Rachel knew that she should never have put Melissa right about her and Ben and she definitely felt like she should have discouraged the speed dating more. Especially when it was a little light on the girls' side and Melissa dragged Rachel over. Although, seeing how jealous Eddie got made her question why the hell he was with Melissa and whether she was still in the running with him

It was in that wait that I thought over my time at Waterloo Road and I became more convinced that it was the right thing to do. There were students out there that needed a school like Waterloo Road to be able to make something of themselves. A school like Waterloo Road would help get some of those students to leave with a lot more than they thought they would.

Eddie knew that he had made a mistake and there were two ways that he could go about it. Either he could continue to wallow in his self-pity or he could try to make Rachel see that he meant what he had said. And that was how he found himself, bleary-eyed in Rachel's office at a ridiculous time in the morning to place a (badly worded) letter on her desk. Would it change her answer?

He found Rachel stood in front of the digger and when he was faced with losing her, he knew he couldn't let her go. He just had to prove that to her as she had her mind set up on an entirely different outcome.

With an inconspicuous hand on one blind slat, she has a front seat, bird's eye, business class view of the school grounds and car park. And quite possibly a VIP ticket to the biggest romantic denouement in the school's history.

Rachel had only been at Waterloo Road for a few months, with a past that haunts her she is adament to put it all behind her and better the school, the school that faces a lot of challenges and has great potential. Drama, doom and destruction faces Waterloo Road. The question is, will Miss Mason be around to see it through? And will Eddie support her?

Whilst waiting for Adam to show up for their dinner reservation, a familiar face appears at Rachel's table. Will this provide them with an opportunity for closure, or reignite some not-so-distant feelings? (A three-part fic set at the end of Series 5 Episode 18.)
