Chapter 3 Emmetts POV
"Guys?" Bella said coming into the room. We all forgot she was coming over. "What's happening?" She said coming into the room and walking to Edward's side. She looked over to were we were all staring, and she gasped when she saw Alice shaking, curled up next to Carlisle's side. "What happened?!" Bella asked wrapping her arms around Edward for comfort.
"She went too far into her visions, and now she's stuck in the time when she was in the asylum." Edward told her, kissing her head sighing.
"Oh..." Bella said, her face falling. Carlisle gently moved Alice into Jasper's side, and got up.
"Where are you going?" Esme asked, standing up and walking to his side.
"We can't just stand here and assume that she's going to wake up. I'm going to go read a couple of books, make a couple of phone calls." Carlisle said leaving the room. Esme was about to walk out to support her husband, but she turned around to look back at Alice. We didn't need Eddie-Boy's mind reading skills to know that Esme wanted to stay back with Alice. Carlisle noticed this and chuckled.
"You stay with Alice, Es, I'll call you if I need or find anything." Carlisle said smiling. Esme smiled.
"C'mon Esme. I know you want to be with Alice, but we'll call you the second anything, and I mean anything happens." Jasper said, trying to persuade Esme to go on a hunt with us. "She will be in good hands, plus, you miss Bella, right? It's too risky if you haven't hunted, in what? A month?" Jasper said, clearly wanting Esme out of the way.
"I guess I miss Bella... but if you two don't call me the second anything happens, even if she just screams, you will call me. Promise?" Esme said, her face serious. We were all silent, we knew not to mess with Esme when she was like this.
"I promise, love." Carlisle said wrapping one arm around her shoulder and rubbing her arm. Esme lent back into his chest and sighed. Esme used to have a son who died when he was two days old, so even if the tiniest problem happened to us, (like when Alice missed a sale at one of her favourite shops,) Esme would always make sure that we were comfortable and happy afterwards. If she couldn't look after her biological son, she would always look after us. I reached out for Esme's hand, she hesitated, looking at Jasper who nodded. She sighed and took my hand with a small smile.
