Chapter two

'I've known about Ron, Ginny and their mother for years, but Ginny also knew just how powerful I am. Ron also knows so he doesn't do anything to get me angry, not anymore. But it was during the battle that I got to see the rest of the Weasley's were the same. They have very volatile tempers that explodes when someone in the family is threatened. They won't believe something that says one of them did something wrong and they will go all out to stop the person saying something and I know they would go as far as killing if they had to. If you told them this, the first thing some of them would do is try to beat the truth out of you, then me. They will refuse to believe it and any one of them could get angry enough to kill. I believe they would kill to make sure no one finds out, if we explain this to them. Even now, after she died, they are the most protective of Ginny. They are determined to deal with the person that killed her. They will refuse to believe it was an accident or that she somehow caused her own death. They will always believe someone killed her. I've heard them say they will make sure the person ends up dead, after putting them through a lot of pain first. That wasn't just talk, they would do it. I've seen enough to know just how dangerous they can be when one of them is threatened.

'She's the first girl in seven generations of Weasley's and the seventh child. They believe being the seventh child of the seventh child makes her special, makes her perfect. They will not allow anyone to say that she cheated on her husband. It's why Hermione and I worked on a way to keep her protected. Hermione knows how angry Ron can get but she loved him. I was worried that Ron could end up hitting Hermione if he was in a bad mood. We worked on a protection spell that is connected to her wedding ring. If Ron tries to hit her, he will be flung away from her and knocked unconscious. It gives Hermione time to obliviate him of whatever it was that made him angry. Hermione had been working on it for two years before she told me. She needed my help, or my power to get it to work. Only people who have been close to them for a long time know the hidden volcano that they all have and it comes out if anyone in the family is in anyway threatened or made to look bad. Most people know how funny and easy going the twins were. When Fred was killed, I really got to see that George was just the same. He killed three death eaters within minutes after Fred died. Percy loved to follow the rules or laws, yet he killed a death eater not long after Fred died. I heard he killed more but I never saw it so I don't know if that's true or not. Don't you see boss, this can't be known. Hermione and I had to stop Ron from killing death eaters and that took a long time. We know he did some, right after Voldemort was dead. Some of the ones that surrendered were found dead and Ron had snuck away from us around the time they were killed. I could never get proof he did anything, neither did Hermione. So you see, they can't be told any of this.'

'I have seen Ron get angry a few times. I've spoken to him about his temper and said unless he gets it under control, he will never become an auror. I have heard about Molly Weasley's howlers and I did see how she killed Bellatrix for almost killing her daughter. She went as far as killing because her daughter was in danger. So, after what I have seen and what you've just told me, I'm going to listen to you which means officially the case is closed but as far as anyone knows, it's not. I have to stop the others from working on this in their spare time without the Weasley's finding out.'

'Do what we do when we have crimes that have gone cold, leave it alone unless we get a tip or lead. There are still many unsolved crimes that we have to work on.'

'There is. But how about this. I let them know that you will be the only one working on it and in your spare time. You have the right as her husband. The rest have to go back to what they were doing before. Cases are piling up and we can't keep putting them on hold. Ron will keep working on it no matter what I say.'

'Yeah, he will but we both know he won't find anything. The only reason he doesn't blame me is because I was at the office with him and as far as anyone knows, Ginny was at the house, alone. We both know now she wasn't alone but whoever the bloke is, he took off. Hermione couldn't get in the house, she just saw Ginny through the window and she had been questioned using veritaserum. Ron even forced you to use legilimense on her as proof.'

'Yes, which told me just what type of person Ron really is. They hide it well.'

'The others do, Ron, Ginny and their mother don't. Ginny was the best out of the three though and she knew not to get angry with me. Even Arthur surprised me the first time I saw him go off. Bill and Charlie are both easy going blokes but the moment someone in their family is hurt or attacked, they become completely different people. Bill is the only one that will protect his wife even if Fleur was to say something about his mother. With Ginny, I'm not sure if he would still protect Fleur or have a go back at her if Fleur said anything about his sister. If he did, Fleur would instantly leave but they wouldn't know it until she was back with her family in France.'

