At ling last Uhtred is becoming the lord of Bebbanburg, his birthright. He's also engaged to Aethelfled Queen of Mercia who is pregnant with their first child. Everything seems perfect until Haestan, and old nemesis arrives with Danes from Ireland to attack East Anglia and exact revenge on Uhtred. Then Brida arrives with her child complicating things further for the new family.

Just a snippet, to acclimatise to a new fandom. More book based than TV but could be from any of the latter few books. Any criticism happily received.
