When Twilight enveloped Hyrule she took up the sword, but fell in the battle against the evil king Ganondorf. But instead of killing her, he spares her life... Fifty years ago, we lost the night. Now, as the monsters grow stronger, Link joins with Sheik, and together, they journey to find the lost Master Sword, only to discover that it, too, has been corrupted by the passage of time, and Hyrule plunges into darkness. Only the Lantern of Shadow can save them, but its memory has been all but lost to time, only a wisp left to guide them.
