I have returned with a new chapter! Also got an important message at the end of the chapter, I highly advise you to read it if you're curious about the harem/poly lineup.

Reviews from ffn!

Solbandgus: Exactly! Despite being a bit lost on what to do, she still knows the basics. Well, bare-bones basic anyways.

Guest on Jan 22: Are you that guy from before? I feel like you're that guy from before. Are we seriously gonna start this again? Because frankly, I will start ignoring these kinds of reviews and just show it through the fic itself. But well I did say I'm not gonna bother replying but here I am…

Ahsoei: Aaaah that made much more sense. Yeah, I'll keep that in mind then.

Armadillo 300: I mean she has gotta get the inspiration for her costume from somewhere after all XD

dragon slayer of death 98: And you shall get more that's for sure! Momo is a closet Mecha weeb and I will take my time showing it off XD

Anyways, on with the chapter.

Chapter 30

Izuku stood in the gym as he stretched his body, not far from him were both Momo and Yui doing the same. Ryukyu and Miruko stood before their respective interns as they let them finish their stretch.

Currently, all of them were in Ryukyu's gym. It was located underground and was massive in size. There were some separate sections where the exercise machines were located, some sparring dummies and some punching bags. But currently, the heroines and their respective interns were in another section of the gym where they could spar with each other.

All of them are currently wearing some normal gym clothes. Izuku himself wouldn't have minded that much if it wasn't for the fact how the clothes did not hide their figure at all, if anything it just made it all the easier to see.

Momo and Yui were wearing a black sports bra along with black shorts that were sinfully tight, Momo had hers with red lining while Yui had hers with white lining. Momo's outfit did nothing to hide the fact that she was very well developed and there were some muscles that could be seen on her, showing that she does have some level of strength on her. Yui, on the other hand, isn't as muscled or developed as Momo but she does have some toning around her body. She isn't as developed as Momo of course but she was rather up there.

But his main problems didn't just consist of his girlfriends, there were also the highly attractive heroines around him. He's not sure if they were aware of it and he really hope they didn't but he was having a rather difficult time not staring. Unfortunately, Yui does not share the same concern as she was ashamedly staring at both of the women. Guess he shouldn't be that surprised, not that he blamed her though.

Ryukyu's outfit was a bit casual, a simple loose red shirt that revealed her shoulders along with white yoga pants that looked painted on her. Her curvy figure could be seen rather easily and that loose shirt somehow made her assets more pronounced to him.

The worst was Miruko, she had her snow-white hair in a ponytail currently. She was wearing a tight sports bra that really pushed up her assets along with white shorts that really accentuated her ass, revealing her long legs and very thick thighs. Her luscious tanned skin paired with her ruby red eyes just made her all the more beautiful in his eyes.

'I'm suddenly hungry for chocolate.' Izuku gulped as he saw her thighs, god she can crush a watermelon with those.

All four women were very aware of how Izuku was trying and failing not to stare at them, both heroines were amused by it while Yui approved of his taste. Momo on the other hand was just happy she managed to get his attention, long starting to get used to both his and Yui's behavior. Besides, it's not like she didn't take a glance once in a while too.

"Alright!" Ryukyu clapped, making Izuku grateful that they now could start. "We'll be doing quirk training today before proceeding to non-quirk training right after. Both of you please follow me. We'll leave these two here, Miruko if you need anything just call me." Ryukyu said, and Miruko nodded in understanding as the three left to find their own space.

"So what are we doing today Miruko-san?" Izuku asked curiously.

Miruko hummed as she put a hand under her chin, putting herself deep in thought.

"Well, we could start with how your quirk works first, tell me the details of it." Miruko said.

"I call my quirk Orbit, it allows me to generate and manipulate some form of energy that affects gravity." He explained briefly while she nodded her head.

"I see, I'm guessing you've been using it to boost yourself?"

He nodded, "Yeah, since control is a rather difficult aspect of my quirk I have to make do with it however I can." He laughed sheepishly.

