The morning sun saw the return of the duo, just as they arrived to see Lucy and Natsu off for a... book job.
Alex suspected that it was the Everlue Quest, so he let them go to turn his vision to the glasses-wearing pretty boy, Loke, his glare boring down on the playboy before Cana spoke. "Geez, I get that you are new, but Loke is really just a playboy, there is nothing wrong with being a bit of a flirt."
"There is flirting and then there's running from his mistakes." Alex breathed as he took a sip of his juice in speaking. "Sure, it could be just me disliking the guy, but under that all playing, I can feel regret, grief, some form of pain that he is keeping to himself and away from everyone else." Cana stared at him as he spoke. "The closest I can connect him to, if I am feeling his energy right, is... well, it feels like Lucy's magic, what was it...?" He snapped in trying to figure it out with Cana blinking that something was going on before Alex nearly exclaimed. "That's right, it's-" A snap and he disappeared, Cana's eyes widening as alcohol poured out of her mouth with everyone else's mouth wide open before Freefall screeched in panic and the guild joined as Alex disappeared without a trace somehow.
"-Celestial..." Alex paused and his instincts flared alive as he quickdraw a Model 500, wordlessly enchanting it with Dragon Slayer power, and fired, punching a hole right through the beast that was coming right for him as he shouted. "It's called enchantments, reptile!" He blinked in trying to figure it out.
Okay... mountain-like range... the now cooling corpse of a massive black-and-blue dragon crashing with a trench of a hole right through the chest cavity... there was a man missing his arm with orange-hair and wide eyes and the ground completely devastated...
Sweat poured down his body as Alex quickly planted two fingers to his temple as he exclaimed. "I apologize!" He tapping it before he teleported again, the man blinking before he spoke, still holding his limp of an arm.
"Who the hell was that...?" Gildarts blinked as, for a second there, there was a familiar mark on his collar, the same that was laden on his chest which could use some patching up...
Alex reappeared and blinked, to the stunned shock of everyone in the room before he felt another terrifying pressure and ducked, evading the fist that came for his head and pulled out one of his Winchesters, infusing it with devil-slaying and fired, another falling in death as Alex blinked in recognizing the scene a bit more before he deadpanned. "Again!? Where the freak am I now!?" He growled as he spoke. "Whatever is going on, I am not having it, join Sabertooth or some crazy place, I am not here to play with morons who only believe that power is everything!" He tapped and vanished again.
Minerva Orland blinked as the once-powerful Jiemma Orland, her father and a demon, was just shot and killed with a spray before she spoke. "Okay... I think I will look into Sabertooth and try to make it better... that sounds like a good plan." Minerva numbly walked as she felt the change in magic, like a reaction to fighting a demon for some reason and killed her father, the man was stubborn and only focused on being the strongest...
The strongest clearly didn't save him from getting shot, that was for sure, maybe she could build it up and make it a lot better, she at least understood mercy and compassion, not just brute and overwhelming force... she hoped...
Alex reappeared again with a blink, in a tower chamber where a girl with cat ears, a tanned young man, a larger man with an eyepatch, and a squared-headed gangster were standing in surprise, along with the cloaked man who was clearly surprised by the sudden appearance before Alex spoke. "Really...?" The four shifted to fight before they blinked as the guy suddenly warped in front of the cloaked man and delivered a backhand to the seated guy's face, the aura of something completely flying out and screeching to its destruction as Alex spoke.
"If you are done playing overlord, tear this mockery down and talk to people, seriously, building a Lacrima tower to absorb Etherion to revive Zeref, how stupid are you guys?" He tapped again and vanished as the one-eyed man spoke with a raised brow.
"Are you alright, Jellal?"
"Oh Fiore..." Jellal answered with turning back to the four of them with wide eyes in surprise. "What was I doing and..." His heart pounded and his eyes watered as he spoke a name. "...Erza..." He broke down as the four rushed over to help, his mind reeling at the fact that...
He was doing what those cultists were up to, he was building some great system to revive their dark master...
Alex appeared again and breathed, the guild freezing as Alex raised a hand. "Hey, guys, I'm back!" He got swarmed as Cana exclaimed.
"Don't you dare just disappear like that again!"
"You had us worried sick!"
"Where have you been!?"
"Is everything okay!? No missing parts in teleporting!?"
