Where am I?
Hello!
Why am I here?
Hello!
How can I come ba- OW! Jaune exclaimed, his train of thought disturbed by Tama who had pinched his hand really hard. The young girl pouted at the blonde huntsman-in-training. He recognized this look from his younger sisters when they wanted him to do something for them which he couldn't understand.
"Uh… sorry about that. Lost myself there for a bit. What did you want to say, Tama?"
"Simple. Where are you from?! Your clothes are weird!" He looked down to see that he was wearing his normal outfit which magically had no wear or tear like it was brand new. That was odd, since he knew that most of it was burnt by that person.
"I come from Vale."
"Where's that?"
"Um… a long way from here… I guess?" Tama seemed alright with the answer as she started to ask how he arrived in their place. But all he remembered was dying and then wishing he was a hero.
Was there an old man who talked to me… my memory is fuzzy… But I need to get back to Beacon!
"Can you help me Tama get out of here? I need to go back to where I came from and help my friends."
Tama shook her head, "That's impossible! The only ones who can leave the Land of Wano are the Beast Pirates or anyone under Orochi's orders."
Who? I have never heard of pirates or an Orochi in Remnant?
Which should lead into his next question, Am I even on Remnant anymore?
Suddenly, three people burst into the scene carrying various weapons. They all had the same motif, black devil horns endorsed on their heads, fur coats that look like something from Nora's favorite Vikings show, and they were all muscular. Jaune could immediately tell their disposition, it reminded him of Cardin back when he was being bullied.
The thug with an ax laughed and yelled out, "Well lookie here, we got ourselves a brat. You think she will sell well."
The thug with a mace on one hand and a brown sack in the other nodded, "I think we will get a pretty amount of gold from the Red Light District, aren't they looking for more fresh meat."
The final thug with two swords threatened the young girl, "So come quietly or else your weird friend gets it!"
Jaune was nervous, he just got here in this weird place and trouble just arrived. But Tama was unfazed and stuck out her tongue, "Beh! You're not doing anything! I have the Kozuki Family on my-"
"THE KOZUKIS?!"
The young Arc felt the room change in temperature, all three thugs were now serious and he felt they wanted to do something horrible to Tama. "Stay behind me, Tama!"
Jaune pushed Tama behind her as he unclasped Crocea Mors from his hip, the sheathe easily becoming a shield in his left hand with the blade on his right. By instinct, he was in the same form taught to him by Pyrrha. He was ready to defend his new friend from these hooligans that were the same as the White Fang goons at the Breach.
"Huh, the fucker wants to fight. Hey, call Hihimaru to deal with this clown. We still need to report to Drake! It seems we found either the Kozuki or some more of their idiotic sympathizers." The one with an ax then pulled out a horn and blew on it, an extremely large baboon towered over everyone present whilst holding a large katana in its hand.
Jaune was shocked, he never saw any animal reach this size in Vale. It just confirmed in his mind that he was probably not in Remnant anymore. But it didn't matter because what mattered now was protecting Tama from these bandits and their pet.
"The raging baboon of the mountains… it's been a long time since anyone's even seen it."
He doubted his current skill level could handle the large animal along with the three goons, "Tama, I-"
"I want to tame it!"
"Huh?" Out of all the words to come out of Tama's mouth, Jaune never expected a child to say anything remotely like making a dangerous creature into a pet.
"Hihimaru, attack!" The beast roared as it pounced and was about to introduce Jaune's shield to its sword. Another loud roar came out of nowhere, Jaune saw the spectacle of a large beast around the same size as the monkey.
Is that a yellow lion, a dog… and a pig?!
The new creature tackled the baboon out of Jaune and Tama's way, the chimera-like creature roared as the monkey quickly recovered. Hihimaru focused its attention on the new threat. Jaune and the scouts of the Beast Pirates were shocked at the new arrival while Tama jumped for joy.
"Komachiyo, you came!" The beast in response to Tama's joyful shout looked at her and smiled.
Was this one of Tama's friends or pets? Whatever it is, I'm grateful I can now focus on the three people in front of me.
The goon with a mace frowned, "Who cares about this new beast? We got Hihimaru and the kid looks weak anyway."
Hihimaru and Komachiyo then charged at each other, the chimera dodged the downward slash and went onto bite the primate's arm which only held onto the blade. Hihimaru yelped in pain and tried to use its other hand to smash the katana's scabbard at Komachiyo's face.
But the beast was not fazed and only bit harder, blood spilled from the wounds. Hihimaru in response lowered his head and bit Komachiyo's head forcing the lion slash dog slash pig to let go of its hold. Hihimaru then used this opportunity to grab Komachiyo with both arms and throw it away.
