Chapter four

At first Molly planned to go to Gringotts with Ginny and Harry, until Albus informed her that no one was allowed in the room where the wills were read unless they were named. The ones named could invite one guest and Ginny was Harry's guest. It would mean Molly, along with Ron would have to wait in the waiting room. Right now, it wasn't the safest time, death eaters or even Voldemort could turn up, so Molly decided to remain home. She only relented because Albus was taking Harry and Ginny to Gringotts. With the danger that all of them were in, she would not allow those children out alone.

The moment the will reading was finished, Harry worked on his will, he also made sure a letter was sent to anyone from the Black family. If they went against the head of house, Harry, he would call them oath breakers which could cause them to lose their magic, or their lives. He did annul Narcissa and Lucius's marriage. The moment that was done, the money that was paid by the Blacks to the Malfoy's was returned to the Black vault. He did the same with Bellatrix Lestrange, nee Black and her husband. Not only was a lot of the money returned, but so was many old artefacts along with things made from gold. The Lestrange's were an old family, but they didn't have a lot of money, it all came from the Blacks, now it was returned. He wanted to use the head of the Black family to get rid of Draco and Narcissa. He also knew Bellatrix wouldn't be able to resist trying to go after Harry, so she will also lose her magic or die. Harry hoped they all died.

After Harry finished, he met up with Dumbledore, who instantly asked about the order using the house. Harry told the old man his decision.

'That's my decision and your choice if you want to use the house. I planned to burn it to the ground.'

Albus sighed again, 'Please be reasonable Harry, he is part of the order.'

'No, as I've said, I want him dead and I hope I see him suffer before he dies. He will not step foot into my house,' Harry stood ready to leave, he even took Ginny's hand and walked towards the door before Albus caught up with him.

'Very well. I will speak with Mundungus about the oath and have him return any items he may have already taken.'

'He will have two weeks or I will inform the aurors about that thief.'

Albus sighed again, 'I will need to fill Severus in on what we discuss at Hogwarts.'

'You should make him take an unbreakable vow since he is a death eater. But we're done, can we go now?'

Albus normally would have corrected Harry about his choice of words, but he knew the boy would not listen to him, especially when it came to Severus.

The moment they arrived at the Burrow, Bill, Charlie and Arthur spoke with Albus. They said they will not work with Snape and if they saw him, they would treat him like any death eater. When Albus questioned them, Arthur explained what Ginny and Harry had worked out. Snape put those six teenagers lives at risk, yet Dumbledore kept supporting him. Arthur made sure Albus knew that they would leave the order if Albus pushed for Severus to remain. Albus finally realised he could not only lose the Weasley's, but many others, all because of Severus. There was not one member of the order of the phoenix that liked or trusted Severus Snape. Even Minerva did not trust the man. She may have worked with him for years but she believed he was still supporting Voldemort and his death eaters. Minerva said he shows who he supports all the time by protecting the child of death eaters and punishing children of light family. No matter what Albus said, Minerva would not change her mind on the man.

Albus had allowed Severus some leeway, but it seemed that no one else was going to put up with Severus. So many had told Albus that Severus was dark and using Albus, he didn't want to believe he had been wrong about the man. He had been positive that Severus really was on their side. Since Voldemort killed Lily, Severus would never support the dark lord. A thought came to Albus, Severus had asked him, Albus to protect Lily. She died so maybe Severus did not trust Albus. Harry could be right, maybe Severus was playing spy for both sides so he would see who won all because Voldemort killed Lily and Albus failed to protect her. He didn't support either Voldemort or Albus, he just acted like he was their spy to stay safe. Being at Hogwarts gave Severus some protection. It was also Albus that kept Severus out of Azkaban. Maybe that's what the truth was, Severus would act his part so he wouldn't end up in Azkaban.

It was late that afternoon that Harry had Bill take him to Grimmauld place so he could change the fidelius charm. Harry knew he would have snuck away without anyone finding out but he hoped to keep the fact he could apparate and he was an animagus from everyone, at least for now.

Harry made himself the secret keeper, which meant even if Albus tried to allow Snape to get in, it wouldn't work. Harry could do that even with the old fidelius charm still up, but only because he was the owner of the house. Harry wrote notes to those in the order that he knew were fighting against Voldemort. But Bill had shown him how to place a charm on the note so when the recipient read the note, the parchment would disintegrate. Now no one could show others which could give them permission into the house. Harry liked that charm, now he knew Dumbledore could not show Snape the note. That house was now the safest it's ever been.

