Link remembers when he failed as the Hero all those years ago, leaving Princess Zelda to give up her life to seal Ganon once more. 16 years later, Another Zelda appears serving a reminder of his failures, but along with it offers another chance to do right by his title, for Ganon is freed once more. (Elements from BOTW but takes place centuries after)

Introspection abounds as Link and Zelda set to the task of reconciling just WHO the champion of Hyrule truly is - the late Link, a blend of two people, or someone entirely new. Sequel to The Demon. The Twilight is here, and so are the Interlopers. It took three Goddesses to banish them. Now, with the Goddess of Power allied with them, the Interlopers have returned... but not all bend knee to the Demon King. But can an Interloper outcast be trusted? More importantly, can one who is bound to such a creature wield Evil's Bane against the Demon King?

Let's keep this brief. OoT, but with a couple of girls who don't like the ending (a human and a hylian who isn't what you would call normal). So things get messed up... time is rewritten, and a horror that wasn't meant to exist is born. The world, once seeming so peaceful, is now worse than it once was, worse than it was meant to become. Lesson? Don't mess with time.

Link and Zelda are on their way back to Hyrule Castle after a long expedition. They decide to sleep over at the Ranch Ruins, but upon setting foot in the ruins Link takes a funny turn...

They had done it. They beat Ganon. Link had fired the final arrow to put Ganon down. But before Zelda could seal him away, Ganon had one last trick. A parting gift for the hero.