Komachiyo flew and crashed with tremendous force on the beach but the pet of Tama immediately went back up. It then charged while Hihimaru sidestepped the straight tackle. Komachiyo ate a stab from the katana to its side but in return headbutted the primate with enough force to make the monkey fall on its behind.
In the meantime, the three goons circled Jaune as if it was an action movie. Jaune's eyes kept moving and never losing sight of where his enemies were. He learned this the hard way back in the Breach and during his spars with Pyrrha.
"All right, Jaune. Just like we practiced. Follow these instructions."
"Shield up. Keep your grip tight. Don't forget to keep your front foot forward. Ready? Go."
This mantra or set of instructions kept him calm and instinct took over when the one with the mace stepped towards Jaune. The lackey attacked but was blocked by Jaune's shield, Arc then countered with a powerful slash that was helped with aura.
"AGH!"
The ruffian went down with a wound that went from his right shoulder down to his left hip. His comrades took this as a sign to just jump him but Jaune met them halfway and used his shield to block the ax and two swords with Crocea Mors. The two punks tried to gain purchase by pushing but there was no budge.
To them it was like pushing a large boulder, Jaune thanked aura and noticed that they didn't use it. He pushed them both in order to get some space for his next move. There was no way for him to check his aura level on his scroll. He didn't think that he had time to get it, and it was probably destroyed in the fight against that lady. He needed to conserve even though his reserves were massive.
He focused on the hooligan with the two swords and started with blocking one of the sword swipes before landing a shield bash to his opponent's open chest. He heard cracks as the enemy's eyes turned white and blood came out from his mouth.
"You fuck!"
The jackass with an ax was even more incensed since both of his fellow scouts went down to this scraggly blonde. He went wild with his swings forcing Jaune to block it all with his shield. What the subordinate couldn't understand was that Jaune was glowing white. Was it some sort of weird haki?
Jaune then slashed the goon when he overstepped and attacked him with a sword slash. The goon went down with a similar wound like the one with the mace. Jaune gave a sigh of relief upon his fight being over.
Tama hugged his leg in excitement, though his sword style was weird in comparison to what she had seen. It was still thrilling to see the Beast Pirates get rekt. Both humans focused on the two beasts who seem to be still evenly rumbling on the beach, neither side gaining an inch of advantage.
How do I fight a large monkey with a sword… I don't think huntsman lessons with Professor Port covered that.
However, luck came their way as Himimaru got distracted after noticing that the three scouts were down. This was enough time for Komachiyo to swipe the primate down with its paw. "Stop, Komachiyo!"
The chimera stopped any further battery, this allowed Himimaru to get back up but the monkey was dizzy. Tama then left Jaune and headed to the primate, Jaune was about to stop her but she then pinched her cheek with her thumb and index finger. A white and fluffy piece of millet came out, the blonde had never seen a semblance like this.
She then fed the piece of food to Hihimaru who instinctively ate it, the once wild animal became a domesticated pet in an instant. Tama laughed, "Let me ride, Hihimaru."
Hihimaru carefully picked Tama up and placed her on his back. Tama enjoyed the feel of her new friend's fur, Komachiyo also was happy that Tama was happy. Meanwhile, Jaune was still in a state of shock.
Since when did food come out of a person's body?
He'd heard of weird semblances before like his partner or Yang or even Blake but Tama's was different. Being able to not only make food from her cheeks but to also cause animals to become instantly friendly to her was certainly impressive in his eyes. Jaune was so lost in thought that he didn't notice Komachiyo pick him up with its mouth and throw him.
Jaune yelped and landed on the chimera's back, Tama laughed at Jaune's reaction. "Come on, Jaune! Let's go back to my village. You'll love it there!"
Jaune agreed and the two set off into the jungle, the blonde hunter-in-training enjoyed the ride with Tama. It was a distraction from the more morose thoughts creeping into his mind regarding the situation back in Remnant.
I wonder how everyone else is doing…
Ruby Rose needed a way to escape from what was currently happnening. Uncle Qrow informed her that they would begin their journey to Mistral, she then decided to tell Yang.
For the first time, her dependable and somewhat mature sister just snapped and yelled at Ruby. But what really hurt the silver eyed upcoming hero was Yang's next statement as if it was fact. "Who cares... You just want to leave me because I'm useless... everyone just leaves me..."
Ruby wanted to tell her sister that it wasn't true but she couldn't, they were leaving her in her time of need because she wanted to save the world. That was what hooked her into joining in the first place with Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren. Her father talked to her and said that Yang didn't mean what she said and was just having a temper tantrum. But still... she was abandoning her sister. And she knew how her sister had abandonment issues because of her (anime) birth mother.
