Potter and Lovegood:
After Harry Potter introduced himself to Ron Weasley, he took some paper from his pocket, a pen and began to write.
'What's that thing you're using?'
'A pen, they're much easier, neater and cheaper than quills, the writing doesn't need to dry either,' Harry continued writing.
'So, what are you writing?'
'It's my journal. My girlfriend suggested it and write down what I see, how I feel about this world. She doesn't start until next year, if she starts next year.'
'Girlfriend,' Ron gaped, 'but…but you're eleven, surely you're too young.'
Harry shrugged, 'We've known each other for years.'
'You said she's starting next year, I thought I read somewhere you lived with your muggle relatives.' Ron watched as Harry Potter write in his journal. He was confused, he had been told that the-boy-who-lived wouldn't know any witch or wizard nor anything about the magical world, until recently.
'I do, I live with my aunt, uncle and cousin, but my girlfriend is a witch,' Harry went back to writing, he wrote a few more things then closed his book. 'I promised to write everything down so she can read it from my perspective and not what the ministry says. Anyway, so are you an only child?'
'No, I have five older brothers and a sister who's younger, she starts next year.'
'A big family, must be noisy.'
'It can be, it's also hard to get any privacy. So, what are your relatives like?'
'Great, they weren't surprised when I got my letter. Aunt Petunia had been telling me about my mother for years. She told me how my mother would come home from Hogwarts and explained about all the magic she learned. I'm going to miss my computer though.'
Again, Ron was confused but he was also worried. His information was his relatives hated him, now he didn't know what to think, he also didn't know what to do.
'What's a computer?'
'Well, that's a bit hard to explain unless you know a bit about the normal world. But it's a modern marvel,' Harry pulled out his phone, 'This is a mobile phone, my mother left me a journal with charms that will allow me to use electronics stuff around Hogwarts. But the computer is too big so I knew I couldn't bring it with me, makes researching easier though.'
'How?'
'Everything is there at the touch of a button, you just type in what you want to know about. Let's say you want info on the queen, you type it in and then pages and pages come up with information on the queen, even past queens. Only takes a few seconds and you have everything you need. It was great doing assignments at primary school. I said I would give Hogwarts a year to see what it's like, if I don't like it then I'll head to a private school, one my mother mentioned in her journal.'
'But that's muggle, you wouldn't be able to use magic.'
'I don't like that word…muggle, normal is better. Anyway, I can't use it outside of Hogwarts anyway and so far from what I've seen doesn't impress me. The magical world is at least a couple of centuries behind. I like moving forward, the magical world has stagnated. But I wasn't going to dismiss it without fully experiencing it.'
'But you're father was pure-blood, would he like you giving up your magical heritage?'
'He wouldn't care, his home was a normal home. I got to visit it a couple of years ago. Once my mother showed him what the normal world could offer, he liked it. He worked in the magical world but preferred the normal world and what it could offer.'
'I'll be right back, I need to use the bathroom.'
Harry shrugged then pulled a book from his pocket. When the door slid shut behind the red head he smirked.
'Phase one complete. They have no idea what to do about their so-called weapon who was supposed to be uneducated and abused,' Harry grinned evilly before pretending to read.
Ron kept looking behind him until he snuck into another compartment, 'We've got a problem.'
'What's wrong, didn't Potter get on the train?' Hermione asked.
'He's here, but he knows about this world, his relatives like him and he has a witch girlfriend that he's known for years. It seems his mother left him some type of diary and his aunt tells him stories about his mother and Hogwarts.'
'We need to let Dumbledore know,' Fred said.
'He can work on some other plans,' George said.
'Did he tell you what his girlfriends name is?' Hermione asked.
'No, but I'll try and get a name so they can take care of her. Fred, let Dumbledore know, George owl mum, let her know that Ginny might not be involved like we thought. Oh and he said he's only going to give us a year, that we're stagnated, he likes the muggle world, he also doesn't like the name muggle. He said his dad worked in the magical world but their house was muggle, or normal as he called it.'
'But James Potter was a pure-blood,' Hermione said.
'Yeah, but it seemed Lily Potter showed him modern things or something, he liked it. I better get back,' Ron slipped out of the carriage and headed back to the one where the-boy-who-lived was sitting. Fred used his magical parchment to write to Dumbledore, George wrote to his mother.
A few hours later the students arrived at Hogwarts. The first years went with Hagrid to the boats while the rest of the students went to the carriages.
Harry listened to McGonagall go on about houses and how they are like family, he felt like scoffing, but he didn't.
Harry caught a glimpse of Dumbledore when he filed into the great hall. But he noticed that the old man wasn't the only one watching him, a few other teachers were as well.
One by one the first years were sorted, then Harry's name was called. Everyone began to whisper about the-boy-who-lived, all Harry did was sit on the stool.
'Ah Mr. Potter, but not the one I was expecting.'
'No, I'm not, just so you know hat, try to say any other house and you will explode the moment you are off my head. It's not like it'll make a difference if you don't put me where I should go, I'll only be here for a little while anyway. Forget what that old fool has told you to say and do what the founders meant for you to do.'
'You are very arrogant Mr. Potter, but I don't take orders from you.'
'Fine, I just figured I'd warn you.'
'So noted,' the hat said in Harry's head then, 'Gryffindor,' it yelled.
Harry stood up, removed the hat and to everyone's shock it splintered then shredded until there was nothing but tiny bits of material floating around the great hall. Harry shrugged then walked towards the Gryffindor table. He did not go near the red heads or even acknowledge them, nor did he return the greeting Hermione Granger gave him. He just sat down then took out his book, one that wasn't magical.
