pull out a gun. "Casey, gun."

Casey replied, "Hold your position, Walker. That's an order."

She couldn't do that and stated, "Cole could be in danger." Sarah moved in to save him.

Casey angrily told her, "He's off the grid. We're not authorized to be here. Get back here."

Sarah pushed her gun into the man's side. "Drop it."

Then she felt one pressed against her and a woman's voice said, "No, you drop it."

As she and Cole were taken into the car, one of the men stated, "They almost fooled us until someone tried to hack into the real chip."

She hoped Casey heard that. Chuck had ruined the mission by being overconfident in his abilities and was also now in danger, too. It both angered and frightened her.

When they brought Chuck in and suspended him next to her and Cole, she knew his stupidity had done this. When he started whining, she both feared for his life and also wanted to kill him herself! "Oh, my God! This is unbearable. My back is killing me; my wrists are chafing."

Cole quietly commented, "This is going to get ugly. What level is his pain tolerance?"

She replied, honestly, "I'd say about a one out of ten."

Chuck heard that and looked offended. "A what? ! A one? I'd say I'm at least at an eight."

She looked at him. "Chuck, the torture hasn't started yet."

He almost cried. "This is the pre-torture? Okay, okay. Put me down for a 'one.'"

Then, after a few minutes, he whispered. "Sarah. Sarah. I saw it. I know what's on the chip."

She snapped her head round to face him again. "What?"

Cole added, obviously amused at the whispering. "Uh, sorry, mate, it's a bit difficult to put my fingers in my ears right now."

Sarah said, "It's okay, Chuck." She just wanted him to tell her.

However, she didn't like what she heard. "I'm on it. It's me."

She reacted instantly. "Okay, we can't let Fulcrum ever find out. No matter what they do to you, you cannot tell them."

He looked at her, panicking, "I can't... I can't handle torture, Sarah."

She knew that was true. She felt the panic too.

He continued, "You see all those syringes over there? You know how I feel about needles."

Cole stopped him there. "Don't worry about torture. I'll incite them. Get them to kill us quick."

That didn't help Chuck, who said, "Interesting plan."

Sarah stopped him, calmly saying, "Okay, we just have to hold out until Casey gets here. Until then, if the pain becomes unbearable, just pass out."

His panicked voice came through again. "How?"

"Scare yourself."

He looked at the needles again. "Shouldn't be too hard."

Then, the woman walked in. "Glad to see you're all in such a chatty mood. The identity of the Intersect is on that chip." She drew a long blade. "So, who wants to tell me first?"

Chuck whimpered.

The woman was whipping Cole with a cat-o-nine-tails.

Chuck was tied to a chair next to her, and Sarah was tied facing the other way.

You would almost think it was Chuck being hit when he cried out with each hit. Then he called out, "Stop it. Stop it. I can't take it anymore. No more torture."

Cole snarled, "She's torturing me, idiot."

The woman said, "Tell me who the Intersect is, Cole..." She whipped him again and he grunted. "... and the pain can end."

Chuck called out, "Sarah, I can't let them do this. She's going to kill him."

She called back, terrified for her asset. "No, Chuck. Just keep your mouth shut." She knew that both Cole and herself could withstand torture, they just needed to wait for Casey. She looked away.

After another hit, Chuck started again. "Enough, enough, can't you see he's never going to talk?"

The woman smiled. "Everybody talks. Cole knows that." She put down her current weapon and picked up a blow torch and lit it. Walking back to Cole, she said, "Well, how about it? You ready to talk or should I turn up the heat?"

Chuck continued, "Look, I know what's on the chip. I watched it."

Sarah was in full panic mode, hearing that. "No, Chuck, no!"

He ignored her. "It's me. I'm the one you're looking for."

The woman turned. "You? All along it was you?"

Chuck whimpered.

Cole laughed. "Do you really think the CIA would put its entire database of secrets inside his head? He's a pathetic weakling. How could they send him on an assignment? How could he even withstand torture?"

Sarah couldn't see Chuck's face, but guessed he didn't like that, but his feelings weren't a concern right now, so she added, "It's true, he's just a computer and electronics technician- a brave one, but he's not the Intersect."

The woman turned to Sarah. "Then who is?"

After a couple of seconds, Cole replied, "Me. I'm the Intersect."