So she arrived here in order to vent.
"Hi mom, it's been a long time since I… you know visited." She looked at the empty grave of her mother and childhood hero, Summer Rose. The lone location was secluded enough for her to have this private conversation.
"A lot of things have changed since the last time I talked to you Mom-"
The start of the Vytal Festival where all cheers and merries galore before everything spiraled out of control. An illusion so real it masked the deception that laid beneath, causing her sister to look like a dishonorable villain. The death of a beloved friend who was ripped apart by another friend. The attack of the White Fang with the Grimm that claimed countless innocents and left her team broken. A shell of her former self, her sister had become, Ruby could not bear to see her like that.
Her partner-in-crime, whisked away back to her homeland with falsities abound of her situation. Blake was somewhere… she didn't know because the faunus left after a battle with Adam Taurus. What's worse was-
Tears streamed down her face at remembering that horrible event, why-
Why did he have to smile like that…
"I don't know what to do, Mom. Uncle Qrow is bringing me and a couple of friends to Mistral to meet someone. Pyrrha… she changed."
The former champion mutated into something she never thought the polite and always friendly woman was like. She became cold, distant, irate, and most definitely distrustful… All of her attention was on Cinder, it was the only way that Uncle Qrow was able to convince the amazonian warrior to join their quest. She didn't want to talk to her and Yang, she burst out with episodes of metal bending in all directions or dangerous light shows. She was leery of Qrow because he symbolized Ozpin who she blamed for Jaune's death along with her newfound powers.
The only ones who could talk to her were Nora and Ren. She would always see her training excessively until the late hours and then she would glue her face to her scroll… watching videos and viewing pictures of Jaune. Sometimes she cried to herself when no one was looking. She remembered when Yang had her own episodes that coincided with Pyrrha's…
Let's just say her home was almost destroyed if it wasn't for Uncle Qrow and her dad. Yang in her hurt, may have mentioned Jaune in a bad light that just caused Pyrrha to lose it.
"I lost someone close, Mom."
Her eyes still water, her heart still hurts. She cannot forget the sight of seeing Jaune with that smile disappear into nothingness. Her first best friend was gone and she couldn't do anything to bring him back or help him when he needed it.
"I think you would have liked him… When I first met him, he was as awkward as I am. He was scraggly and didn't look like he fit in Beacon. But overtime, I saw how much better he got as a huntsman and as a leader. He even liked the same comics I did along with the same games and the same music."
She stopped as memories flooded, all with a lens of grief surrounding it.
I miss you Vomit Boy… Jaune…
"This is my village, Amigasa Village!"
The two had arrived at the outskirts of the village where Tama resided. The first thing that Jaune noticed was how run-down it was. There were only a few people outside of their bamboo homes, their clothes were as tattered as Tama's kimono. Their eyes distrubed him, it reminded him of how refugees in a Grimm attack looked in the outer regions. Hopeless and broken.
They also looked at him if he were a Grimm, fear spread in their faces. Is this how they saw outsiders?
Tama informed them that he was a friend and that he saved her from the Beast Pirates. Jaune thought that would at least allow one foot in the door but instead the door smashed in his face. They looked even more frightened about the event that Jaune had fought against the pirates and was currently in their village. They quickly departed for their homes, probably to maintain their distance from him.
He couldn't really blame them for being like this, even though he rescued one of their inhabitants. Jaune also learned where he was currently during the ride to get here. He was currently in Wano Country, more specifically in the region of Kuri. It used to be the land of the lawless until one Kozuki Oden (The Chad of No L's... seriously I doubt you can find another besides Guts and Gojo) reformed the population and they dedicated their lives to serve him. Everything was happy until the Beast Na- Pirates attacked.
Only the Chad of Oden, master of the Oden Two Sword Style, could save the day. When Wano needed him most, he was deceived, betrayed and executed. Jaune was in disbelief on how Oden rescued the people of Wano and his retainers despite the inhumane punishment he endured before being killed.
Under the Beasts Pirates rule, Kuri had become a wasteland, polluted by the weapons factory that poisoned the fresh water rivers. Jaune found this to be absolutely appalling and depressing for its residents including Tama based on their living conditions. Tama told him about two things that piqued his interest.
The first was that her village was attacked by a pirate under the name of 'X Drake' under the orders of the leader of the Beast Pirates named 'Kaido'. He then learned that the pirate took down the five guardians of Tama's village and punished the citizens by destroying their homes.
