On a hunting trip Merlin was forced to go on, Arthur was attacked by a sorcerer. Willing to save his prince Merlin took the blunt of the spell for him which turned him into a 5-year-old. Merlin now a five year old has to be taken care by Arthur while Giaus finds a cure to change him back. Most of all what happens Arthur realizes his feelings for the dorky manservant?

An alternate version of the final episode of Merlin Season 5, picking up at the point in the episode where Emrys has come to the rescue of Camelot's army and Arthur is about to face Mordred.

Merlin used a more powerful poison on Morgana than he thought, forcing Morgause to make the ultimate sacrifice for her sister. But as her ally breathed her last, Morgana swore to care for the witch's secret son, who is more familiar than she knows. But fate does not like to be altered. Now as Morgana reunites with Merlin, Arthur and Gwen, they face a battle unlike any before.

Gwen has left Arthur and six months afterwards, Merlin comes to the King and the two discuss their relationship. Arthur has made some conclusions after the failure of his marriage, but how will Merlin react? Will it be happily ever after?
