Chapter five
'Do you think the order is using Grimmauld place?'
'Some would be, I just hope they got rid of Kreacher. He already lied which caused me to run off to the ministry and got Sirius killed. He can't be trusted.'
'I'm sure Mad-eye would have dealt with him, if he could. He just wouldn't mention it in case people like Hermione went off.'
'Yeah, since he said during one of the meetings that Sirius should just kill the little bastard. I would since he now belongs to me, but I can't take the chance of going there.'
'No, but I doubt many of their important talks would be at that house, not after Sirius. I would say they are using the Burrow. Bill would have done a lot of enchantments around the place to keep it safe. He might eventually put the place under the fidelius charm, he hasn't yet since we can still say the name and know where it is. The twins have probably placed some of their stuff like the portable swamps around the Burrow as well. We get the Daily Prophet when we can. So far none of their names are in the lists of people that died.'
'I know you're worried about your family Ginny, so am I. But it's safer for them if I'm not there. And we both know we couldn't concentrate on anything if we were separated. You're sixteen now, I'm seventeen now, we're legally allowed to live alone. And it's harder to find two people than a group.'
'I know, but I also know they would be doing all they can to stay safe. I wonder if Hermione is there?'
'She planned to go to the wedding. The ministry fell that day so we're not even sure the wedding went ahead. But with this muggleborn registration act and the camps, it would be better if Hermione left the country with her parent's. I sometimes hate not knowing what is going on with all of them.'
'I'm sure their okay. I know you still care about Ron and Hermione even if you can't trust them.'
'I do, I just know what it would have been like if it was the three of us. You know Ron would have stopped you coming with us. If he couldn't, he wouldn't have left us alone. We'd have no privacy. Ron knows how I feel about you but he didn't trust me with you.'
'Like all my brothers, they just don't see that I'm growing up. We might not have gone all the way yet, but we wouldn't have even been able to snog if Ron was with us. But I wouldn't trust him anyway. He would find a way to get me back to the Burrow.'
'Yeah, he probably would. Okay, let me just clean all this up then you can tell me what you were thinking about before. So go work on that, I'll be with you in a minute.'
Ginny kissed Harry then went back to reading the book. Her idea just might work, she just wasn't sure since it wasn't actually written. To Ginny, her idea just made sense, especially after reading the few things Dumbledore had written in the back of the book.
Harry finished cleaning up then joined his girlfriend who had all the books that mentioned horcruxes opened on the coffee table.
'So what were you reading before?'
'It mentions how it's dangerous to make more than one, but not impossible. There is a part here that says they are connected to each other and the original soul, meaning him. You proved that when you saw the snake attack dad. I thought maybe destroying one might destroy the others but you already destroyed one, the diary. So that won't work.'
'Maybe, the diary wasn't just a horcrux Ginny, it was also to be used so Tom could possess someone so they would open the chamber of secrets. It was also there to drain the life out of the person writing in it so he could return. When I saw him, he was almost solid and you were almost dead. I doubt it would have been any longer than an hour or two before you died and he was back.'
'Okay, so maybe destroying one will destroy the rest. But I found something else,' Ginny pointed to the back of one book that had been written in.
'That's Dumbledore's writing,' Harry pulled the book towards him, 'He told me love would be needed, I just don't get how. I doubt hugging Voldemort will kill him. You know I never loved anyone until we got together, but that was after Dumbledore told me it would be love. I still don't get that though or if he was using riddles again. I know it hurt Tom when I thought of you and Sirius when we were at the ministry.'
'Just keep reading, Harry.'
Harry nodded then went back to reading what Dumbledore had written, 'He believes two pure souls joining in the oldest of sacred acts would destroy him. He wrote that this would only work with me as I'm connected to him,' Harry's brow furrowed, 'I don't get what this means Ginny. Pure, does that mean someone that has never committed any type of crime? What is the oldest of sacred acts?'
'I think pure means our hearts, souls and bodies. I think it means a virgin, or virgins.'
Harry kept staring at the words, 'Okay, virgins, I still…' Harry stopped, his eyes widened as he looked at his girlfriend, 'Are you saying that having sex could destroy him?'
'Not just sex, but two people, us who are deeply in love and you are connected to him. We will be making love, not just having sex. When love comes into it, the feelings between us will strengthen. It's not just making love either Harry, I think it means that we are to committed fully to each other.'
'We'd be making love, how much more committed could we get?'
Ginny took Harry's hand, 'Marriage Harry. The joining of two innocent people in a binding ceremony like marriage then those two people joining their bodies who are pure, virgins, is considered to be the strongest bond any two people can achieve. You were raised in the muggle world, but this is considering magically binding in the wizarding world. I know we said we would marry and probably after the war. We also spoke about having sex once I'm an adult. If we change this to now, it just might mean Riddle ends up destroyed along with his horcruxes. We won't know if it will work until we do, but really, there's nothing to lose if it doesn't work. We have one, we put it somewhere where we can see it while we…make love to see if it does work.'
