While he is aboard the ship, the companions experience an outbreak of irrational anger between themselves. It is revealed that Rahnias has Bendii syndrome, which is telepathically causing the problems between the companions.

Gaia, the young daughter of the Doctor, wears a recall device on her wrist to teleport her back to the TARDIS when things get dangerous. The problem is that it teleports her to a 'safe' TARDIS, and that isn't always the one of her own time. Sometimes, it is the TARDIS of another version of the Doctor who suddenly has his future child to protect.
