This is a novelization of Httyd, with a twist. For starters, Hiccup is a girl named Emer. Second, she has a twin sister named Gilda. Emer wishes to not be an outcast anymore, Gilda just wishes for them both to live. That's hard to do for two weak but smart girls in a society of war, bloodshed and battle ready Vikings. Emer downs a deadly dragon, and life changes for them both.

During a battle, Hiccup is slain by Viggo. Astrid thirsts for revenge on the murderer and grapples with her loss. Throughout the year of 2022, one short HTTYD stories will be released each month. Each story follows Hiccup, Toothless and all their friends and family on an adventure or a situation and lessons are learned along the way.
