Chapter 789.
"Chang History time problem."

(February 2. Great Lakes City.)

We now head to Great Lakes City, and the limo from Hope opens and the group come out to check out the place, and who are the group? We have: Lincoln, Jordan, Luna, Hope, Leslie and Delilah and they look around and see how calm and peaceful things are in the city.

"Alright, so today is some kind of big event for the Chang's right?" asked Leslie.

Delilah then corrects her. "Today is actually the Chinese Cultural Fair and that means that their serving some delicious food to the folks and having so many other traditions for folks to bear witness, this is gonna be so much fun!"

Hope giggles. "Let's not forget, the food is where it is at, and I know for a fact that Leslie is gonna be enjoying the food they have. Am I right, Leslie?" Leslie blushes and she giggles and the others chuckle hearing this.

Then they walk towards the Casagrande apartment to see if the others are around and then Jordan asks. "The other day, Ronnie Anne told us about this whole soccer thing involving her grandfather, I don't think we got much information."

Luna then recalls what she did overheard. "Well, on social media there was something about an old man running across the field the other day when the game was on and that he was trying to get the star player to rub his head. That sounds like a Hector Casagrande ordeal that we shouldn't hassle with."

"That sounds about right" replied Lincoln. "Alright, so let's go and find... What the heck? Sid? Adelaide?" They spot the two Chang sisters headed towards them and they look panicked.

Sid and Adelaide then start panicking and trying to tell them what is going on and all of them are confused by this and so are the eagles, and so Raptor flies up and uses gust to calm them down and make their hair kinda look bad. "Thanks buddy" replied Jordan. She then asks the Chang sisters. "What the heck are you two blabbering about and what the heck happened?"

Leslie then sees the food they have. "What the heck did you guys do to those fish?"

They see the food baskets and inside are the Bao shaped as fish, but they see that they look nasty. "Oh what the heck?!" yelled Delilah. "What the heck did you girls do to the Bao?!"

Sid then tells them. "Our dad was showing us this story about his family back then who made this special food from long ago and he wanted us to make so many of the same thing, and that it has to be perfect! This Bao recipe saved the village our ancestors have lived in long ago, and we failed the whole thing!"

Lincoln then asks. "How many do you girls need to make?"

"800!" yelled Adelaide, she then wipes away her tears. "We thought about doing the shortcut way and we got some help, but we rushed it and now they're all ruined, and worse of all, the folks from the book are on the loose and they're gonna ruin the city and take what they want!"

The group are confused, and then Luna asks. "You girls said what now?"

They then hear some crashing sounds and they spot what looks like three bandit folks from ancient china and they are wrecking someone's car and headed for Hope's limo, but the driver turns on a net cannon and they are contained, and given some mild shock

"Are you sure those aren't folks cosplaying?" asked Leslie. "It looks like they are, they could be headed to the festival to show off what they can do and..."

They then hear the three bandits yelling and struggling to break free. "This will not hold us, we will escape and we will demand all this village has and take what we desire!"

"Who dares to stop us?! We shall execute and show you no mercy!"

"Yup, these guys are legit" replied Jordan. "But how the heck did they even come here?!"

"That looks like the reason why." Delilah points above and they all see the clouds in the sky and the thundering sounds from it. "I am surprised we didn't notice this when we got here." The eagles look to each other and sigh, they noticed it and thought the others did.

Lincoln then realizes. "So, they came out of your book, well your dad's book and are now here. This is something our counterparts should handle, but I don't think there is time to deal with that. We need to send them back through that thing."

"Let me call my godfather, maybe he can fix this." Jordan then uses her phone and calls Peter Harris.

Luna then asks. "And how did all of this turn up?"

Breakfast Bot then tells them. "I believe it happened when we were making the Bao. It all went Awry and I got hit by the filling used for the bao, and thus my sparks and electrical systems went to the book and thus we have opened a rift through time and space, sorry."