Chuck should have kept quiet at that point, but didn't. He seemed really pissed when he said, "No, he's not. It's me, okay, and I resent the statement that I couldn't stand up to torture." He looked at the woman. "Do your worst. In fact, you could stick that incredibly long needle in my eye and I still wouldn't tell you anything."

He looked at Sarah with a forced grin and nodded his head at her as if to say, "So there!"

Sarah groaned. Why, oh why, couldn't he keep his mouth shut. That stupid mouth of his was now going to get him blinded!

The woman walked to the table and picked up a syringe. "This needle?" She picked the needle up and attached it to the syringe. "You want me to put this needle..." She walked towards Chuck with it. "In your eye?"

He obviously realized how stupid he had been and was trying to lean back, away from it. "Uh, uh, uh, you know, you know, you know, on, on, on second thought..."

He then fell backwards. He either passed out before or when the back of his chair hit the ground.

The woman turned to her men. "Wake him."

The men moved to comply. One of them threw water in his face.

Chuck came too, gasped and then shrieked, "It's freezing! No, no, please, please, no more torture."

The woman looked around, holding a different syringe, this one full of a liquid, but with a slightly smaller needle. "Enough. We will try... a different approach. Tell me who the Intersect is by three... or I inject Agent Walker with enough ricin to kill an army."

Sarah was resigned to this, but just hoped Casey would arrive in time to save Chuck. She looked at him, saddened that they never got a chance together.

The woman started counting, "One, two..."

Both Chuck and Cole shouted, "It's me!"

Then there was chaos. Men burst into the room, including Casey.

Sarah slumped a little, exhausted from the tension. They were saved. Chuck would live.

The woman ran out of the room with Casey following. Sarah hoped he would take her alive, but, honestly, didn't really care.

As they received medical treatment, Sarah saw how badly Cole was hurt. She was still pissed at Chuck for behaving like he did and also for causing all of this. She didn't want to talk to him, so she took Cole's arm around her shoulders and helped the injured man out.

She had calmed down by the time she saw Chuck next. As they walked through Castle, they actually talked.

She looked at him holding a pack to his head. "Keep the ice on that."

He tried to act strong. "Oh, I'm fine."

She stopped and looked at him. "I'm really proud of you, Chuck. It's not easy to withstand torture." She was still pissed at what he had done, but knew he had just tried to help someone.

He went into ramble mode. "Well, they didn't know the right buttons to push. I have exceptionally ticklish toes, you know. As a child, Ellie was able to extract information from me at will."

That made her smile. "Well, that's good to know." Then she added, "Besides, you've had a lot of practice enduring torture, with our fake relationship."

He looked at her. "You know, it wasn't completely torture. We certainly had our moments, didn't we?" he looked dead serious now.

She swallowed. "Well, even though it wasn't real, I'm really going to miss it." She really would. She already did.

He seemed embarrassed. He looked away, then back at her. "Look, maybe I made an impulsive decision."

Then Cole walked in. "Well, I guess I'd better be heading out." He walked up to Chuck and shook his hand. "Chuck... thanks for risking your life for me. Don't ever do it again."

Chuck replied, "Don't worry. I won't."

Cole then looked at Sarah and held her gaze. Chuck made a decision. "Right, I'll give you two a couple minutes." He walked away.

Sarah wanted to just pull him back, but knew she couldn't in Castle.

She looked at Cole. "We have to talk about Chuck. If you know who Chuck really is, then you pose a security threat. Someone that I will have to handle."

He smiled. "Well, I can't say being handled by you is an unappealing option." Her flat look obviously told him what she thought about that. "Understood. Look, if I've proved anything to you by now, it's that I can keep my word."

She nodded and he continued, "Feel free to say 'no,' but your government has sent a fully-loaded G4 to fly me back to London. I figured with same amount of fuel we'd go to Fiji."

The idea of a vacation sounded appealing, but only if that was with Chuck. "Sorry. Need to work."

He nodded. "Well, understood. I'm offering to help you with your interrogation skills."

She smirked. "Do these lines actually work?"

He smiled. "Often. Okay. Change of tactic. The truth. I really need a vacation, and it looks like you do, too. All I can offer you is some good company, warm sun, and lots of wild passion because the truth is I think you're a breathtakingly beautiful woman. You spend so much time worrying about someone else, you've forgotten about yourself."

She looked at him. She needed a vacation, desperately. She knew if she went with him, she would get the intimacy her body was craving; she would enjoy it. However, she had her mission and, now that she was being honest with herself, she couldn't bear to leave Chuck. It would tear her heart apart to leave him and probably his too. She couldn't say this to Cole however, and certainly not in Castle.

