Chapter seven

Harry and Ginny were sitting together in the common room speaking with Katie and a few others who were wondering when Harry was going to call tryouts. McGonagall only offered Harry the captains job because no one else had played long enough to take the position when Katie turned down the spot as captain. Since he quit the team in third year, Gryffindor kept losing. McGonagall was desperate for a win so Harry became captain. Harry and Ginny knew that Ron was hoping to make the team. They were hoping he wouldn't.

The portrait opened and their head of house stepped in making everyone fall silent.

'Mr Potter, the headmaster needs to speak with you straight away.'

Harry looked at Ginny who grinned, 'Yep, we were right,' Harry kissed his girlfriend then left Gryffindor tower, 'So, were you at the emergency meeting Bill called tonight?'

'I was, even if I am unsure what Mr Weasley was talking about. By the sounds of it, you know, along with Miss Weasley.'

'Yeah, we do, we spoke with Bill yesterday.'

'And how did you speak with Mr Weasley?'

'He met us in the shrieking shack. It was a life and death situation so we did not have time to work on permission. Thankfully Ginny was right and Bill knows how to deal with this dangerous problem. It is the same password Professor?'

'Yes, he is waiting for you,' Minerva knew there was no use giving Harry detention. He had already informed the headmaster he will not attend any detention he felt was not warranted.

Harry stepped into the office to see the old man standing near Fawkes, 'So.'

Albus sighed as he turned, 'I should have spoken with Bill about these items. I will say Harry, that I am please with the outcome.'

'I wouldn't have sacrificed myself Dumbledore. Ginny and I already decided if Voldy took over, then we'd leave the country. The people here in the wizarding world do not deserve my life, not after the way I was treated. You do not deserve it, due to all your mistakes. Like right now, death eaters inside this school and you haven't done anything about it. It is time you went on to your next great adventure, then maybe innocent kids will not be placed in danger all the time.'

'If I did anything then they would know Severus is my spy.'

'You really are a fool. He is playing you until he see's which side wins. If he really was your spy and on your side, he would not treat people like Ginny and the Weasley's like all death eaters treat them. I'm talking about in private, he's just as much of a bastard to them in private as he is in public. He hasn't changed, his just using you to stay out of Azkaban. But now, we done. I won't be coming to any more meetings. You finally pushed me over that last line, so as far as I am concerned, you can die now and I'll be happy,' Harry glared, ignored all the portraits who were shooting and just left the office.

Albus watched Harry go, he didn't say anything to the boy, or the portrait's. He realised at that time, he had made many mistakes, especially in regards to Harry. But to hear Harry say he would not have died, he would have left the country really made Albus understand just what type of person Harry was. Harry was harder and colder than he should be and it was due to his life at Hogwarts and his life with the Dursley's, which was his mistake by placing Harry there in the first place.

What worried Albus, was Severus. Was Harry right about the man? He knew Severus was hard on all students, not in Slytherin. Severus also treated the Weasley children with disdain when they had been at headquarters. Severus did treat the Weasley's, not just the children but all the Weasley's like most death eaters would treat them. Albus did not want to believe he had been fooled by anyone, let alone Severus, but the facts were showing him that is exactly what happened. He had been fooled by Severus Snape and he was sure it was because he never protected lily when Severus asked. Albus was pleased he never told Severus anything about the horcruxes, or that Harry had one behind his scar. Severus would have made sure Harry was delivered to Voldemort, who would keep Harry unconscious and hidden. As long as Harry lived, Voldemort would live. It was time to slip Severus Snape some information, bad information, to see if he tells Voldemort.

It took Ginny a while to calm Harry down. Hermione and Ron had tried to get closer to them, but one look at Harry they realised they could end up seriously injured. Harry looked pissed off, which made his power leak. As they were walking towards the doors to head outside, Snape walked towards them. Harry snarled, his magic released in waves making Snape stumble and fall. Harry smirked then walked past him, but made sure to bump him as he past.

'Sorry Gin, that man just infuriates me. But I can tell I shocked him when I said I would leave the country. I would never give up my life for him or most people in this world.'

'Good, he will finally realised how wrong he was. He didn't really know you at all Harry, not if he came to this conclusion.'

'No, he didn't. When you get raised in an abusive household you learn to be sneaky, you learn to become harder and you know not to trust anyone. You also learn to do everything possible to survive.'

'And you did and continue to survive. Bill will do what he's trained for and everything will be over.'

'That's what makes me so angry. He had a curse breaker in the order yet he doesn't speak with Bill about this stuff. You were the one to mentioned Bill and now thanks to you, this will be over before more innocent people die. I just hope he hurries up and dies so we don't have to put up with him anymore.'