Miruko however, tilted her head curiously. "Really now? How so?"

Izuku hummed at that, "Well like you said, I just use it to enhance my body. By covering and filling my body with energy, it helped enhance it. I could also use gravity to boost myself even more that way albeit in a basic way." He explained

"Basic?" She answered, tilting her head to the side curiously.

"Yeah, all those things I did at the festival? It's just an over-glorified pushing and pulling." He explained, his Shroud State could just be described as 'an armor that repels everything' to put it simply. The same principle applies to his attacks.

Miruko nodded at that, "I see, that does make some sense."

"For some reason whenever I try to use it outside my body it always becomes erratic. So far I could even barely use it to affect my surrounding gravity." Izuku finished.

"But didn't you manage to make that Kendo girl fall with your quirk?" Miruko pointed out as she remembered his fight against Itsuka.

"Yeah and even then it gave me a splitting headache," Izuku told her.

"I see, well then why don't you try lifting a few things and use it outside your body for now. I'll tell you anything I see that needs some work." Miruko directed, making him nod.

He then walked towards a set of nearby dummies, black energy flaring around his body before he raised one of his hands towards the faux bodies. Strands of black energy flared around his hands, reaching towards one of the mocks before disappearing mid-way.

Miruko narrowed her eyes at that before widening as she saw black energy start to appear around the targeted dummy.

"What happened there?" Miruko asked.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you but usually, if I gather the energy up to a certain point it will become black and visible for everyone to see." Izuku explained.

"I see, it would be a good way to prepare some sneak attacks." Miruko thought to herself out loud.

He then lifted his hand, making the dummy shake for a moment before lifting slowly. Izuku sighed as he saw this, his head was already straining a bit.

He then slowly brought the dummy closer to himself, the thing shaking all the way.

Miruko at the side looked towards the action with critical eyes. Some part of her mind was trying to tell her something but she couldn't seem to grasp it. It was at the tip of her tongue. She might not be smart, but she has been in the field for a long time already and has done a lot to reach her current position. Quirk analysis being one of those, getting to the point it had become second nature to her now.

This continued on with Izuku trying his best to move around the dummies with just his quirk, the results were mixed, to say the least. The movements were slow and shaky, no matter how long he went at it the results still stayed the same. The only positive from it all was that he was starting to get used to the headache.

Miruko stood nearby, her face scrunching in thought as her mind started to remember some bits and pieces of something.

'Orbit….Gravity…..Wait…..those energies shouldn't even need to move!' She widened her eyes as she slammed a fist on her palm, attracting Izuku's attention.

"Miruko-san?" He called out, making her look towards him with an excited glint in her eyes.

"I think I got it!"

"Got what?" Izuku tilted his head in curiosity.

"I think I know why your quirk has a hard time operating outside your body." She said, making him look towards her expectantly.

"Really? What am I doing wrong?"

"You're using your quirk in the wrong way."

Izuku looked confused at that, "Huh?"

"You said the energy was the one affecting gravity right? But this whole time you've been using it like it was gravity. Think of it as a fishing rod, the energy is the rod and the gravity is the reel. But this time, rather than reel in the line, you've been tugging on the rod itself." She explained, his eyes widened in surprise. "That's why you have a hard time with control, you're literally using it the wrong way."

Izuku's eyes looked like they were about to pop out his face, his mind immediately going a couple of miles per second as he pondered her words.

She was right, he had been using his energy like it was gravity. There was always a sense of sluggishness when he used his quirk but he never really paid it any mind as he had thought it was just another part of his drawback.

And why should he pay it any mind? It was always there the moment he gained it, he had been using it since he was a child this way. Effectively locking himself into the 'the energy is the gravity' mindset even with the description of his quirk that the doctor had given. He was literally blind to the truth despite him using it daily. His potential was hindered by a bad habit. It was possible to happen, after all, it happens to martial artists who had practiced their moves incorrectly and had carried it over to their daily lives.

