After all that flirting, Steve decides it's time to ask Sam out. His moves are...a little rusty, and his methods questionable. Sam takes pity and says yes, anyway. Set toward the beginning of "CAtWS."

The Avengers (and friends) are staying at Stark Towers, when none other than Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier himself, shows up of his own accord, in need of help and a home. A collection of short stories as Bucky settles into his new life in the 21st century.

After Natasha's matchmaking goes too far on Steve, perhaps it's best to let nature take its course. One of the agents at SHIELD also needs Steve's help with something in the Mediterranean.

Bucky is finally able to ask Carter out on a date. But, of course, things go awry.

[occasionally NSFW] Natasha and Bucky are wonderful together in the comics, so why not make it happen in the MCU? After Steve tracks down his old friend and brings him in, Fury tasks Natasha with determining whether he's an asset or a liability. But he doesn't know about their shared history...

Sharon Carter and Maria Hill have a brief discussion about the problems with maintaining professional detachment when you're doing surveillance on Captain America.

A sequel'y little ficlet to 'i'll always think of you that way', set a month or so later. Steve finally gets that dance, in a roundabout kind of way - his partner is not who he originally expected, but he's been waiting just as long. He wakes in the middle of the night to music, and finds Bucky lost in it. Very mild smut, hints of period-typical homophobia, Bucky feels.

Bucky's hair has gotten way too long. It's getting ridiculous. But of course he's way to stubborn to do anything about it. My first Avengers fandom fic. No slash, but I suppose you could read it that way. Rated for mentions of torture. Spoilers for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
