ENTRY 14
MAYBE BABY

"Bella, what color would you say that is?" Alice asked, handing over what she had in her hand.

"Purple?" Bella answered. "Is that a plus sign or a minus?"

"Looks more like the sign you use for division." Alice said. "I don't mean to be rude, but where the hell did you get these tests?"

"They were my mom's. They've probably been under the sink for 10 years."

"Well, what should I do now?" Alice asked looking over at her friend and then down at the two pregnancy tests that sat on her bathroom counter. "My mom is going to ship me off to one of those mother and baby homes you see on that TV show."

"Alice, that show takes place back in the 50s." Bella rolled her eyes. "I'm surprised Jasper even knew how to get you pregnant."

"Isabella Marie Swan, that isn't funny!" Alice shouted.

"Keep your voice down. Come on, we need to finish getting ready for the dance."

"What am I going to tell Jasper?"

"Nothing! Listen, tomorrow morning we'll drive to Seattle and go buy a brand-new test there."

"Okay." Alice sighed and wrapped up the pregnancy tests and buried them at the bottom of her trash can.

"Alice, it's going to be okay." Bella said, hugging her friend. "The tests are probably so old that anyone would get those crazy results and you're worrying for nothing. Now, let me finish doing your hair and then we'll get our dresses on."

Alice and Bella continued getting ready and an hour later, Alice's mother let them know that the boys had arrived to pick them up.

Tonight, was Forks High Valentine's Day Dance and Alice had been excited when Jasper, who she had been seeing since school began in September, agreed to go to the dance. Jasper wasn't really the school dance type of guy; he was more of the stay at home and play dungeons and dragons' type of guy.

Alice was head over heels for him on the first day of school when he accidentally walked into her open locker door because he was too busy reading to pay attention to where he was going. She fell in love with his shaggy blonde hair, shy smile and glasses that constantly slid down his nose.

All her friends thought she was crazy when she asked him out there and then, but she claimed it was love at first sight. Now she didn't know how she was going to tell him she could possibly be pregnant with his baby.

"You look beautiful Alice!" Jasper smiled as she got to the bottom of the stairs.

"Thanks Jazzy." She said, trying to give him a smile back as he slipped the pink rose corsage onto her wrist.

He really was the sweetest to remember she loved roses and her favorite color was pink. He looked amazing in his pink dress shirt with suspenders and bow tie to match her dress.

"Let me take some pictures before you guys leave." Her mother said as she got out her camera and started taking pictures of each couple as well as them all together. "Have a good night kids! I'll see you later Alice and Bella!"

The gym was decorated all in pinks and reds with shiny foil hearts everywhere. She loved getting to dance with Jasper and take pictures with all her friends. She was even happy for Bella and Edward when they won King and Queen of Hearts, but her mind just wasn't on the dance.

It was the final slow dance of the night and Jasper held Alice close as they swayed to the music.

"Are you okay Alice? You seem far away tonight." Jasper asked. "Did I do something wrong?"

"No Jazzy, tonight was perfect." Alice said as she laid her head on his shoulder. "There's just a lot on my mind."

"Well, if there's something wrong, tell me, I want to help you." Jasper said as he lifted her chin up so that she was looking him in the eye. "I love you, Alice."

Tears welled up in Alice's eyes. She had been wanting to tell Jasper she was in love with him for weeks now but didn't want to scare him off.

"Oh Jasper! I love you too." She cried before kissing him.

"I wanted you to have the best Valentine's Day. I've been wanting to tell you that since Christmas." He smiled that shy smile she loved so much. "I hope we're together for many more to come."

"Jasper, I have something I need to tell you."

"Okay?"

"Jasper, I think I'm…"