But then again, there was also the potential of it being incorrect. After all, Miruko has only seen his quirk in action a couple of times. The Sports Festival and their current training being her only source of info, there's a high chance for her to be wrong.

But the analyst and quirk enthusiast in him refused to deny her claim, it was better to test it now and be wrong rather than letting himself shut off his potential. Better have it and not need it rather than need it but not have it as the saying goes.

"I need to test this," He spoke, and she gave him an excited smile. Curious to confirm or deny her hypothesis.

He raised his arm towards another dummy, this time letting the energy pool around his hand form a large black orb that covered his whole hand. Unlike his Meitai Impact technique, this one was not completely black and allowed some parts of his hand to be visible underneath.

'Reel in the line, not the rod. Reel in the line, not the rod.' He mentally chanted as he closed his eyes.

He then felt a connection towards something, the feeling was something that he had always related to the energy. But no, the energy was the pressure he always felt in his body whenever he generated it, now that he finally focused carefully, this something was different from the energy. It felt like a force, a natural power that could be felt through his energy that held the very universe together like an invisible harness.

With a mental and physical tug, he pulled his hand back.

FWOOSH

The sound of air passing through could be heard as something impacted his hand. With a nervous gulp, he opened his eyes slowly as he looked down at his hand.

There was the dummy itself, stuck right at the palm of his hand. Even with the dark energy covering it, he was sure that the dummy was firmly stuck there.

Miruko looked on with wide eyes, a large smile splitting wide on her face.

"It worked…" Izuku breathed out, his eyes wide in surprise.

He could feel it, his quirk reacting rather smoothly from just that simple command. Of course, there was still some strain in his head but whether from lack of use or not would be explored as he continued practicing. But he felt it, his control being even smoother than before.

And all of this could have been achieved if he had just bothered to check his quirk properly.

"Midoriya?" Miruko asked hesitantly as she saw his shoulders shaking, his eyes glinting with boiling hot rage as he stared at his hand with a dark look. He was looking at his hand as it had insulted his own mother and proceeded to desecrate his father's grave.

"You alright there kid?" She called out hesitantly, worried for the verdette.

"Motherfuck-!" What followed was a series of curses and expletives that would make Bakugo impressed if he was there and even Miruko blushed in mortification while laughing her ass off.

Saying that he was upset was an understatement, he was downright pissed the fuck off.

It was always the quiet ones.

"-son of a bitch with a pipe whore of a mother!" he finished, breathing very heavily as he did so.

"...I don't think that's anatomically possible. And an All Might sized dildo?" Miruko asked with morbid curiosity with a bit of a bated breath from all the laughing she did, having heard it among the long line of curses that had come out of his mouth.

"You don't wanna know." Came the immediate answer as Izuku shuddered from the memory. He was an avid fan of All Might, borderline fanatic sometimes but there were lines you should not cross.

Miruko proceeds to not ask, seeing the haunted look in Izuku's eyes.

"Are you guys alright there?!" Ryukyu called out from afar, Yui and Momo looking over towards Izuku in concern along with the heroine.

"We're fine!" Miruko answered, "Midoriya here just had an epiphany and did not react well to it."

"Didn't react well is an understatement," Ryukyu muttered as she looked over towards the contemplative-looking Izuku. The verdette had immediately drowned everything out and gone off into a muttering storm as he contemplated the new development. The muttering itself was rather quiet, it could even be barely considered a whisper. But with how fast his lips were moving it was clear that he was on a spree.

Ryukyu then gave Miruko a thumbs up before going back towards her two interns, she would leave Midoriya in her hands since the boy seemed to be doing alright with her other than the slight explosive breakdown.

"Alright then, we should continue where we left off." Ryukyu spoke, though both of the girls looked at her with some hesitance.

"Will Izuku be fine?" Momo asked,

"He'll be alright, from what I'm seeing he was just mad at himself more than anything. Miruko can handle it." Ryukyu waved it off, confident of Miruko's abilities. She had been with the woman through thick and thin after all, there wasn't a lot that could faze the bunny heroine.

