Canon Glimmer switches places with herself in a modern AU

In the aftermath of the fall of Horde Prime, Catra should be busy living her best life with Adora in Bright Moon. But Catra's been having bad dreams lately. Very bad dreams. And now it seems like they're starting to bleed into her waking life.

"Is war necessary? ...No, I don't think it is. So why do people find it necessary? ...This is no longer a place where problems can be solved by talking... War changes people." She confesses softly. "Changes the reason for fighting. And this war has long since stopped being waged for honour and ideals." A war rages, questions lay unanswered and a woman lays trapped in her mind.

Season 5 from Glimmer and Bow's perspective! (aka a whole big collection of missing scene fics that say, let's take Noelle's timeline of when Glimmer and Bow got together from Don't Go as canon and figure out exactly how that might have worked…)

This is a really short "story" idea I had where the world is corrupt, and there are two enemies on opposite sides of the war (like Catra and Adora) that share mutual ideas despite everything. It was cathartic to write it, but might be underwhelming to read, but I hope someone understands where I'm coming from.