She turned away. "I've got work to do."

She was glad he was leaving. It was a good thing, no probably about it. Her resistance was weakening. It wasn't that she wanted Cole, it was just that she needed that intimacy.

Then, he pulled her to him and kissed her. She didn't resist the kiss. God, she needed kisses like this! But it wasn't the man holding her, kissing her like this, that she was thinking of. She just imagined kissing Chuck like this, him with his arms around her and his tongue in her mouth. Just like that time in front of the Bryce bomb. Thinking about Chuck, she moaned into the kiss.

Cole pulled away. "See you around."

As he walked away, she said, "Good-bye." She was shaking from that kiss. If it had been Chuck she would have taken him on the spot. It being Cole, she had resisted, but she still felt weak at the knees. God, I need to get laid!

Thinking of Chuck again, she knew that he was the one she wanted. He was the one she loved.

Then she realized what she had just thought. As she considered that, she was honest with herself. Yes, she loved Chuck Bartowski.

Sarah looked around. Where was Chuck when she had things to say to him that he would like to hear? God damn it!

Surprise, surprise! Chuck didn't want to talk to her!

When she had gotten to the Orange Orange, she saw the surveillance image from camera pointing at where Cole had kissed her was on the display. Chuck wasn't around, but had obviously watched them!

She couldn't really blame him for not talking. She'd screwed up. Again!

When she entered the Buy More, she found Chuck at the Nerd Herd desk, typing away on one of the computers. He looked up at her, surprised. "Thought you'd be gone with Cole."

She leaned towards him. She didn't feel comfortable stating the true reason for her still being here, so she fell back on the acceptable excuse. "My mission is here. To protect you."

She watched the surprise replaced with almost anger. "Yeah. The Intersect." He looked away.

She knew she had missed a perfect chance, but didn't want an argument.

She looked at her watch. 4pm. Too soon to leave yet, but she would be taking him home this evening, so she would bide her time.

5pm. It was time.

"Come on Chuck," she said, as she approached him.

He looked up at her, then at his watch. He nodded and walked around the desk.

They walked to her car in silence.

As she pulled away, she started to talk, wanting him to understand. "Chuck, I have been bottling this up since you…" she stopped. She didn't really want to talk about it this way. She looked over at him. Shit! I am so bad with words!

"Since I what?" He asked, frowning.

She had to say it. "Since you had sex with Jill." He looked surprised, so she hurried on. "Chuck, I have really strong feelings for you. You must know that."

She looked at him, hoping she was right. For the first time since Cole arrived, a smile started to form on his lips; those lips she wanted to kiss so much. "Really?" Then his smile faded. "But what about Cole? I saw you kissing him!"

She winced at that, but had to tell him what really happened. "I am so sorry you saw that, Chuck. I haven't been kissed like that in a long, long time. I need kisses like that, Chuck! All I was thinking was that I wished it was you kissing me like that." She paused for a second. "I was imagining it was you, Chuck."

He was now smiling again. She wanted him to smile, so she added. "Good as the kiss was, I preferred the one in that warehouse." His eyes lit up hearing that.

He looked in a daze. I do that to him! That made her feel good.

He turned his gaze back to the road, and he frowned. "Sarah, why are we not going to my apartment?"

She grinned at him. "We're going to my hotel room." He appeared puzzled. She knew he could probably see the twinkle in her eye as she looked at him. "I need some more kissing. This time from the man I want to kiss!"

He then said something she never would have expected. "Floor it, Agent Walker!"

She burst out laughing, hearing that, but she did press down on the accelerator.

As soon as they entered her room, she kicked the door shut and closed the gap between them. She stood on tip toes and kissed him. She immediately opened her mouth and he did the same. Their tongues immediately started to vie for dominance. She moaned into the kiss. It was so good.

The kiss lasted for minutes. She didn't care that her breath seemed to be running out, even though she should still able to breathe through her nose. This kiss was so damn good!

She remembered from the kiss in the warehouse that he was a good kisser, but this was so much better.

They separated and took deep breaths, then Chuck crashed his lips to hers again, and another passionate kiss started.

She had the fingers of her right hand in the curls at the back of his head and her left arm around his neck. He had his right arm around her waist, pulling her to him, and his left hand in her hair. She knew he loved her hair and she loved feeling his fingers in it.

