Chapter 1 : The Beginning
"Huh?" Subaru looked around the city with wide eyes.
"What the hell?" He pinched himself to check whether he was dreaming or not, well he wasn't.
'OH MY GOD I HAVE BEEN SUMMONED TO ANOTHER WORLD'
Subaru started looking around to check whether the cute girl who summoned him was waiting for him or ….'don't tell me…..i was BETRAYED BY ANIME AND MANGA?!'
He was in the middle of a busy street and people started giving him weird looks because of his outfit and behavior.
"What a weird kid.."
"Mom, look! He is funny "
"Hushh, keep walking and ignore him"
'Oops, better leave this place quickly' Subaru thought to himself.
He started exploring the market area. There were a lot of people with dog ears, a tail and he also saw someone with a wolf head. Subaru was shocked when he saw all these different kinds of people 'demi humans' he thought.
There were swordsmen, dragon drawn carriages ,all kinds of things you'd find in a typical RPG.
A certain shop caught his eyes. The shopkeeper was a masculine man with green hair and he had something in his mouth. The shop had apples and a few more fruits which Subaru didn't recognize.
"Are these apples?" asked Subaru
"Apples? No kid, these are appas. Based on how you called these I assume you are a foreigner?" asked the vendor.
"Foreigner? I guess I am…"
"Hmm….my name is Kadomon. My shop has the best quality fruits you can find in this kingdom"
'Kingdom? So this place has a king?' he thought.
Subaru took out his wallet and showed it to Kadomon.
"HUH? What are these, kid? If you don't have money then get the hell out of here. I don't want broke customers standing in front my shop"
"Ok ok! Geez, can't you be a little less rude?"
Subaru left the shop and entered a dark alleyway "Man, where are my superpowers!? Aren't I supposed to be a hero in this world? Save the kingdom from the demon king and marry the-"
"Oi oi what are you talking about"
Subaru heard a voice behind and saw three thugs who looked like they came right out of comedy manga.
'Woah, my first event in this new world, i think this is the time when my great powers are going to manifes-'
Suddenly Subaru felt slight pain in his chest which was bearable but something unexpected happened. Everything around him froze, himself included.
'I can't move, I can't move, I can't move!'
Then he heard a voice which nearly gave him a heart attack, but what he saw scared him even more. A huge man? Animal? A demon? Some humanoid creature which was in a suit, all black. He or she looked a bit like a ghost which caused him to faint right that instant…..well he wanted to faint but he was frozen in time so all he could do was speak to the ghost but of course he could not speak because of the ghost's otherworldly power (well he is in another world hehe).

Those three letters were enough to convince that if this creature wanted him dead then it could do it without even moving, but it didn't, which means the ghost probably wanted to talk to him.
'Oh oh oh! My main quest, finally i have a main quest yessssssss-'
"I…..shall….give…you…..power"
'Power?'
"Yes….power…..power it is…..which…..you will…..need…..NEED"
'Ohhh he can read my mind and he seems to be a bit friendly' Subaru gained some courage and asked him straight up the one first thing which popped up in his mind.
'But…but….why? Why me?'
"Because…"
Subaru waited for an answer for a few minutes but he didn't get any.
'Uhhhhh, ghost-san??'
"It's….because…..you…..are…..rather interesting"
'Eh? That's it?'
The ghost ignored him and spoke with a sad tone, that's because he knows all his possible future and due to pity he decided to give him absolute power
"This….power….is…..called…."
'Why did I even ask him? Of course i need power, i am the hero of this world after all, i am going to save this kingdom from every danger and marry the-'
"COPY!"
The ghost and Subaru's body started to glow so bright that it rivaled the fierce sun itself. Subaru fell onto the ground gripping his chest because he was getting a burning sensation.
"Arghhhh…what the hell? Copy? What is that?"
But then realization struck him. With the help of his knowledge on manga and anime he had a rough idea about his new power.
