Emmett's POV 1 Week Later

The whole 'Alice Blacking Out' situation passed, Carlisle and Alice spent more time together in his office, so Carlisle could try to figure out what to do if it ever happened again. Bella had started coming around more as Esme started hunting more, and everything went back to normal, well, as normal as the Cullen household got. Edward and Bella had gone to visit her mum, Esme and Jasper were currently hunting, Alice and Carlisle were in his office, and I was bored. Rosalie had gone shopping, so I went upstairs to see Alice and Carlisle in his office.

Alice was sitting on Carlisle's table, with her mouth open and Carlisle was taking some sample of her venom or something. Her eyes were a pretty dark golden, so I suggested we go hunting. Carlisle agreed, so we decided that after Carlisle did a couple of more tests, we would all go hunting. We left a note for Esme and Jazz, as we decided to go pretty far up North, and we wouldn't be back until the next day. We were walking up a steep mountain no human would be able to walk up, when Alice got a vision.

"Carlisle Cullen!" She screamed, causing Carlisle to dash to Alice's side, in case she was going to black out or something. He was rubbing her back, and repeatedly asking her questions in a whisper, like, "Are you ok? Should we go home? What did you see?" But she was grinning and she looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with joy. She hugged him, jumping up and down. She knew for a fact that she wouldn't hit his chin, as their height difference was large. She pulled away, and started squealing. Carlisle grinned at her, even though he had no idea what she was talking about. She then continued walking up, as if nothing had happened.

"Uhh, Alice! We're not all mind readers you know!" I said calling up after her. She turned around and grinned.

"Em, I'm not supposed to know this secret, so if I can't keep it from myself, I'm going to keep it from everyone else, well, except Edward." She said, continuing her strut up the hill. I groaned. I wish I could read minds like little Eddie-Boy. Carlisle had stopped walking, and just watched as Alice walked up the hill, bouncing around a bit as she went. He shook his head smiling and continued walking up the hill, behind her.

"Do you have any idea what she's talking about?!" I asked, when Alice sprinted off out of ear shot.

"I may have given Jasper a certain blessing when she was... you know." He said, as I caught up to his side.

"What?" I asked, what blessing does Jazz need?

"You asked me for the same blessing in 1936." He said, patting my back and catching up with Alice.

"Wait!" I called, catching up after him, "Jazz is proposing!" I practically screamed.

"Jeez Em, your acting like Alice when there's a sale."

1936 Emmett's POV

I knocked on Carlisle's study door, Rose was shopping, and Edward was hunting. It was just Carlisle, Esme and I.

"Come in, Emmett." Carlisle said, and I slowly opened the door. I'm not a scaredy-cat, I freakin' wrestled a bear! But I've never been more nervous in my life. I've been a mature vampire for a while, and Rose and I started dating when I was a newborn, so I felt the timing was right. Esme looked up at me, smiling and placing her book on the desk. She was sitting on Carlisle's lap, and Carlisle was sitting at his desk. Carlisle placed down his pen, and looked up at me too. He shifted himself so Esme was sitting next to him, curled up to his side, rather then on him, so I could have all his attention.

"What can we do for you, Em." Carlisle said. He could tell I wasn't in here for a chat, as my face was super nervous. Esme giggled.

"Why are you so nervous Emmet! I thought you weren't scared of us anymore!" she said, teasing me.

"I was never scared of you," I muttered under my breath, embarrassed. Esme grinned, and Carlisle smiled a small smile.

"I have... something to ask you," I said, sitting down at the chair in the other side of Carlisle's desk. Realisation hit Esme's face, and she smiled, getting up, and sitting down on the table. She must have figured it out.

"Rosalie and I... have been... well," I started, but was interrupted by a quiet - almost silent - squeal from Esme. Carlisle gently rubbed her back, silencing her.

"We've been together for... well, a while... and, well..." I drifted off into silence.

"Emmett," Carlisle started, as Esme curled herself up in Carlisle's side again, grinning at me. "I think I know what you want to ask." Esme was practically vibrating with excitement. "You want to-" "YOU WANT TO PROPOSE!!!" Esme interrupted Carlisle, as she jumped off Carlisle, in a way that would have hurt him if he was human. The next five minutes was spent with Esme embracing me tightly.

Authors Note

I might do a one shot of Jaspers proposal, but I'm not doing a wedding, (I love weddings, but watching them on tv or reading them in books make me cringe, idk why) anyway, thank you for reading.