"Not that I know of..." Alex blinked before they started to settle down, still gathering around him before he spoke. "Let me sort through my head to see what just happened." He blinked in looking up to piecing out what had just happened, on accident of his misshaping teleports.
He was about to say Celestial Magic about Loke's energy when he drew a Magnum and popped a hole through that Dragon, the only dragon matching it would have been Acnologia, but that is impossible... right!?
He tried to warp back to Fairy Tail before ending up in a forest or somewhere wooded before he dodged a punch and fired a devil-slayer round through some brute of a man, his mind piecing out that it was Jiemma, formerly human, but had a severe case of demon in his veins, so that was a surprise to say the least.
He tried again to end up in the Tower of Heaven, where he must have come across a meeting between Jellal Fernandes and Simon, Millianna, Sho, and Wally and backhanded the corruption out of his body, the energy of the R-System having been perverse by the suffering of so many that it formed with Ultear's own trauma.
Sweat poured down his body before he turned to Freefall, the drake's eyes widening as well before he spoke. "Master... may I find someplace to reside for a long while...?" Makarov was about to say otherwise before he noticed the sheer panic in Alex's body and answered in accepting.
"You better go do so, Porlyusica will not be happy if you try to sleep out there again."
"Will do!" Alex squeaked as he mechanically walked with Freefall keeping close before Cana spoke in trying to get to the bottom of things.
"What the hell, Master, we needed to know where-!"
"Cana... he is currently reeling as well, forcing him will just break him even more, let him take a moment to focus his thoughts before he tries to talk to us." Makarov answered as he watched the mechanical movement of Alex as he spoke. "Something tells me that he doesn't believe himself in what he had done. He will tell us when he is fully ready." The guild accepted his tone, still wondering what happened within the brief time when Natsu, Lucy, and Happy headed out and Gray going to meet up with them to inform them of Erza's impeding return...
Alex didn't demand for anything, but the landlord quickly just gave him the whole structure to the growl of the drake, leaving the contracts and keys to him before booking it away from the empty building before Alex took a step in the office before recoiling as he exclaimed. "This smells like a real pigsty?!" He growled in working to clean up and removing the most disgusting things before Freefall spoke.
"Are you well enough to talk to me, Alex?" Alex glanced to the drake before refocusing on the clean up as the drake huffed. "You were only gone for a few minutes, Alex, you haven't changed too much in that short of a time, Erza is returning soon."
"You have no idea of how much I have changed within the span of seconds, maybe minutes, hours!?" He dropped with gripping his head as he whined. "I've changed history! I have destroyed the very life of Fairy Tail right before me?!" A tail smacked him and he blinked before he spoke. "Ah, Freefall, how long was I...?"
"You were gone for a few minutes, three minutes to be more exact, so what happened?" Freefall asked in pulled out the blanket from the saddle bags and laying on it. "Where did you go?"
"...I don't rightly know on the first two, but I ended up in the Tower of Heaven for the third stop." Alex breathed as the air was much clean than before and he relaxed in the seat and rubbed his temples. "I... may have dropped in on Gildarts and Acnologia duking it out and killed the dragon with a enhanced, dragon-slaying round." Freefall nodded his head as Alex continued. "I tried again to end up in a forest and retaliated against Jiemma with a devil-slaying buckshot." Another nod as Alex finished. "And I ended up backhanding the corruption out of Jellal when I ended up in the Tower of Heaven somehow, it having some trace of Ultear's pain in it and that is what made it form...?"
"Good, good, good to know, now for the panic..." Freefall went silent, Alex blinked to the silent drake before he spoke. "You have changed history completely as there will not be an Acnologia blasting Tenrou Island, nor marauding across the world, you slapped Jellal hard and completely turned the Tower of Heaven upside down, and you killed Jiemma before he completely broke Minerva into his sheep of power... that changes a lot of things..." Freefall blinked before he spoke. "Irene... may take notice of that, Sabertooth would be taken by Minerva, but is a bit more healthy and skilled than under Jiemma's command, and the Tower will be more of a trial run than a gauntlet..."
"The Gods...?"
"One of many blessings that I got from you, actually, the slight gift of foresight." Freefall beamed as Alex groaned before the drake bobbed his head. "It's fine for now, Alex, any large ripples and we will handle it, just let it go for now and know that you have changed a few things for the better by pure accident."
"It certainly doesn't feel like I did anything small, I mean, the Black freaking Dragon, crowned as King for his massacre. Also, the Tower of Heaven was meant to reassure Erza that she can count on her friends and Minerva was supposed to be a sadistic succubus who only believes everything like her father, now I have caused a right mess, Freefall." The drake rested a lesser talon on Alex's shoulder as he spoke.
"If things get out of hand, we can' fix it, so please, calm down..." Alex took some deep breaths and started to fully calm down as Freefall nodded. "In... Out... In... Out... Much better, keep your center solid and take it all in before collecting your thoughts into solid form..." Alex continued before he fully recovered and raised a brow to Freefall as he inquired.
"I thought you were completely an adrenaline junkie?"
"Even I surprise myself with how much of the good stuff that they serve, booze?" Alex slammed Freefall's head into the flooring as he exclaimed.
"No wonder you are making sense, you are a freaking secret drunk!" Alex huffed as he puffed. "I thought alcohol couldn't make things weird, but now suspecting Cana, she got you with the stuff!"
"It's good stuff, it doesn't affect me that badly!" Alex groaned as he slumped back in the seat.
"Wonderful and you are also a happy drunk from the sound of it, just great..." Alex breathed as it would make sense that Cana managed to get his partner drunk to calm him down, but the fact is that he wanted to make sure that neither of them did that to just escape their problems. Still, that made... "Did you just say that Erza's returning?" The drake nodded and Alex buried his face with his hands. "Ohhh... nooooo..." That meant that Eisenwald was going to make their move on the Guildmasters with the Lullaby demon flute, Erza coming back meant that she was going to recruit Natsu Dragneel and Gray Fullbuster into helping her stop the Dark Guild and lay a lot of things to waste.
It also gave rise to Team Natsu, the strongest team in Fairy Tail, so that was nothing special, but in reverting Jellal, Galuna will be a lot different... or not, it depends on if Ultear is still playing with Siegrain's game or if she will realize that Jellal was back and in full control of his mind and soul. Only time will tell as he ran a hand down his face before he breathed with speaking. "In any case, let's get this place cleaned up and ready if any want to drop on by to check it out." Freefall chirped as they got to work.
The rooms were renovated to look more normal, open for any wanting to add their own touch to it, the plumbing had to be manually reset and connected with proper plumping which took a bit of time, the wood was rotted and had to be replaced right quick and all of the prior landlord's things were fenced... for life, Alex using some of his Jewels to make the changes pretty good before he also added a stable area for Freefall to rest and relax if he was interested in, too quickly at that he was with sleeping on the comfortable mat and blanket and saddle hanging on the wall with... several others. "I guess I should have expected him to be tuckered out, not just from the flight, but also the rush of alcohol in his systems, he burns it off just fine, but it tires him out sooner." He grimaced that he wouldn't be getting a ride from the train or even get to see if Natsu can ride Freefall without barfing.
Regardless, it was not like Erza would just grab him as well when she returned to pick Natsu and Gray for the task, the odds were in his favor on that, they wouldn't need five wizards handling it, now do they...?
Right...?
The tension was thick as Erza entered, her aura a sheer tide of power and discipline, as she showed off the horn she got as a gift before she got to the bare bones of everyone there, to cease Cana's drink, some guy's dancing, some idler by the board, and she didn't have anything to say to Macao, Alex could have laughed at the 'Happy' routine going on with Natsu and Gray, but he didn't as he kept still, he would rather not be dragged into any more mess without making sure that he was in the clear, also keeping his fingers from snapping as that was what started the teleport frenzy on his reviewing it as he kept quiet before a voice spoke up
"Hey, Erza, do you mind if we include one other?"
"Certainly, who else would you like to join us in this purge."
"Him..." Alex turned to see who was being selected for that mess, his mug hiding his jaw as his eyes widened to the gazes falling on him before he gulped and whispered.
"Spit-take..." Alex gulped and sprayed into the air, rather comical as he coughed and exclaimed. "EXCUSE ME!? I am not-"
"Just do it!"
"Y-Yes, ma'am..." Erza's glare was terrifying, no wonder she was the guild's disciplinary in the first place, Alex glancing to Mirajane to get him out of this mess, but she slightly nudged him along with his eyes beamed back a simple answer. 'You are dead to me, waitress...!' He breathed with following the new team out, he would have to keep all damages to a bare low, hopefully as Lucy was new to the mess of Natsu and who knows what Gray was like with and without Natsu...