'I…..I…..I can copy others powers?!'
Though he wasn't sure whether his theory was correct or not he felt extremely happy. Happier than ever before.
"Oi Oi what is this guy talking about? Seriously i think he has lost his mind"
'Arghh, totally forgot about these guys'
"What do you want?" Subaru asked, annoyance in his tone.
"Cocky eh? Give us everything you have kid, if you don't want to get hurt then hurry"
"Sorry i don't have any money on me, so get lost i don't have time to deal with low level thugs who can barely give me any XP"
"What?" said the short guy with a funny face.
"OKAY! Time to use my amazing power…COPY!"
'Oh, yeah they don't have any useful ability to copy-'
Instead he received a painful hit on his head and fell face first.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
A blond girl with revealing clothes, a scarf around her neck and something shiny in her hand stepped on Subaru's head and landed on his back.
"Ooof" Subaru stood up and looked at the girl running away at insane speed.
"Move it move get out of the way"
"What the hell? Who are you brat? You step on me and then try to leave me here without apologizing? Atleast help me from these stupid thugs. I am getting mugged you know! " said Subaru, anger and panic clear from his voice.
"Sorry, but I am in a hurry. Live strong!" said felt and left the alleyway in a split second.
"Does that make you any less hostile towards me?" asked Subaru
"Nope, it rather gave us a even bigger reason to beat the crap out of you" said the 6 ft guy
Suddenly another girl appeared behind Subaru, panting and was about to ask them something but stopped, trying to catch her breath.
"*huff* *huff* stop you thief!" said the girl
Subaru turned around and looked at the girl
"Gorgeous" said Subaru without even thinking…accidentally.
What Subaru saw was the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. It was as if she was the very definition of beauty, cuteness, heaven brought together into a single body-
"Give me back what you stole, thief!"
"What?" said Subaru and the three thugs at the same time.
"We didn't steal anything from you missy, a girl ran by here a few minutes ago, chase that brat and leave us alone" said the shortest guy among the thugs
"Oh no! I need to go" she started to run.
"I am being mugged you know…" said Subaru but not loud even for the beauty to hear it.
Suddenly the girl stopped and said "but i cannot overlook whats going on here either"
Suddenly spikes made out of clear ice formed behind her and startled our boi, subaru.
"Oh sh*t, she is a magic user. I think we should get the hell out of here" said the slim guy with average height.
"Don't be a scaredy cat, there are three of us and two of them. I am sure we can deal with them."
Said the shorty.
"Ohh? Then let's make i " Suddenly a flying cat appeared out of nowhere.
"Yep, we definitely need to run…SHE IS A SPIRIT ARTS USER" said the slim guy
But the other two didn't move, they were planning something. Subaru noticed this and started thinking 'Yes! a beauty, a cat and me- no no no..let's think what to do. What should i do. Use my power? YES creating icicles is definitely an ability'
Subaru focused and said the word "Copy" he visualized the icicles. He waited for a few seconds but nothing happened.
'Maybe i need to replicate her actions as well' thought subaru
He brought his hands upwards and mimicked the girls action, he started visualizing icicles and then-
He felt it, yes he felt it. The cold feeling at his back. He looked behind and saw it, four icicles oddly shaped aimed towards the thugs.
'Yes! I did it i did it yaaaassss'
"HE IS A MAGIC USER as well" said the slim guy.
The three thugs started trembling and started running away as fast as they could. He looked towards the girl who had a shocked face.
''Ohh damnnn, I used magic. I can become incredibly overpowered and be the most powerful man in this world' thought Subaru, with a lot of excitement. But that happiness and excitement short lived
'He used the same magic as me! I have never seen anybody else who could use the same magic spells as me. Maybe, just maybe he could help me find my insig-'
Subaru started falling down onto the ground
'AHHHH, what is that pain!? It hurts it hurts it hur-' and then he fainted.
