Canon time period AU - Merlin and Arthur became open with each other about their feelings, but Merlin was banished from Camelot after he and Arthur were caught together. Arthur left with Merlin, much to Merlin's surprise. The two of them are attempting to find a life together outside of Camelot, struggles included. But will something eventually draw them back? Probably destiny.

When Arthur overhears Gwaine talking about his sexual experiences it gets him thinking. Soon he's having a great time experimenting with Gwen and learning that his wife is an adventurous woman. One night they even involve Merlin in their bedroom antics... Arthur/Gwen-with a healthy dose of Merlin.

With Morgana's betrayal, Uther is left broken and unfit to rule. However, a visiting knight comes to comfort the grieving king, much to Camelot's relief. After all, what's the harm in letting a stranger make himself comfortable? Set pre-season 4, before Agravine

Uther decides he wants Merlin for himself. Merlin and Arthur don't agree with that. But, saying no to the King would have serious consequences...

"You, Arthur—" Gwaine made a wide gesture. "—You're in love. S'all right to admit it, Merlin."