"If you're sure then," Momo relented, giving Izuku another concerned glance before focusing back on the hero. Something that was followed by Yui.

"Now then, as I said before. A constant movement would be beneficial for both of your fighting styles. Kodai, your ability with terrain shifting through the use of your quirk would make you harder to fight against especially when you're up against bruiser-based villains. Kinda like your fight with Midoriya in the Sports Festival." Ryukyu advised.

Yui nodded as she heard that, "I could use the earth to help me move, though I might need to expand more than just really tall towers." She contemplated, remembering how easy it was for Izuku to bring her down.

"Maybe some form of an earth slide? Kinda like Todoroki's ice slide that he used in your fight with him. You could try to make one by expanding parts of the earth to propel you forward." Momo pointed out, making Yui nod as she contemplated on how to actually achieve it.

Ryukyu nodded at that, happy to hear Momo's suggestion. "That's one way to move around, a few heroes do use some sort of elemental slides they made with their quirks. A good suggestion there, Yaoyorozu." Ryuku said, Momo smiled at the praise.

"Now then, what about you Yaoyorozu? Have you got any ideas for yourself?"

"Flying." Came her immediate answer.

"Flying? A bit odd but alright, I think we maybe can work on it if you make some jets around your armor through your quirk." Ryukyu wondered aloud.

However Momo shook her head at that, "I was thinking of using wings."

"Wings?"

"Those cloth-like wings that can also be used as weapons. I feel like it would be better for me that way." Momo explained, making the hero nod in understanding.

"If you feel like it's best for you then we'll work on that, I think I know a few quirk metals that could be used for it. And since you're using wings, I can help you with it." Ryukyu offered, making Momo nod in excitement

"I'll be looking forward to it then!"

Her excitement caused Ryukyu to chuckle in amusement. It was nice to see such earnest students.

[-]

Later in the evening, Ryukyu could be seen walking around the city along with both Yui and Momo by her side. Her eyes were vigilant as both students followed her as they walked along the streets in their respective hero costumes.

"Ryukyu can I ask something?" Yui spoke up, Ryukyu glanced back towards her with a raised eyebrow.

"Of course! What do you need?" Ryukyu asked curiously.

"What's the point of this?" Yui bluntly asked.

"Hmm?" Ryukyu raised an eyebrow at that.

"I know that the patrol was to keep an eye on crime, but I'm not sure how that would help. Villains would just memorize our patrol routes and proceed to do it somewhere far away than where we are. Won't it just be counterproductive?"

Her words caused Momo to nod along at that, it did seem a bit useless in the end.

Ryukyu nodded at that, "That is an excellent point, however, look around you and tell me what you see."

Both of the hero hopefuls did so, seeing the multitude of civilians that were walking around the sidewalk with a few of them waving towards the three with large smiles on their faces, something that was returned rather easily by Ryukyu.

"They're waving?" Momo hesitantly answered.

"Close but not quite, they are happy," Ryukyu revealed, making both interns look at her in curiosity. "The purpose of this patrol is to not just keep an eye out on crime, it is to also serve as a deterrent and give the civilians a sense of peace. To know that the heroes are always around them if they need to ask for help would make them feel safe." Ryukyu explained.

Both of them nodded at that, seeing the logic behind it. However, Yui still seemed a bit skeptical.

"My point still stands, what about the criminals?"

Ryukyu however chuckled at that, "That's why I have my sidekicks, there isn't just one patrol at a certain time in any given area, but rather there are multiple. That way we can at least minimize any criminal activity. Of course, there are also other heroes in the area, they can help cover any area we missed. Hero agencies talk and communicate with each other for a lot of things, patrol shifts are one of them." Ryukyu revealed, making them both nod in understanding at the answer.

"Wait, is that Ryukyu?!"

"Isn't that the mecha girl along with her?"

"Hey, that's the second place winner of the sports festival!"

Suddenly the sound of an excited and surprised crowd could be heard from afar, making all three look towards the source with varying levels of surprise. Momo and Yui were surprised by the sudden attention while Ryukyu seemed to accept her fate.