The teachers kept talking about how to sort the last of the students, finally Dumbledore enchanted his own wizard's hat then handed it to Minerva. Harry was tempted to cast his own spell on the new sorting hat but decided to just let it play out. The moment Ron was sorted into Gryffindor he sat beside Harry, who ignored him and kept reading. The moment the food arrived Harry started to eat then everyone heard a ringing.
'Hi,' Harry answered his phone, 'Fine, so far I'm not impressed,' he noticed everyone watching him, 'It's really depressing so far,' Harry listened for a minute, 'I will, hugs to everyone,' he listened, 'Love you too,' Harry hung up his phone then put it back into his pocket.
'What was that?'
Harry turned his head to see a black boy staring at him, 'What, my phone?'
'Yeah, that's a muggle thing right, I heard all muggle stuff won't work with all the magic.'
'So I was told, but my mother worked on charms so they would, she hated not being able to access all the wonderful normal items like phones. But I do not like that word, muggle, it's insulting. I live with my wonderful normal family. I will ignore anyone that says that word from now on,' Harry went back to his dinner, ignoring the looks from everyone but he could hear the talk about his phone. He would occasionally glance up at the staff table to see some of the teachers whispering, he noticed the old man looked worried. Harry made sure he didn't grin but he felt like it, he knew the old man would be trying to think of different plans to the ones he had.
Harry ignored Ron who seemed to get frustrated, he just told the red head he wasn't much for talking, that he preferred to read since he finished eating.
Once the speeches were done, he followed the other first years who were following Percy Weasley to Gryffindor tower. The moment he got to the boys dorm room, he changed then pulled the curtains around his bed. It was right then he could finally relax, keeping up the pretence of looking surprised, or disappointed was difficult. But from the next day he could start to show how really disappointed he was.
Harry was standing outside the transfiguration classroom reading a book. He ignored everyone as they joined him. When they entered the room Harry sat beside Neville before Ron or Hermione could sit next to him.
They began their work before McGonagall stopped beside Harry, 'What are you using Potter?'
'Do you mean my pen Professor?'
'Yes, the school rules state you must use a quill.'
'I will not use something so old fashioned and out of date.'
'Any work you do with that muggle instrument will not be counted.'
'Then it looks like I'll be leaving today instead of giving this place a year. Are all magicals living in the dark ages, doesn't anyone live in the twentieth century?' Harry packed up his bag, ignoring the shocked looks then left the classroom.
Harry went straight to Gryffindor tower. He sent a message to his friend then he packed his trunk and put it into his pocket before shrinking his trunk.
'Mr. Potter, I was told you walked out of class.'
'I'm leaving, this place is stuck in the past, it's not something I want. My relatives will be notifying a friend to come get me shortly, a magical friend.'
'I'm afraid I will not be allowed to let you leave.'
'Then you will be charged with unlawful imprisonment, this friend happens to be a lawyer who is already filing charges against you. You should hear about that very soon,' Harry stepped past Dumbledore and headed down through the school. He never stopped until he came to the gates of Hogwarts.
'Are you ready to leave Harry?'
'I am Victor.'
'Harry is a student, I will not allow him to leave.'
Harry rolled his eyes, moved his wand over the gates, they vanished, he stepped through then the gates appeared.
'My memory will show that you tried to stop Mr. Potter going home Dumbledore. I believe it's time for the aurors to see how many other…students you forced to remain, or is it just little boys you like….Headmaster?' Victor took Harry's arm then apparated away, leaving behind a stunned and worried Albus Dumbledore.
Harry and Victor stepped into the house, Harry took the potion which returned him to his twenty-year-old self and Victor morphed into the blond Luna Potter, formally known as Luna Lovegood.
'They were all confused and I could see the wheels turned as they tried to come up with some new plans.'
'They will begin to see all their plans going south when they cannot find you. I would bet the contents of our vault that one of them plan to visit Privet drive,' Luna said.
'I'm sure they will, which will give them another disappointment. The Dursley's are long gone and no one can point the finger at me. Everyone in Little Whinging believed the Dursley's moved overseas ten years ago due to Vernon's promotion.'
'It's done, let's just go so we can meet up with our son. Let's do what we planned love. They saw the-boy-who-lived, now we can leave this country,' Luna said as she slipped her arms around her husband.
'Yes, it's time. But it was fun to see them trying to figure out what to do. When you told the old man he liked to keep little boys, I almost lost it. I will have to tell Evan that, when he's older so he will know what you meant.'
Dumbledore had instantly contacted some of his friends. He needed Harry Potter found and brought back. He sent them off to Surrey and made sure they could use force if necessary.
It was only an hour later that his friends arrived in his office, with the bad news. Everyone they spoke to explained that Vernon Dursley got promoted with a huge pay increase if he accepted a position in America. Vernon, Petunia, Dudley and their nephew Harry, moved ten years ago. No one has seen them since. Now Albus was more than just worried, he was scared. He knew Voldemort's spirit was in the school, he needed the boy who lived to face him. Albus needed to know what it was going to take to destroy Voldemort completely.
Harry and Luna only returned to their past so everyone will see the-boy-who-lived and believe he would save them again once Voldemort did return. Harry wasn't going to save anyone, not this time. They had rescued Sirius and he was now living in Australia with them. Luna's parents had also moved to Australia, once adult Luna explained about what would happen to them if they stayed they instantly made plans to move.
No, Harry Potter was not going to help anyone in England's wizarding community. Right now, they had hope they could find Harry and he would do what they wanted him to. Within a few months, they will realise the truth. They didn't have the-boy-who-lived and their lives were about to become dangerous and deadly.
The end:
