Yea! Holidays are over, and I'm baaack! This is a two shot, a belated Christmas gift to all of you marvelous fanfic writers that keep me endlessly entertained, and to the fantastic readers for whom they write. Takes place right after 8x08 (Mr and Mrs Castle) when Castle and Beckett disappear in the bedroom. It starts with fire and playfulness but works toward something more emotional.

When Rick gets a call, he discovers Kate is more attached to her shampoo than he realised.

Set during Beckett and Castle's engagement. All seems to be going well for the couple until one day Castle wakes up not feeling well. Surely it's nothing more than just a simple cold? Non-threatening and ordinary? But when he begins to experience chest pains Beckett is forced to reconnect with a face from the past in order to get to the bottom of what is wrong and help him.