Looking at the source, they could see a crowd start to form as they hurriedly approached them, making Ryukyu look even more resigned which made the other two even more worried. It's just civilians so why was she so scared about it?

"Here's another lesson for you two, how to handle your fans," Ryukyu said before they were engulfed by the crowd.

That day, both Yui and Momo learned how to dread their fans.

The three only hoped that Miruko and Izuku were having an easier time.

On the other side of the city, two blurs could be seen jumping across rooftops. Civilians pointed towards them as they smiled in excitement whenever they saw them pass by.

"Miruko!"

"Hey, was that the winner of the sports festival?"

"Wait Miruko is working with someone? And a kid at that?!"

Sounds of exclamations and surprise could be heard throughout the city, making Miruko grin as she heard this.

"You hear that Midoriya? You're famous!" Miruko grins towards the floating form of Izuku.

Izuku however, merely smiled sheepishly as he heard that. A bit unused to it all.

Currently, the verdette was floating beside the heroine as they stopped on a rooftop. Ever since Miruko had helped him figure out how his quirk actually functioned, some of his techniques had become far easier to use. Flying was one of them. By using Shroud state and changing his body's gravitational direction, he was able to stay afloat and even let himself get 'dragged' through the air so to speak. It was a bit more complicated than that but the simplest explanation was basically changing his body's gravitational direction and letting gravity do the work afterward.

But control was still an issue for his quirk, Miruko's revelations just let him not have a headache and a half whenever he pull off some complex moves.

HONK HONK!

The sound of a car honking at them could be heard from below, making them both look towards the source with some curiosity.

On the ground, there was a large white van with some sort of piece of equipment on its roof. The symbol of the local news network could be seen at the side of the van, which made Miruko groan as she saw it. Suddenly the window rolled down and out came a woman who was looking towards Miruko excitedly.

"Miruko! Do you have time for an interview?!" The reporter asked.

Miruko, however, sighed as she heard that, "Sorry miss but no, I got things to do at the moment."

The reporter, however, doesn't seem fazed at all by the rejection, "Oh come on! It will be a short one! I just need to ask about the hero beside you there. Are you two working together? Is he a new hero and you're just showing him around? Or wait, are you two dating?!" The reporter asked excitedly.

"I'm an intern actually!" Izuku interjected while he blushed from the implication, beside him Miruko was coughing slightly from the sudden accusation.

Thanks to how armored and utility-focused his costume was, it had made it easy for him to be mistaken for an actual hero. But then again, it wasn't really anything special as he was sure a few of his classmates could be mistaken for one as well thanks to how some heroes still made their costumes rather flashy like how some of his friends did.

The reporter seemed surprised at that, looking at Izuku carefully before realizing who he was. "Oh, you're the winner of the sports festival! Are you willing to have an interview right now? This is the first time anyone has ever heard of Miruko getting an intern, I have so many questions for you!" The reporter asked excitedly.

Miruko facepalmed as she heard that, already recovered from her coughing fit. "Goddammit, you shouldn't have said that." She sighed as Izuku seemed a bit confused on how to deal with the sudden excitement from the reporter.

However, the sound of police sirens could be heard from afar, catching both Miruko and Izuku's attention as they looked towards the source.

There a speeding car could be seen running away from the cops, a couple of villains had peeked out of the car and were using their quirks to occupy and hopefully stop the cops.

"I'll take care of the car, you make sure the civilians are safe!" Miruko immediately commanded, leaping towards the car with a mighty leap.

Izuku didn't stay idle, he shifted his gravitational direction, letting gravity drag him towards the scene with incredible speed as he 'flew' across the streets.

The police cars swerved around the shots from the villains, trying their best to avoid the mix of gunfire, fireballs, and earth shots.

"Dammit, we'll never get them if this keeps up!" One of the cops growled as he held tight to his seat.

"Fuck off you pigs!" One of the villains growled as he created a rather massive boulder on the palm of his hand, enlarging as time went on.