'Are you talking about the old man or the snake?'

Harry grinned, 'Both, but I was talking about the idiot up in that office. He really is thick.'

Ginny grabbed Harry's head and snogged him. Even though she loved kissing Harry, when he was in a rant over Dumbledore, only kissing him made him stop.

It was only a few days later that Harry and Ginny got a message from Bill. He had everything set up, Harry had to turn up alone. He would be in the shrieking shake at seven, waiting. Bill had also explained to Dumbledore that he was doing the ritual just so he would know why Harry would not be in classes the following day.

Ginny held Harry tight to her after giving him a marathon snog, 'I'll be fine, Bill guaranteed I would.'

'I know, it's just he said it would be painful.'

'I would gladly accept the pain to get rid of that and him. I have to go,' Harry kissed Ginny once more before he slipped his invisibility cloak over himself and made his way towards the shrieking shack.

Neville joined Ginny in Harry's room, 'You said he will be fine and your brother said he would be okay.'

'I know, it's just knowing he's going to suffer during. I hate knowing that and there's nothing I can do to help.'

'You help after. You can go to your room later, then fly back in here so you can stay with Harry.'

Ginny beamed then hugged Neville, 'That's a brilliant idea Neville. I never would have thought of that.'

'I'm sure you would have if you weren't so worried about Harry. Now let's try to do some homework. It's going to be another hour before Harry returns. Even if you can't actually do your homework, read your book.'

'I'll try, but I'm glad you're here Neville. I'd be going crazy if I was here alone.'

During this time when Ginny and Neville were working and Bill was pulling the soul piece out of Harry, Arthur and Molly were organising Grimmauld place for their children and Harry to continue to learn. They did not want their children at Hogwarts when there were marked death eaters inside. They planned to tell Albus the following day and not just about his kids leaving the school. They were leaving the order of the phoenix and were going to try to talk others into leaving as well. They hoped if they explained about how Albus knew there were death eaters at Hogwarts yet he refused to do anything about them, the others might leave as well.

It was nearly two hours before Bill helped Harry back to his room. He didn't let go of Harry until he got him to his bed. Bill gave him a pain potion then a dreamless sleep potion.

'He's fine Ginny, it just took longer. It put up a bit of a fight. Harry's strong though and even though I know how much pain he was in, he never once made a noise. Just make sure he takes tomorrow to rest.'

'I will, thanks Bill. When will you do the others?'

'I'm going to do them straight away. Charlie and dad are meeting me there soon.'

'He's scar is smaller,' Neville said gesturing towards Harry's head.

'Yes, it will continue to fade until it's gone. I'll leave you to look after him.'

'Thanks again Bill,' Ginny gave her big brother a hug then went back to sit on the bed beside Harry. Neville knew there was nothing he could say to Ginny, so he just decided to sit with his friends and read, until it was time to head to bed.

Ginny did do what Neville suggested. When he left, she made it seem like she was going to bed, then when the other girls in her dorm room were asleep, she flew out the window and straight into Harry's room. She was just glad that his room had a window that connected to the same wall or she could have been seen by others. After using the bathroom and changing, she climbed into bed beside Harry. She set her wand to the alarm charm and placed it under her pillow. She had to get back to her dorm room before the girls woke up, or she could end up in big trouble. She knew she would take the trouble if she had to. She wasn't going to leave Harry alone, not after he had gone through that ritual. Harry had told her about the visions and nightmares. She hoped now that thing was gone his sleep would be restful.

Ginny felt her wand vibrate which made her jump. She turned to grab her wand only to see Harry sitting up, smiling at her.

'You could get caught gin.'

'Nope, Neville gave me a great idea. I flew out of the dorm window and flew here. I set my wand to wake me so I'll get back before the girls wake.'

'Then you better kiss me and go.'

'How do you feel?'

'Great, it's like that thing was weighing me down, now it's gone, I feel…I don't know. I can't describe it. But it's great.'

Ginny snogged Harry for a good few minutes and even smirked when she realised she turned Harry on. He kept trying to cover his very obvious hard on, which made her laugh. She quickly changed then kissed Harry again before flying out the window.

'What that girl does to me,' Harry growled but smiled at the same time, 'I think I need a cold shower.'

Ginny got back to her room and made it look like she was getting ready as the girls in her dorm room woke. She couldn't stop smiling. First, Harry was now healthy. Second, she turned him on and third, Voldemort would be gone very soon, if not already. Then she remembered that Bill was going to finish after he left Harry with her. So she realised it was all over, or at least Voldemort was gone and this time, it was for good. She just hoped Scrimgeour or others at the ministry put the death eaters in Azkaban this time and not buy their bullshit story about being under the imperius curse.
