Chapter 13 : Suprise!
Bella p.o.v.
After returning from Biloxi, Alice and I shared a stronger connection. I felt relieved when Alice told the pilots to fly us home. I thought she had forgotten about my need for expensive clothes but I felt that something was off when she started reprising the navy alphabet. Our family used this trick to keep mind readers at bay. Or rather to keep Edward and me from knowing something. Everyone knew about the trick but only Carslisle and Alice were capable of executing it perfectly.
Upon arriving home everyone was already waiting at the meeting table. Carslisle and Esme whom ussually sit at the head of the table now sat at the side. The two chairs at the head were for Alice and I. She told our family everything. About the scheme her father had set up, her fake grave, and his order to kill her.
Esme broke after hearing what happened to Alice. She would never understand how a parent would kill his own child. We all knew what had happened to Esme and her child. It was a very emotional subject. Edward had told me that we should avoid everything about those subjects.
Carslisle comforted Esme and one mental message later, Edward and I knew that this meeting was over. So I anounced that this was enough for now, Everyone needed some time processing this. Alice assured everyone that she was alright. But I felt that she was not telling the truth. As a matter of fact I knew that there was something wrong because of the navy alphabet. It gave me a wrong feeling.
I wanted to figure out what was wrong so I asked Alice to go hunt. While giving Edward and Jasper a silent hint to remain at the house. They both subsequently did so.
After running for for five minutes we stopped. I had spotted a hyena. I went into a hunting stance. With no mercy I attacked her. She was fast but I was faster. I tackled the animal and quickly ended her life. I made a follow up by getting two more.
Feeling satisfied I then let Alice hunt.
After both having eaten I asked her what was wrong.
She stayed silent but started laughing at me. Feeling annoyed I demanded that she explained herself. She stopped laughing but I saw the sprinkle in her eye.
We just needed you out of the house for thirty minutes. So the boys could arrange some things. We both needed to hunt so we killed two birds with one stone.
Oh! Alice. Please! What have you done?
Just wait until we return. You will love it. I already know.
I was trying to read her mind. Concentrating as much as I could on her. But she was too strong. I would have to wait until we returned. She was looking way too happy that her tactics are working.
We ran back to the house and I noticed everyone was now using the alphabet trick. Except for Edward whom was very annoyed by them. I immidiatly realized why. It was immensly annoying. If this kept on going I would seriously get a massive headache. Edward heard Alice and knew that we were in range. So before he could give anything away he also started this annoying trick. So something felt really off. When I enterred the house everyone was just sitting in the living room. It looked normal but they kept repeating the alphabet. So I went to go up the stairs. Strangely enough everyone got up and started following me.
When arriving on our floor there was a beautifull gift. Alice had imported the Piano from her elderly home. And it now had four names engraved.
Jasper - Alice Cullen
Bella – Edward Cullen
At the top of the stairs a new plaque was presented. It had a sentence engraved .
Beware entering upon this floor because foreseeing pixie and two mindreaders hide behind the doors.
The plaque was immensely funny but very true. No secrets would be kept upon this floor.
The big suprise was in our room. Alice had filled up my walk in closet from top to bottom. Leaving 1/8 of the place for Edward. In front me were two dozen of the newest tops, jeans , sweaters and an array of dresses. Acomplimented by juwellery and shoes. Probably 19 or 20 pairs of designer shoes. Most of them beeing high heels. I only spotted 2 pairs of sneakers.
This would honestly be a challenge to adjust to. Alice informed me that all of my old clothes were stored were I could not reach. So I really had no choice. She insisted that I changed clothes right now. We went into the closet and I made it clear not to pick a dress for now. So she chose white tight fitting jeans and a pink top. With pink high heels not too high. Like stylish high.
Alice! It is very nice but who is going to pay all of this?
Carslisle has already paid for everything. Not just for you! Rose and I also got some matching outfits to yours.
How much is in here?
Well about five prom and gala dresses. Another fifteen normal dresses, eight shirts, Twenty tops. About twelve pairs of pants,
Also twenty pairs of high heels and one pair of sneakers
Thats way too much. I van only wear one outfit a day. This must have cost a fortune.
Yes it did and you promised me that you would enjoy the cullen way. We bought you everything you need so you feel at home with us.
But honestly… how about when I hunt Alice. I will need some of my old clothes for that. Because blood is very hard to was out. And also I might accidentally rip one of those dresses.
Well you have everything on quick order. Esme has this system were she just orders a new or new model of the piece of clothing that was destroyed. And also… dont tell me that you would do it with Edward in those dirty clothes.
Why would I need fancy clothes for having intercourse with my husband? And what has this to do with not wanting to destroy your expensive clothes. I said.
First and for all. These are not my clothes, these are yours.
Secondly… Do you remember the previous time? What happened to the bed when you and Edward had sex?
I broke it.
And what happened to your clothes?
Edward destroyed those.
And what happened to Edwards clothes?
I also kind of ruined them..
I heard Emmet laughing from the floor below. And a very hard hit from Rose her hand on his head.
Dont worry. Youll get used to it. Just let ut happen. Emmet has destroyed countless pairs of Rose her clothes.
Jasper was now the one laughing.
Oh Jasper dont laugh at him.. Alice said.
How many pieces of lingerie have you destroyed since day one in our new home?
Jasper laughter cut off imidiatly and now everyone was laughing. Even Carslisle and Esme were enjoying the bickering.
In the afternoon the house settled down. I had been training with Jasper as well. We did one every day since my wedding. I was becoming a formidable fighter. Being helped with my gift. I got used to using it to know every move my opponent would make. We mixed the fight training with strenght and bloodlust control training.
For today there was nothing planned so I would be abled to have a nice moment with Edward. It was one of those rare days that the sun was breaking trough the clouds.
Edward and I decided to join Alice and Jasper on the terrace. Making ourselves comfortable in the new deck chairs.
I imagined that we would look like a thousand prisms. Sparkling in the sun. Four of us next to each other.
Suddenly Alice was thinking about the school. She was thinking about how it was a lot bigger then forks high about ten thousand students were attending the local high school. So with more people arround we would need to be way more carefull.
I spoke up and replied for everyone to hear.
I think it will be necesary to eat human food. It was something that everyone at forks high had noticed about us.
You are right Bella. When I look into the future without eating food. I can see us packing up about a week after we astart attending the new school. And if we do eat everything looks normal.
It would mean a lot of trips to the bathroom. It would be the one thing making high school even worse. Jasper chimed in.
The new school year was coming up. We moved here the seventh of july after being changed. It now already was the fourtheenth of august. In two weeks the new school year would commence. I still needed some bloodlust control training as I had ripped open a bag elk blood during my previous training. Even while holding my breath, I was still too close to the bag. It was something that I worried about.
The strenght control was evolving way better. And my talent control was also going in the right direction. The mind reading was fully evolved. But the shield was still very hard.
Whenever I activated my shield it would start a raging battle with my mind reading. I could only keep it up for a small amount of time.
The thoughts about my training were cut short. Suddenly I saw a vision trough Alice. Which Edward saw as well. My training would be tested right now. Two police officers where coming our way to verify all details about our family. And they needed to see everyone in person. Including me.