She pulled him closer and his arm tightened around her waist, pulling her closer still. Their bodies pressed together like this was so good! She could feel that he felt it too.

She lowered her heels, pulling his head down, so that they didn't stop the third kiss.

She then started to slowly walk backwards, pulling him with her. When her calf hit the bed, she didn't stop. She fell backwards, pulling him down on top of her.

When his body landed on hers, she pulled her lips away from his as it took her breath away, but it felt so damn good.

As they started kissing again, the whole of his body was pressing down on her. She felt her breasts brushing against his chest and lower half between her legs. She moaned into the kiss.

She needed more and he obviously felt the same, but he hesitated. He pushed away from her, pressing his hands either side of her head. "Do you really want this?"

God! Isn't it obvious?

"Yes, Chuck," she answered.

He stood and pulled her up, which surprised her. She reached for him to continue their kissing, but he stopped her and commenced undoing the buttons on her blouse, starting at the top. Slowly. She just stood in front of him as he did, fascinated at what he was doing.

As each button undid, he would gaze at the flesh revealed. This felt so intimate. She held her breath as he continued. Even though he was slow, soon the blouse was completely undone. He slowly opened it revealing her as he did so. God! She wanted to grab him and kiss him so much, but this slow reveal was exciting her, too.

She had never allowed anyone to undress her before and would have reacted negatively to it, even with Bryce, but this was so sensual having it done to her by the man she had desired for so long.

He slid the shoulders of the blouse off her and slowly pulled the sleeves down, then casually flung it away. Her top was now uncovered apart from her bra. The look in his eyes as he looked at her sent a thrill right through her.

Would he take off her bra next? She waited with the anticipation rising.

Instead, he dropped to his knees and unzipped her pants, slowly, carefully. She caught her breath as he slowly pulled them down, exposing her legs. Before they reached her knees, he dropped his hands to her feet, lifting each one and taking off the shoe. The feeling of his hands on her feet made her shiver. Then he pulled her pants down, lifting each foot slowly to take them off.

He pulled back, looking adoringly at her body, now just in her bra and panties. She loved how her was looking at her, but was eager for more. Apart from occasionally brushing her flesh as he undressed her, he hadn't touched her body. She wanted him too.

He stood and reached behind her, releasing the catch on her bra. She gasped as he did this; his mouth so close to her neck that she could feel his breath there. As he slid the straps over her shoulders and then down her arms, still so slowly, she wondered if she should cover her breasts, but couldn't with him removing her bra in this way. Once she was free of it, he stood back. His eyes focused. He froze for a while, just looking.

Men had looked at her like this before. It was as far as she had ever gone with marks. Looky, no touchy. She had always hated it. It made her feel dirty. Chuck looking at her like this, with obvious love as well as lust, made her feel things she hadn't for such a long time. She wanted him to touch her, but knew he wouldn't yet. There was one item of clothing left.

He dropped to his knees and hooked his fingers at each side of her panties. She felt the anticipation rising even more.

He slowly, even slower than any other item, pulled them down, looking in awe at what was exposed. God! This was so hot!

He remained on his knees gazing at the tops of her legs. What she saw in his eyes was like magic to her. His eyes were full of wonder and lust.

She has to lift each of her legs to let him remove them from the panties at her ankles and watched him as he did that, mesmerized by what was exposed.

This had already been such an amazing experience for her. She had never felt so exposed or so excited. She knew he would see her arousal, and that just increased it.

He still hadn't touched her in any intimate way, which she was desperate for him to do, but she now had her own task. The other reveal she wanted.

She couldn't go as slowly as he had; she was desperate to move to the next stage. She pulled him up and undid the buttons on his shirt, exposing his slightly hairy chest. She slid his shirt off and somehow resisted trailing her fingertips through that hair.

She bent down and unbuttoned his jeans and slid down the zip carefully. His arousal already clear.

Before lowering his jeans, she lifted each foot and removed his Chucks and socks.

Leaving his boxers in place, but bulging, she slid his jeans down his legs. She saw how her breath on his abdomen made him shudder and his boxers move. She felt herself quiver as she saw that.

Once she had him out of his jeans, she hooked her fingers in his boxers, just as he had with her panties. She had to pull them forward to release him and gasped as she did so. Her lower body reacted, too.

She very quickly helped him out of his boxers, stood and wrapped her arms around his naked body. She needed contact.

As he pulled her closer to him, she felt his excitement.