Lincoln then gets a text message. "Guardian from the other world sent a message. He says that I am sending someone to handle this problem. I am currently dealing with something else." He then puts his phone away. "Well, this sucks. So, any ideas on how to calm these bandits down?"

Leslie then asks. "Did you guys try something to calm them down?"

Sid then speaks. "Yeah, we tried the bao but they didn't look good and they didn't want anything to do with them and so we aided in trying to show them the other food this city had, but it didn't work and we need to make the bao that delights the eyes, fills the stomach and energizes the body."

"We should've just did the long way and not the shortcut way" replied Adelaide.

Lincoln scoffs. "Sounds like something I did back then alongside Clyde." He then has an idea. "You girls go and make some better bao, and make it right and Delilah can come with you girls to help, while we keep them occupied."

Sid and Adelaide nod, and then they go back into the apartment, and so does Delilah to help them. While Lincoln, Jordan, Luna and Leslie go to the net covered bandits to calm them down. "Alright, time to show you guys something that could keep you guys occupied" replied Lincoln.

He then shows them a plate of his dad's Lynn-Sagna, and then Jordan has some chocolate chip cookies made by her mother, Luna has some chicken curry in a lunch box she made alongside Luan and Leslie shows them the beef sandwiches she was given from her mom.

The net is removed thanks to Apollo and Raptor and the three bandits like the food, and they are impressed by how it tastes and it seems like they have calmed down and accepted the meals. Then Sid, Delilah and Adelaide arrive back. "Wait what? Already?!"

Sid nods. "Yup, turns out Delilah knows how to make them, perfect and fast."

Delilah smirks. "Recall Middle School when I was baking for our school project?"

Lincoln and Jordan chuckle. "Yup."

"Not really" replied Leslie. "I wasn't around to see that, sorry."

"No worries" replied Delilah. "Now, eat up folks!" They all see the Bao tossed to them from the baskets and the three bandits, along with Lincoln, Luna, Jordan, Leslie and the eagles catch the food and they all begin to eat them and they see the three bandits are amazed and happy by what they see and eat.

"This, this delights the eyes!"

"This fills the stomach!"

"This energizes the body!"

The others also like this, and they watch Leslie eat five more. "What? I am pregnant, get over it!" Her tone only means one thing, she is slowly gaining... Oh god, mood swings!

As soon as they finish eating, one of the bandits speak. "You're village will be spared."

They all sigh in relief, and then Adelaide speaks. "Alright, we need to get you guys back into your world and we can assure you guys that there is a lot of good and delicious bao you can all enjoy and eat, all you gotta do is go to Clearwater Bao and there will be enough for you three guys, and also keep the village safe from any danger and harm."

Then Breakfast Bot speaks. "Warning! Warning! The rift is about to close."

"We need to hurry!" said Sid.

"Anchor, down!" from above Sergei Dragunov Spellman lands down with his anchor and then he swings it around and they all back away and the three bandits are caught in the anchor twister swing he made and he yells. "Return to thy domain from where thou have cometh from, bastards!" He then stops and throws the three bandits and they are sent through the rift. "Now!"

A High-Speed Modified Viking Fighter Plane is inbound, and inside if Leon. "In the pot. Five-by-Five!" He then fires a missile. "She's away!" The missile explodes in front of the rift and it's closed. "Objective complete people! Headed back."

Sergei then calms down. "Hey kids, so where is the cause of this?" Sid then hands him the book. "Allow me to have this scanned and then I will send it back." He then places a paper seal and it fades and the book glows and he hands it back. "Okay, all done."

All of them are confused by that, but at least it was all over. Then Jordan asks. "You wanna come along with us for the festival?"

"Sure, why not?" Sergei then uses his communicator. "Leon, you wanna have something to eat her? Come back to this city when you have finished landing that thing."

Leon. "Too late, I am at the Park and waiting. I beat ya to it!"

Sergei scorwls. "Jerk." They all walk to the Park for the festival, and thankfully because of Delilah S. Silver, they made a lot of delicious Bao and it's all made properly and no shortcuts.