When Jaune responded with hateful vitriol over these pirates, Tama became really upset at him. She then told him of the story of Portgas D. Ace and the Spade Pirates who shipwrecked themselves on Kuri two years ago. Ace helped the starving villagers by giving his food supply along with showing them how to make straw hats. The villagers wear these hats in commemoration of the pirates who saved their lives.
This made Jaune reconsider his stance on pirates.
Maybe everything is just a big world after all…
Tama then pulled Jaune along to her home, and told him to sit down and relax since he is her guest. It was also for thanks for protecting her against those Beast Pirates scouts. He focused on the sounds of the tranquil village, it let him close his eyes, his consciousness slipping from the loss of adrenaline.
He had saved Tama, it was something to be proud of. What was disturbing for him was his utter lack of care for either debilitating injuring or downright killing those three pirates.
I hope this doesn't bite me in the ass…
On Kuri Beach, looking upon two dead scouts and one dying in front of his eyes. A tall, lean, and muscular man who wears what appears to be a combination of a white-plumed cocked hat with his crew's Jolly Roger on the side and a mask over his eyes. The man had reddish brown hair with brush-like sideburns. His broad chin and bare chest contained an 'X' as if it was the location of treasure on a map.
The most catching detail about this man was the belt with a large ornately designed circular belt buckle securing his leather pants as well as his sword and ax to his waist. He also wears a black cape, which, from the inside, is crimson-colored, with a white fur lining around the neck.
This is one of the Beast Pirate's fastest rising stars with the rank of Shinuchi, with a bounty of 222 million beli, "Red Flag" X Drake. He wondered why the scouts had not yet reported when they were supposed to. He beat his men over the head that he wanted information delivered to him in a timely manner or else. But now he stands in Kuri Beach, seeing signs of a fight and two dead scouts.
The one dying looked to him and pointed to the forest. "That -ha- Kozuki… brat did this-"
With that, he stopped moving. He didn't need to think this over, anyone who opposed the Beast Pirates were to be dealt with. They maintained an iron fist over the land by keeping its borders closed thanks to no one wanting to mess with a Yonko. Especially when their subordinate is the current Shogun in Orochi. He simply followed the rules while being in the new world, 'Either you kill a Yonko or bow to them.'
He also kept tabs of Kaido's movements and reported it to the navy, that was the secret duty of the Captain of S.W.O.R.D. Thankfully no one had suspected it yet of his other arrangements. He had yet to figure out an exfil out of Wano, and he also had to worry about the new orders he received from headquarters
'There is reported activity in Sabaody Island coinciding with a visit from the Celestial Dragons. Infiltrate and blend in with the other Supernovas.' The Supernovas or the Worst Generation is a term dubbed by the World Economy News Paper. The sensationalist organization referred to twelve rookies who have been making big waves around the Grand Line. The main attraction of this was Monkey D. Luffy, where other Supernovas avoided the paths of the World Nobles, the Straw Hat crew didn't. Last he heard, the Straw Hats had infiltrated one of three big government strongholds in Enies Lobby. All to save the Devil Child.
'They are making it harder and harder for everyone, marine and pirate.'
He sighed, ignore these thoughts for now. He needed to refocus on his current objective figuring out the identity and whereabouts of the killer. Whoever killed these three used a sword based on their wounds. He also guessed that the culprit left… which meant he simply had to go to the nearest village to find his target.
Hmm… Amigasa Village again, huh? I thought their spirits were broken when I killed those five. Looks like those idiots never learned.
AN: Kind of disappointed that no one got the hints for the next worlds Jaune will be placed in to suf- I mean to enjoy a lovely vacation from Remnant.
And with that, comes the end of the chapter. Next chapter will come around February. I hope you all enjoyed and I will see you all next time.
Let me answer some reviews:
Haseo55: Well I've only seen Jaune get isekai'd into western properties because sadly it is more popular and more familiar to use than let's say anime. About the pairings, it's usually just Jaune and another version of RWBY characters placed into the form of the actual character. I'm not a fan of him being kicked out, because it always lends itself to him becoming an emo and hating the world, Sasuke-style.
Gonsmoss: I have planned more for him to do in Remnant than people might think.
ZonZus: I can't accept video games to anime, only anime to video games. Because I run the risk of being too similar to those before who simply use video games as isekai material. Haven't played Tales of Series or God Eater. Senran is alright for me but the goal isn't for him to gain a relationship as a main objective of going into these worlds. Persona 5 would be perfect due to my own experiences of getting to platinum after three tries.
DiamondHD: Thanks I hope I can make it fun.
rwbyfan0071: No, because there is no anime of Honkai Impact, also video game to anime is not allowed.
Benyx: Not doing western video games, that's for "All the Difference in the Worlds". Only anime that have video game titles.
