During the confrontation on Noveria, Matriarch Benezia is prevented from killing Liara by a timely Charge from Aethyta. As it turns out, Aethyta had never stopped keeping an eye on Liara and Benezia after the latter walked out. Benezia's insane actions have concerned and infuriated Aethyta enough to forcefully intervene with Benezia's seemingly random spiral into insanity.

I died and now I've been shoved into a different body in a different time in a different reality. Awesome. It was just what I needed to spice up my day. I can't wait to save the galaxy and be a hero and 'get the girl'. Pfft. Right. That's going to happen. Thanks to my new body I'll be lucky to get out of wherever they take me let alone join a top secret mission. But you never know.

The pairing is male Shepard and Jack but there is not so much of that as there is of... well, I will not spoil anything. :)

Saren Arterius will protect the galaxy, even if he must defy the Council. They've appointed a human to stop him. Shepard is determined, he'll give her that, but she won't accept the truth. Saren knows the Reapers are coming and how fighting them ends. If that trio of fools and their human Spectre want to doom the whole galaxy to extinction, they'll have to do it over his dead body.

Sorta spoiler to ME3's ending. It's pretty sad, with a bit of ShepxJack.
