He pulls out his homework. I look over his shoulder. I see that it's the civil war.
"What is your homework?" I ask
"I have to do a project on someone in the Civil war." Jared explains "I don't know who to do it about."
"Why don't you do it on my husband? I think I have a journal of his in my office." I tell him pointing to my office.
"Sweet thanks!" He runs into the office, and I can hear him shuffling around.
He comes running out holding an old black leather book. "Be careful with that it is very old."
"Definitely Mrs. Whitlock" he says sitting down again.
"Why don't you go up to Paul's room and work on that?" I say to him.
"Sounds good" He says running upstairs with his stuff.
I finish up putting stuff in the oven and go sit at the island. I pull out my laptop and start working on the finances to my business. I own a potion business I supply medication that helps with sore throats, colds, and flus. Witches and Wizards get actual potions off of my business. I took this business over from my dad, who took it over from his dad.
"Hey mom, when will dinner be ready?" Brady walks in and asks
"It should be ready in an hour." I say "Why?"
He walks over to me and hugs me from the side. I hug him back. "Collin and I are getting hungry" He says quietly. He and Collin still are scared about food. They have been living with me for 3 years, but they are still afraid of getting hungry.
"There is fruit in the fridge that you can eat." I tell him.
I always keep snacks in the house for the boys. I grow a lot of my own food in the garden in the back. I also grow a lot of my ingredients for my potions in my own garden. It helps bring down on business costs and food costs of housing multiple wolves. The wolves know that if they are hungry, they can swing by and get something to eat or eat something from the garden. I usually get the boys to help with the garden if I need it.
Lately Emily has been coming over to help. I give her some of the food and spices. We also make jams, salsas, and sauces. I give her some of those as well. I also like to extreme coupon when I get the chance. I go to Seattle once a week to do some extreme couponing and get tons of groceries. I have been telling Paul that he can move into the basement if he wants, but I don't think he wants to just yet. I have a lot of the basement as a stockpile. I donate portions of it to the food pantry here in La Push. La Push has a large population that is in poverty.
I have paid for the school to be better here since I moved here. Hopefully, that will help the next generation. My boys will all be going to online college. I also told Jared and Seth's parents that I would be willing to pay for them to go to college or university. I explained to the counsel that I would pay for all the wolves to go to college or university online. I will not have the Wolves not able to support themselves. I know Jared wants to be an accountant. I think he will do well. He has applied for school and gotten accepted. Sam went to school for construction and business management. I manage his books to help him out. I have a feeling Jared will take over when he is done school.
I notice the oven alarm goes off telling me that the food is done. Jared comes running down the stairs. He starts putting the plates on the table. I pull the food out of the oven and put it on the table. I call Brady and Collin. They both come running in and sit at the table. Jared sits down as well. They all dig into the food. I sit down and help myself to my helping. They are shoveling food into their mouths at top speeds.
"Collin and Brady, after dinner you will do you homework at the table." I tell them.
"Alright." They both agree
We finish up eating quietly. Jared clears the table and starts to do the dishes. Collin and Brady pull out their homework. They pull out math and science. Brady cruises through his homework quickly. Brady is really good in science and math. Collin is better in English and History. They both have their own strengths.
"Collin do you need any help?" I ask
"No, I think I can do this" He says starting to work out his math homework.
"Let me know if you do." I say standing up to help Jared with the dishes. I walk over and start to dry the dishes.
Jared starts to get messy with washing the dishes.
"Don't make my house a slip and slide." I say laughing at him
"Oh yeah" He says splashing me.
"Oh really? We are going to play that game." I say. I roll up the towel and snap it at his butt.
"I give! I give!" He yells. "You win!"
We both laugh. He finishes washing and I finish drying and putting away the dishes.
"How is the journal?" I ask him
"It's good. There is a lot about you in the journal. You aren't married yet though." He says
"Oh, you grabbed an earlier Journal. I have one he gave me from right before he went missing." I say. I walk into my office and walk to the wall with the bookshelves. I pull out the correct journal. I have read it over 100 times, so I know exactly where it is. I walk out of my office and hand it to him. "Well off you go. That is the right journal."
I go and sit in the living room with my laptop and I work on my paperwork, until Paul gets home.
