HYDRA's exposed, SHIELD is officially over and The Winter Soldier is lost somewhere in the middle. At least he's not lost alone. Lucy was just a tech in way too deep. Ashamed of what she's done, Lucy wants to help him come to terms with his past & help him repair his relationship with Steve. Lucy never meant to feel this way and Bucky didn't think he could feel at all.

After returning from war, James has been suffering pretty harshly from PTSD. His friend Sam recommends a therapist to him, and that's when he met him. Steve Rogers. Skinny Therapist Steve and Soldier Bucky in a modern AU. Trigger warning, along with much swearing.

Steve hears a voice calling him back to the past; it's distant and surrendering but another voice is present and carries a sense of promise that only a friend can hear.

As the Superhuman Civil War rages around them, Captain America desperately tries to convince a new hero that he's chosen the wrong side.
