AN: Hello, I am NigmaShady, and welcome to my new story called 'An Arcventure'. So the concept of this came from 'All The Difference In The Worlds' by Some Random Shitty Rambler. But I am going to have Jaune get isekai'd into anime… that have video games. So there may be some intersection between me and Rambler regarding FATE. I can't help it, I really, really love FATE… I guess that was shown in Watching Jaune Again!

For RWBY, I don't know. The show has been meh for me after season five and I just stopped watching alltogether. That's why my stories happen around seasons 1-3 and then I would like to build from there. If you have any anime worlds that you'd like to suggest then feel free, all I know is that I have listed down four for sure. The thing is these anime need to have a video game because that is the theme of the worlds.

I'll give a hint for the other three worlds since I have given away one in this chapter for Jaune's first journey. So in order: All I ever wanted to do was save your life. I never wanted to grab a knife, I swear. But baby now you feel like number one, shining bright on everyone. Far beyond the razor-edge of your blade. There lies a prayer that will surpass, a dream I know that will surpass throughout time

I am sorry again to fans of my previous fic, I just wanted to do non-react fics. I wrote myself into a corner especially when I couldn't finish drafts like ToAru and Fate/Zero and Sherlock Holmes. But anyways I hope you enjoy this story.

Everything was a blur.

It may be cliche but it does happen sometimes especially in times of duress. None especially for a certain Arc and in relation to that day.

I can't believe this is happening

Two hours ago, everything was relatively peaceful in the Vytal Festival but everything changed with Pyrrha's match with Penny. The White Fang's hijacking didn't help with the announcement of a Grimm invasion causing mass hysteria. Questions racked inside Jaune's head especially with his partner who was hiding secrets about Beacon.

It certainly didn't help that there was an Oumdamned dragon that burst out of a mountain and attacked the school. Or that there was a very dangerous ravenette who shot a comatose lady and fought the headmaster. They had enough time to escape the would-be catacomb and reach outside to find that everyone was evacuating and that their school was lost.

I had to stop her…

He realized his partner's eyes were staring at the tower where her memento mori lay and he just couldn't let her walk down this path. It was selfish, absolutely, but he couldn't afford to live with the consequences of allowing Pyrrha to walk valiantly to her death. He definitely knew when his protests were answered with a kiss that she was trying to distract him in order to use her semblance to push him into the locker to protect him. There was one problem though-

Forgive me, Pyrrha…

He did use the heat of the moment to push her into the locker and activate the controls, sending her away from the tower. He looked away from her strained voice calling out his name in anguish, especially from those emerald eyes that showcased a new meaning of 'hurt'. He just wanted to be her hero and save her from her fate.

It hurt…

It definitely hurt when he arrived at the tower, fully intent on not stopping the one who he presumed killed the headmaster. No… he was simply there to delay for help to arrive even though the odds of that were zero to none. The one-sided beatdown was worse than all the thrashings he suffered under Winchester. He was outmatched, she excelled in fighting.

I wish they didn't see that…

He didn't know her name but when the flaming bolt was about to be launched, he looked to the side and in horror saw the elevator open to reveal Pyrrha and Ruby who were terrified of his condition. He must have looked horrible, it didn't help when the villain's weapon pierced his chest. The last he heard were agony-ridden screams of his name and cold declarations of his uselessness, the last he saw were their heart-broken faces. The last they saw of Jaune was a sad yet satisfied smile before he disappeared from their sights as he turned to dust.

Where am I…

Everything around him was darkness and nothingness, truly a hell in it of itself. His new surroundings were an endless void that he was floating in. He, Jaune Arc, had many regrets… Not being able to apologize to his family, not being able to have a girlfriend, not being able to be a true huntsman-

Suddenly a flash of iridescent light appeared next to him, as the light dissipated, out came an old man with white hair and a beard while wearing a black overcoat. He noticed the new arrival touch his chest with white gloves.

The old man chuckled before shaking his head in wonder, "Truly, it is fate for me to reach another do-gooder while I am hopping between dimensions. I have never ever even walked in your world."

What…

"Young man… why are you here?"

What?

"Enlighten my curiosity. It is not everyday for someone like me to stumble upon someone between the reality between worlds."

I died-

The old man held his chin in thought, "Yes… that could work. Not entirely impossible but simply a once in a million chance of success. But still, what are you doing here?"

Flashes of his life appeared before him up till the tower, all he wanted was…

I wish-

The old man laughed like he heard a funny joke but calmed himself immediately. He had experience with the process of granting wishes regardless of how mundane or extravagant they were. This young man intrigued him, it reminded him of a certain good guy that was with his current apprentice. The conviction in a certainly impossible dream does tickle his bones with excitement of seeing the end result.

"What is your wish?"

He wanted to avenge his death, he wanted to be with his team, he wanted to apologize to his partner and his first best friend. Most importantly-

-to be a hero…

Suddenly a bright light drowned out his surroundings, he saw the old man give a sad smile in his direction. "I am eager to see your journey. Your arrival upon these worlds, will possibly change their histories for the worse or for the better. Including yours... The life of a hero is one that everyone regrets."

It doesn't matter!

I will save them! With a final cry of his ideal, his dream, his creed, he knew no more.

Rough… why is it so rough… He opened his eyes to see a clear blue sky, he turned his head to see sand. Jaune immediately stood up to find himself standing on a beach, confused where he was now. All he knew was that he needed to find some help.

What is that humming?

Jaune surveyed more of his surroundings, there was a forest near the beach. The humming came from there. It only took awhile for someone to come out from the dense clearing. He was shocked to find a fairly short and thin girl with black eyes and violet hair. He noticed that there was a beautiful yellow comb inserted to showcase the girl's bun. He also saw the light-green yukata (reminds me of Blake) and brown sandals.

The girl also noticed him and 'eeped' out in surprise. "Wh-Who are you?"

Jaune was also surprised with a smidgen of confusion, shouldn't this girl know what a huntsman looked like. Granted he wasn't yet a huntsman but…

Who wore a yukata these days, it wasn't that mainstream in Vacuo let alone in Mistral. "Um… My name is Jaune. Sorry for bothering you but I was wondering if you knew where I am?"

The girl was warned not to talk to strangers and outsiders but looking at him, she felt that she was not talking to someone evil. Definitely didn't feel like he was involved with anyone from the snaky leader and the tyrannical emperor. "Huh? Are you lost, mister?"

He nodded as she smiled, "Judging from your clothes, you must be an outsider. My name is Tama! Let me welcome you to the Land of Wano."

"The Land of Wano…?! But where's Vale?!"

AN: So that's the end of chapter 1, as you can see I decided to put Jaune in hard mode. My anime fans know how screwed Jaune is based on where he is currently. Also as always, looking for any editors if you are interested, expect random dates and times for new chapters to arrive.

For anybody mourning the loss of Solo Leveling, have no fear for I am here to give a recommendation: Legend of the Northern Blade (you can find it on Toonily).

That's all for now, thanks and I look forward to seeing you in the next chapter.