'I always said I would never rush you or push you. I even mentioned waiting until we were married. But you're saying we just change the timetable of these plans. Are you sure you want to do this before we originally planned?'
'We both admitted that it's getting harder to resist having sex. The only difference with this is we get married now instead of waiting. It also means we do this without our family or friends with us. I don't mind that Harry, we can have a party with everyone once his dead. We want to marry and the only difference is it's going to be now and not after. Even though I'm not seventeen yet, I can get married at sixteen. Or we can wait another seven months until I'm seventeen. I think waiting that long is just too dangerous though. More will die, but something could happen to either of us as well. I don't think it's worth waiting, not when it's something we planned to do. I'm sure this will work Harry, you're connected to him and you feel his emotions. He has felt yours as well. Just thinking of Sirius and me cause him a lot of pain. Imagine what he will feel when we experience sex, but sex from two people who love each other and are both pure and are committing to each other after they marry.'
Harry sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. Even though he did want to make love to Ginny, they both agreed to wait. Now Ginny was presenting him with the perfect opportunity and he wasn't sure if he should take it or not. He understood what she was saying. If they waited, more will die, maybe even some of the Weasley's, or some of their friends. There was always a chance that they could die. Will doing it now really make a difference? Harry didn't think so, but he always wanted Ginny to have her dream wedding. Now she was offering to get married and have no one with them, no family or friends.
'Okay, say we do this and if this works then he's dead which could save lives. If we wait it could mean more people die. Even though I hate thinking this, it could mean some of your family die, or Remus, Tonks, any of them. Neither of us want anyone to die yet we know people are dying. It would be hard on both of us if we heard some died just because we decided to wait until your seventeen. It is legal for you to marry now, we only decided to wait so we could have a wedding with your family and our friends with us. And as you said, if we do this and it doesn't work, we haven't really wasted our time. We will just know we have to find another way to get rid of them and him.'
'So does that mean we're going to do it? I know it doesn't say this will work, but it does make sense. Dumbledore said love is what will destroy Riddle and you did hurt him when you thought of how you felt about me and Sirius. Maybe he was hinting at the love you felt for us, along with this other message. Two virgins committing to themselves through married, then those two virgins joining by consummating their marriage when they make love.'
'I never know what he meant most of the time. I got sick of his half answers or riddles. You've been studying these books the most and I admit, it does make sense and it's connected to the love the old man talked about,' Harry stared down at the words again before he looked up at his girlfriend, he smiled, 'Let's get married Ginny.'
Ginny squealed as she threw herself at Harry until she was lying on top of Harry, snogging passionately.
After a long snogging session both grinned, 'We will need to know if it works, how?' Harry asked as he stared into Ginny's beautiful brown eyes.
'Dobby, we have Dobby watching them. Since you've bonded with him, he said he's more powerful than ever. Now he's got his full magical ability back, he can do what many owned house elves do and become invisible.'
'I will have to order him to leave if he is discovered or he could be in danger. It's his old master and they badly mistreated him.'
'Then we don't use him, we just have the diadem with us so we can see if it ends up destroyed or the soul leaves. I'm not sure what will happen.'
'I'll talk to Dobby first, then let him make the decision. Doing this could destroy the horcruxes Ginny, but it might not kill him. We will need to know for sure.'
'Okay, then talk it over with Dobby, but we explain about our marriage and how we believe this is what Dumbledore meant about love being the power.'
'Okay, I'll talk to Dobby, you need to work on our wedding plans,' Harry grinned up at Ginny who instantly attacked him with her lips again. He really did want Ginny to have the dream wedding, but right now he wished they were naked and in bed. It was getting harder to resist and he was finding it harder to control his urges. It was time they got married, made love and hopefully, it will destroy Voldemort at the same time.
After a few more minutes of kissing, Harry called Dobby and explained what they found and what they planned to do. Dobby wanted to watch them get married and since it will be done in the muggle world, Dobby would remain invisible. Dobby also said he would keep watch on snakeface and his old mean masters. Harry did order him to leave if they found him or there was danger. He was not to do anything that could get him hurt, or killed. Once Dobby promised, he sat beside Harry and Ginny while they worked on getting married.
Harry wanted Ginny to have a wedding ring and an engagement ring, but he really couldn't spend what money they had when this might not work and they might be in hiding for months if not years. While he listened to Ginny talking about what to wear, Harry remembered something. He would speak with Dobby after they made some more plans.
Once Ginny was asleep, Harry went into the bathroom and quietly called Dobby. He handed Dobby his key and told him what he needed. The little excitable elf instantly popped away. Harry stayed in the bathroom waiting for Dobby. If Ginny woke, she would just believe Harry was using the toilet.
It was only minutes later that Dobby arrived holding the key and three small boxes. He thanked the elf then told him to get some sleep. Harry put the boxes in his bag then slipped back into bed beside the girl he was about to marry. He fell asleep with dreams of Ginny as his wife and the mother of his children.