She couldn't wait any longer and pulled him down onto the bed once again.

He kissed her lips again as she thrilled to his naked body pressing down on her. Then he trailed kisses down her chin and onto her neck. She wanted him to use other parts of his body, but as he moved lower, she suspended that thought

As his lips reached her left breast, she gasped and then again when he reached his first destination, with her reveling in the feeling, hardening as he continued.

He moved across and did the same again. It was exquisite. She felt her whole body react.

Then he trailed kisses further down her body. Bryce had never wanted to do what she knew was coming with Chuck. Bryce had always wanted immediate sex. To be honest, she had too, the release being the only goal.

Chuck, however, obviously wanted to worship her body. What she had felt as he looked down there had made that obvious.

When he reached this goal, he looked again with such awe. She wasn't sure he would do more until he opened his mouth to let his tongue out. That tongue which had vied for dominance between her upper lips attacked her lower ones.

She arched her back as he licked. God, this felt so good!

Her movement caused him to look up at her. She looked down at him and pleaded, "Don't stop, Chuck!"

He grinned, then restarted.

After all they had done already, and probably the fact she had not had any attention but her own for so long, it was little surprise to her that she didn't last long.

She cried out his name and sank back onto the bed, panting after such a wonderful experience.

As he rose up, she could see his arousal had not diminished. He must have enjoyed it almost as much as she had. She felt that she should return the favor, but knew that would probably mean it would take a while for him to recover.

She leaned down and pulled him up. As she kissed him, she could taste herself. It actually aroused her.

As she leaned back and pulled him down onto her, she guided him. Joining was another amazing feeling that caused both of them to gasp. It felt so good!

"P- protection," he gasped.

"Covered," she choked out between gasps.

It wasn't long before she released again. "Chuuck!" she virtually screamed into his ear.

He continued and she felt another approaching. He then cried out her name and she felt his release. That pushed her over the edge, too.

He continued, slower and slower and finally stopped. He was about to separate, but she hooked her ankles behind him and stopped that. She didn't want him to leave her. God! I never want this to end!

Twice! That had never happened before. Sometimes she had not at all. She had enjoyed it back then, but never like this! It made her annoyed that she had waited so long with Chuck. That they had both waited so long, skirting around their desire for each other.

Obviously, she had delayed it the most, but after Bryce visited last, she had intended to change that. Chuck had stopped her. Then with Jill, he had nearly broken her heart. God, he HAD broken it when he slept with that woman!

Now they were passed that. Feeling him with her was just what she'd needed.

She knew they would have to find a way to convince Beckman that they weren't lovers, which was what they now were. This was not going to be for just one night!

Chuck was leaning up again. He looked so gorgeous. She tightened her legs around him.

She gazed at him in awe. She couldn't hold her feelings in. "God, Chuck! I have never experienced anything so wonderful! The sensual undressing, what you did with your lips and your tongue..." she felt stirrings just thinking about that. "… and the best sex I have ever had!" And it was, she wanted him to know that.

His gaze was equally in awe. The woman of his dreams had surpassed them; everything had been far better than he could possibly have imagined. Now she was echoing his thoughts. He was in heaven! "Best…" was all he managed to say.

Then reality started to creep into his consciousness. "What now?" he asked, worriedly.

She knew he was talking about their future, but she couldn't help thinking about the rest of this night. She grinned at him. "Well, you recover and we do that again, Lover."

He looked at her, almost disbelievingly. "Lover?"

She gave him her most earnest, loving look. "This has to continue, Chuck! We have to work out how to hide it, but we both want this. At least I do, and hope you do, too."

She was relieved when he replied, "So much."

She pulled him back down into another passionate kiss. A kiss that lasted. A kiss that helped his recovery. She gasped as she felt that.

When he started up again, she knew this night, already the best in her life, was only going to get better.

A/N: Chuck's stupidly hacking into a chip that needed a specific device to read it, really annoyed me. It would most likely be protected in some way, but he just dived in with no thought. It could have worked out differently with the security being its destruction, losing everything and possibly taking him with it.

Anyway, after all that, this was another of those occasions where Chuck saw Sarah kissing someone else and hurt. He had virtually pushed them together, but now regretted it. Here, she did too and took action.

'Coled' is one of the alternative spellings for 'co-lead.' In the episode, Sarah seemed lost, without a leader of any sort, but here her heart and mind aligned for once, jointly leading the couple to the right conclusion.