Harry never told Dumbledore he planned to change the charm. First, he wanted to make sure Sirius did leave him the house, then he decided he would do the charm in case the old man tried to stop Harry from removing the fidelius charm or going there himself. He had put up with the Dursley's for the last time. He would be staying in Sirius' room during the holidays from now on. But the other reason was to stop Severus Snape from being able to enter. If he had time, he might have found out about some of the wards Sirius' family used. It was rumoured that the Blacks had wards that could torture and others that could kill. If Snape died by entering the house, then Harry couldn't get into trouble. He would check those wards out once he returned to the house. He would truly like to find a way to deal with Snape, for good, but in a way that he couldn't be blamed or get into trouble. For now, he was with his girlfriend at the Burrow and he was going to enjoy his time with her.

It was a few days later that Molly, Bill and Charlie saw Harry levitating an unconscious Ron into the kitchen, with Ginny following.

'What happened?' Molly asked anxiously.

'He went to curse Harry, in the back, so I stunned him.'

'Do you know why?' Bill asked.

'I was talking to Harry about our future and about sex. Ron instantly yelled that Harry was trying to talk me into it. He aimed his wand at Harry's back just as he turned.'

'As I've said to all of you, our relationship will go as fast as Ginny wants. It will not be my decision. The only thing I said was not until she was an adult.'

'Leave him with us,' Molly said and waited until her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend left. She knew Ron had a temper and at times he went off before hearing everything. He just reacted and he was usually wrong. This was just another time he jumped in before he knew what was going on.

Bill had bound Ron to a chair before his mother woke him. Before anyone could ask him what he thought he was doing, Hermione walked into the room.

'What's going on?' Hermione dropped her bag and hurried to Ron.

'Later Hermione. We need to have a talk with this thick head brother of ours,' Bill said.

'You have Percy's room Hermione. Take your bag up and give us half an hour,' Molly said.

Hermione really didn't want to leave her boyfriend bound but she knew she had no choice, plus it was his family. She couldn't go against them. She walked up the stairs then decided to just stand where they couldn't see her. Within seconds, she yelped as some spell hit her in the head. She realised they knew she was listening so she hurried up to the room she would be staying in. She left the door open in the hope she would hear something, especially from Ron who liked to yell when he was angry.

It was nearly an hour before Ron stomped up the stairs. Hermione raced straight into his room.

'What happened?'

'I can't tell you, they made me take a wizards oath. If I didn't, I'd have to live with Muriel.'

'So you can't explain about this at all?'

'No, Bill is good at making sure the wording is what they wanted.'

'If I ask the right questions, could you say yes or no?'

'No, he made sure. Let's just forget it. We've got two weeks before we return to Hogwarts. Maybe if I can get a scout interested, I can leave here and it'll be their own fault if I don't see them again.'

'Is Harry here, with Ginny?' Hermione instantly knew by Ron's angry growl that he was but the oath had something to do with either Harry or Ginny, or even both of them. She knew she had basically lost Harry as a friend but she wasn't going to let Professor Dumbledore down. He wanted Hermione and Ron to keep him informed on anything Harry did or spoke about. So far, they had not be able to find out anything.

Harry used muffliato whenever he was talking privately with Ginny. Hermione had tried to break that spell, so far she hadn't had any luck. She was hoping once she was back at Hogwarts she could borrow, without asking, Harry's map. If she could find Harry and Ginny alone, she might be able to hear what they were talking about. For now, she was going to concentrate on Ron. She also knew she would not be able to get any information out of him about while his mother and brother had him take the oath. It was right then that Hermione realised that Ron wouldn't be able to tell her or Professor Dumbledore anything about Harry and Ginny. The oath was bound to stop him. She would be with Ron so hopefully if he hears anything, she will also hear it and be able to pass it on to Professor Dumbledore.

Dinner at the Burrow seemed normal to Hermione, except that Ron's mother kept glaring at Ron and only allowed him to eat one serve of dinner, along with desert. Hermione noticed that Harry was able to get two servings, which just seemed to make Ron angrier. Right after dinner, Ron stomped back up to his room. Hermione stayed hoping she would hear what happened before she arrived. So far, no one was talking about Ron. Harry and Ginny mainly spoke to Ginny's father about what they did that day. Flying and swimming, apart from a lot of snogging. Hermione finally gave up and after taking her dish to the sink, she went back up to her boyfriend. She wanted him to know she was there for him, she always would be.
