He pictures the butterflies from his childhood books again as they flutter in the distance, this time fleeing from the red smoke-filled skies of his parents' birthplace. It's a one-way trip, much like his own. And yet they still feel the reverberations from the past, those days over fifty years ago.

Turns out that the magic is more than just giving gifts. Y/n and a group of friends get stranded in a forest not too far from where the magical community was built. The magic senses their struggle and decided to help, bring them inside. Now she and her friends have to figure out this new way of living in this magical place.

However, she remained still and observed the mariposa with piqued interest. The color-it reminded Julieta of Mirabel; how the young girl would sew butterflies to her dress, or draw them constantly as a young child. And every time, it was the exact same color: Magenta. Or, a final continuation of the previous fic: then all at once the dark clouds depart (and the damage is done)

When given the mantel to protect the casita, Mirabel was hesitant but ready to take the roll. The casita adds some magic to Mirabel's new room and Abuela realizes what Mirabel's true Gift was. Takes place just after the end of Encanto.