The cops widened their eyes as they saw this, there was no way they could avoid this and even if somehow they could it would be dangerous for the civilians around them.

"Eat this!" The villain roared as he threw the boulder, making it roll through the ground, cracking the road beneath. The boulder itself was rather large, easily dwarfing the cars as it rolled towards them.

FWOOSH

A black blur went past the police cars and straight towards the incoming boulder, making both the cops and the villains widen their eyes in surprise.

Izuku slid through the ground and shifted his gravitational direction, cracking the ground slightly as he pulled back his arm to his side. His eyes glanced around the area as he assessed the situation.

'A repelling wall would be sufficient.' He thought to himself as he let the energy gather around his fist.

With a soft exhale, he brought the hand forward. Letting the energy inside it loose, however instead of letting it disperse into the air, he instead let it gather and compact together into a large black circle-like wall.

'And push!' He mentally commanded.

Suddenly, the air in front of the wall was suddenly pushed away violently, blasting towards the giant boulder and exploding it into pieces. The gravity wall before him was one of the many things he was now able to do thanks to Miruko's words.

"Nice work Kid!" A voice complimented as a white blur landed on top of the speeding car. Stopping it in its tracks as the whole front part of the car was dented inwards.

The villains inside were thrown upwards from the sudden impact and had painfully smacked into the ceiling of the car. Making them all groan in pain as they look towards the source with fearful eyes, they could recognize that voice from anywhere after all.

Standing in front of them was Miruko herself, grinning down towards them with a savage smile.

"You guys seem to have quite a bit of fun, mind if I join in?" She asked as her crimson eyes shone with malicious intent.

The villains look between each other as if immediately understanding each other with mere looks, with a nod they then raise their hands above their heads.

"We surrender!"

Miruko's smile faltered at that, her body slumped down in disappointment as she heard that.

"Oh come on!"

Izuku chuckled as he saw that he had already rushed towards the car when he saw her landing on it. "Well you are the number 6 hero at the moment, no one would want to mess with you." He said while leaning beside the busted-up car.

"I know! But it's so disappointing though, I want a fight dammit!" Miruko stressed.

Izuku however deadpanned at that, "Miruko you already drove me to the ground with our previous non-quirk training, how is that not enough."

"You're too easy to beat though," Came the immediate and kinda innocent reply.

Izuku looked a bit incensed at that, "Easy talk coming from the person with a mutation quirk! Let me use my quirk and I'll show you!" He shouted, temporarily forgetting that his body was still superhuman even without using his quirk.

"Hah! If you can back it up then you sure thing ya punk! I'll beat your ass quirk or no quirk!"

"Oh, it's on!"

The nearby police and citizens chuckled as they saw the two's antics.

And the first day of the internship is nearly over, nearly being the keyword here. The next chapter will cover the rest of the day. And did my explanation for Izuku's quirk there made sense? I'm unsure if it is. And yes, this does mean there are still a lot of secrets that need to be uncovered when it comes to Izuku's quirk. We're just scratching the surface on what it exactly is and how it functions. I think I've left a sufficient amount of clues on how it exactly worked already.

You guys would also start seeing some increase in chapter-length going forward. I've started to abandon writing until a certain length and decided to focus on what scenes I want to happen in this chapter. It'll help with the arc pacing and even cut down on unnecessary cliffhangers like what happened in the Sports Festival Arc. That said, the break between arcs might become a bit longer as I try to make some backlog for it.

Anyways, yeah about that message. Look I'll be real, there will be pro heroines being part of the relationship. I won't tell who but I've been putting massive hints here and if that's not obvious then I don't know what is. I already got two reviews (guest reviews at that too) telling me to not add adults into the harem. I already put myself on this path, might as well commit. The fic was rated M for a reason.

But I can understand it is quite a disturbing thought for some and if you dropped this fic because of it I can understand.

Anyways, comment and review. Criticism is appreciated! These things help drive me to write each week!

See ya!
