Eight years have passed since Malefor's defeat, and peace was finally among the dragons of Warfang. Cynder still blames herself for her past, and is haunted by it, but it becomes the least of her problems when those around her start to act rather strangely, including the one she is closest to. It isn't long before a dark chaos sets in, and the world must fight for survival.

The year is 2066, and the Eastern hemisphere is at war. To maintain order, the U.S. sends in her most lethal fighting force: Faraday Squad.