'Alright, we know the truth now even if it can't be known. I will keep the file with the reason for her death in my office, sealed so only me, or the head auror can open it.'

'Just in case anything bad happens, which I hope it doesn't. Would Connie become head auror after you?'

'If something was to happen to me right now, then yes, it would be Connie, yet I know she's hoping to meet Mr right and eventually have children. If say in five years this happens, I could see her telling me not to name her. The rest are all trainee's. In a few years all of the trainee's will be full aurors but you have to have more than just being a good auror to run that office. Going on all that, you would end up as head auror since you are the most powerful, then add your reputation and political power. You would suit being head auror in a few years. I could leave notes that suggest a retired auror to fill in as head until you have more training, unless Connie puts off having a family. You only need another couple of years if something happens to me and Connie doesn't want the job.'

'Let's hope nothing happens to you boss. There is no way I could run that office, not for a few years. Connie would be a great boss, but I get what you mean. I want kids, but not for at least another five years. Ten would be better though since I am only nineteen. Anyway, I'll keep the file in my desk yet you have the official file with the proof of what really happened sealed in your office.'

'Yes, but Harry, mate, this has to be hard on you. Over the last few weeks, you've been grieving and angry, but now you find out your wife cheated.'

Harry ran his fingers through his hair, 'When I read that, I was angry, really angry. I was going to head to the Burrow to ask Molly if she knew. I instantly thought of Molly and Bellatrix. Now I know I could take her in a fight but if any of the others were there, I doubt I would survive if all of them were there. I finally sat down and thought about it. I am pissed off boss and I have a feeling Molly did know. I did a lot of thinking before I called you and realised that Ginny never loved me, Harry, she loved Harry Potter, the-boy-who-lived, the saviour. I found out from Ron and the twins that Ginny was obsessed with me before she even met me. Now Hermione explained to her that I would never look at her when I acted like an obsessed fan. She couldn't talk to me without stuttering. Hermione also told her if I saw her acting like any other teenage girl, meaning dating and kissing boys, then I might see her as a girl and not Ron's little sister and not a fan girl. I don't think she ever got over being the obsessed fan and it didn't help when I saved her in the chamber of secrets. Hermione said that Ginny told her I became her personal hero. She just made herself believe it was love when it wasn't.'

'I believe you are right and she's mixed up those feelings of gratitude with love, then add the fan of the-boy-who-lived, who just happened to save her. You did became her hero.'

'Yeah, I see it all now, before, no. I thought about it before I called you. There was so much going on and right when we began to date, the first time, I was still grieving for my godfather and only just found out about the damn prophecy. It wasn't really the best time for me. Because of the order and the secrets I had to keep, I didn't allow myself to get close to others, especially girls. I spent all my time with Ron and Hermione, then the Weasley family. I knew Ron liked Hermione, I never did, not in a romantic way so I tried to give them time alone. Ginny was the only other girl around my age that I spent time with. I did spend time with the twins but they were busy with their joke products.'

'I believe that's the reason you began to have feelings for her, she was the only girl you spent any time with. I also believe that most of the people your age are not as mature as you. You would suit someone a little older than you. Ginny was younger. If you were like most teenage boys you would have spent time with others and maybe saw who you were attracted to.'

'I think you're right and I think that's why I'm more angry than upset. My feelings were confused as well due to my life and only spending time with those few. If I did get to spend time with others, I might have realised my feelings for Ginny weren't what I thought. Okay, we know what we're going to do and I also have to make sure I don't date or anything, at least not for a year or two. They won't like that.'

'If you do end up meeting someone or you like someone, maybe talk to her and explain how it would seem insensitive if you were dating. Keep it quiet, at least for a year.'

'I could do that, but I doubt I'm going to worry about dating for a while. I might just concentrate on training so I can become a fully trained auror.'

'Knowing you Harry, you'll probably beat Mad-eye's old records. Alright, let me copy this page from the book and I'll put in the official, as a secret file.'
