Chapter 8 - New Familia?
"So how do you feel, little one?" - asked the prince.
"Lord Zeagrus..."
"Call me Zeg" interrupted her statement
"Why did you help me?" - asked Lili
"Why not? But if you're asking how I found you, you were just very lucky. As a matter of fact, I was running away from a horde of ants"
"Ekhm… Obviously as part of the running exercise" he smiled
"So you are an adventurer?"
"Technically not, but I've already been on more than one adventure" in technical matters he was a prince "What about you?"
"You can say i'm quite opposite, as I am supporter"
the prince looked at her questioningly. At that moment words like adventurer or supporter did not mean anything to him. He guessed that they were probably some kind of professions
"So where are your parents?" probed prince.
"Lili is on her own, but she can take care of herself". she smiled forcibly
"And what does the supporter do" he did not press the issue
"The supporter's job is to help brave travellers like you collect crystals, carry trophies and help you navigate the dungeon"
Zeg wondered, that is, the role of a guide and a porter. Although he found it difficult to imagine this girl in this role.
"Perhaps, then, when you have recovered, I shall avail myself of your services." - smiled Zeg.
"Unfortunately the Lord may not know this, but a supporter only works with his Familia" - she said half-truthfully.
She did not want anything to happen to the person who helped her. She preferred not to cause problems to good people and this way was always the best excuse
That should not be a problem. In that case, all I have to do is to join your Familia.
" No!" exclaimed Lili " Lord should not hastily throw words to the wind... you may not be aware but Lili familia is Soma Familia"
Zeagrus waved his hand "I know, I read it in the index, the God of the moon"
"From what I understand, people join him to see him shine."
Lili looked at him questioningly
"You know as in moonshine" the prince has given himself a mental high-five
Lili looked in disbelief and after a while she burst out laughing and the corners of her eyes rose in a smile
"I knew you had it in you, kiddo. You know it's decided"
"What is decided?"
"You will be my supporter. I can't let little girls risk their lives alone in the underground unsupervised" The prince said and left the room
Lili was so shocked that she didn't have time to get angry about being called a little girl. Since she couldn't move, she couldn't run after him to knock the stupid idea out of his head.
'Wait a minute, little girl, little one, kiddo...'
'What a jerk! I'm almost 18' Lili burst out in fury forgetting for a moment what the prince had said earlier
In the meantime, the prince came out of the guildhall. It was already night and the moon was hidden behind the clouds. The street was lit by magic crystals and there was not a living soul around
If the mortals were not so different from the gods, the prince was sure that the stock of liquor in taverns was getting thinner by the minute.
Curiously, as he walked, the prince had the impression that something was missing, that it was darker than usual. As he looked at his feet he saw that he was not leaving burning footprints behind him. This was a sign that the rivers of Styx had indeed decided to give the prince free rein.
Zeagrus, despite being able to escape from the underworld through the ever-changing paths of Tartarus and Asphodel, forgot that in the mortal world the roads remain the same. But most importantly he forgot to ask for the directions, and pride would not allow him to go back and ask. So, with a confident step and trusting in fate, he set off towards the tower.
As he walked, the prince looked at the buildings. Zagreus had always felt that he did not belong in the house of Hades. Some time earlier, against his father's wishes, he decides to escape from the underworld - no matter how many attempts it may take him.
So when he unexpectedly achieved the impossible, he did not know what to do next. For now, he decided to check the local gods starting from those he does not know, so that his absence in Hades would not be noticed.
As he walked towards the tower he began to hear noises, which could only mean one thing. There had to be a tavern nearby, and if there was a tavern nearby then there were also people. Such people would be able to point him in the right direction
Provided, of course, that they are not already drunk. So it was a race against time.
After making four turns, a tavern appeared to his eyes. In front of the door stood a girl with blue-silver hair tied up in a ponytail. She was wearing a green apron that matched her figure. However, something about her seemed familiar to the prince. Although she did not exude a divine aura, something told Zagreus that the truth might be different.
Nevertheless, the prince never succumbed to the Fury sisters during his attempts to escape. This will not happen this time either
With a slow step he moved towards the tavern. As he got closer he could hear the call
"Hostess of fertility is open once again. We have the food and the cutest service in town. Come and check!"
"Excuse me my beauty, do you know which way to Lord Soma's residence" Zeg asked the girl
Syr turned and looked into the eyes of the prince of the underworld "Yes of course" she replied smiling
"I could be wrong but I haven't seen you in town Mr...?"
"Zagreus, but you can call me Zeg"
