Prompt #1 by azma_dlo: "Donna and Harvey are at a Christmas party at Marcus' house with his kids and they are playing Twister and things get awkward (set pre canon)."

.-•❆•-.

Christmas just was around the corner and after her failed dating attempts and his failed relationship with Paula, Harvey and Donna were finally on good terms again and agreed to spend the holidays together. Marcus, Harvey's brother, invited Harvey to a small Christmas get-together in Boston with him, Katie and their children. Harvey didn't want to go alone but he also had no one else to spend the holidays with, so he said yes.

Donna, who once again knew what was going on, offered to join him on his trip to Boston as she didn't have anyone to spend Christmas with either. She told him she would like to join him and here they were, on the road to Boston.

.-•❆•-.

"Yeah, sure. I'd love to. Okay, I'll see you then." he spoke into his phone before hanging up. "Fuck." he mumbled to himself as he put his phone back into his pocket. His younger brother just asked him to come up to Boston over the holidays. As much as Harvey didn't want to be the third wheel at their family gathering, he wanted to spend Christmas all alone even less. Harvey Specter was attractive. If he wanted a woman he could have a woman, but relationships weren't for him. And so he was living the bachelor life. But that also meant that at the end of the day he had no one to come home to and essentially no one to spend Christmas with.

"What's wrong?" Donna asked as she entered his office and noticed his concentrated and mildly annoyed facial expression. She placed the files he asked for on his desk and looked at him worriedly.

"Nothing." He waved a hand at her.

"Let me guess," she started and sat down in a chair across from him like this was her office. "That was your brother on the phone. He invited you to Christmas dinner and you said yes, but you actually don't want to go because you hate being the third wheel. And now you're trying to figure out what to do."

"How did you know?" Harvey looked up and stared at Donna, a partly shocked, partly confused expression forming between his eyebrows.

"Intercom was on. Couldn't help myself." Donna shrugged her shoulders like it was the most normal thing in the world to listen to his private conversations.

"What are you gonna do now?" she added when Harvey didn't reply.

"I don't know." He shrugged. Marcus had this perfect little family and Harvey? Harvey was married to his job. He had nobody else in his life that he cared about, except for Donna. But she was different.

"I can join you, it's no big deal." Donna suggested. She didn't want to go home over the holidays either. It would just be three consecutive days of her father telling her that she puts Harvey over herself, but thinking about it, her father is right. She does put Harvey over herself. What Jim doesn't know, and what Harvey doesn't know either, is that she does it because she loves him, not just because it's her job.

"Would you do that?" He looked up at her again, a little bit of relief creeped up on his face, a small smile in the corner of his lips.

"I just offered to be your arm candy. But just to make this clear, this is a one-time thing. Once we're back here, everything is normal again. Whatever happens in Boston stays in Boston." She raised a finger at him and got up from her seat.

"I wouldn't expect anything else." he shook his head.

"Good. Then I'm coming. And you're driving. Pick me up at 5pm." she said and left his office again.

Whatever happens in Boston stays in Boston, he repeated her words in his head. What did she think would happen? It was just dinner with his brother and watching the kids unwrap their gifts the morning after.

.-•❆•-.

On Friday afternoon he knocked on her door to pick her up. He forgot to breathe for a moment when he saw her clad in jeans and a cream colored sweatshirt, her hair up in a loose ponytail and only mascara on her face. She looked beautiful. Her dresses and heels were also beautiful but to Harvey the natural version of his COO was even prettier.

"Hi, are you ready?" he asked and grabbed Donna's small suitcase.

"I am, let's go." she answered and closed the door behind her. They made their way to Harvey's car that he rented for the weekend and Donna made herself comfortable in her seat while Harvey stored her suitcase in the trunk.

The second they were in the car Donna connected her phone and blasted her Christmas music through the speakers. She screamed the lyrics to Last Christmas at the top of her lungs while Harvey just smiled at her enthusiasm. Next up was Driving Home For Christmas and Harvey sang along quietly, when the redhead abruptly stopped screaming and looked at him.

"What?" he asked when he noticed Donna staring.

"I didn't know you could sing."

"Good to know that you don't know everything about me." he chuckled and turned the music back up, continuing his quiet sing along session. Donna smiled at Harvey for a moment before she got an idea and changed her Spotify playlist.

"Now that we know your hidden talent, I wanna hear your best Sinatra." she said and received a grumpy face from Harvey in return, but after one of her pleading looks and a flutter of her lashes, he gave in and performed Frank Sinatra's Christmas album with ease.

"Well, that was fun, but we're here." he said and nodded towards the house they just parked in front of. Donna was so mesmerized by Harvey's singing talent that she didn't even notice how much time had passed already.

.-•❆•-.

When Marcus opened the door he greeted the pair with warm hugs and invited them in. The kids clung to Donna's legs like monkeys and Katie had to pull the two away from her. Once they made it inside they left their coats and shoes in the hall and sat down on the couch in the big living area. Marcus asked about their lives and about work. He mentioned how happy he was to finally meet the Donna his brother always talked about but he had no idea that they were dating.

Funny, the redhead thought, she had no idea they were dating either. But did he just say Harvey talked about her?

"I hope he only told you good things." she said and smiled at Marcus, then raised an eyebrow at Harvey.

"Don't worry, Donna, he did." Marcus answered and witnessed Donna smiling softly at Harvey.

Then she reached for his hand and intertwined their fingers. They both felt heat rise in their bodies and their hearts beating faster but they just let their connected hands rest in Harvey's lap. They've been working together for over ten years now. He flirted with her all the time but she had always told him no. Then when they both quit their jobs at the DA's office she slept with him but when he asked her to work with him at Pearson Hardman she put her old rule back in place.

Then she kissed him but Harvey said it was a mistake and Donna lied to him and said the kiss had no meaning anyway. But little did she know when Harvey agreed that it was a lie too. She never thought that Harvey told his brother about her. What did he even say? That his pretty and witty redhead secretary always turns him down when he asks her out?

"Well, I'll leave you two alone for a second and help Katie in the kitchen." Marcus told them as he got up from the couch and left the room

"He thinks we're together." Donna said and let go of Harvey's hand.

"Let's play along. It can be fun." Harvey answered and smiled at the redhead.

"But…"

"Relax, it's not like I want to marry you now. We'll just pretend to be a normal couple."

Donna nodded in agreement. "Okay."

They all moved to sit at the dinner table and the kids told Harvey and Donna about all the fun things they did in preschool for Christmas. It had gotten quite late when the children were finally in bed and the table was cleaned up.

"I think we should go to bed now, it's late and tomorrow will be a long and busy day." Harvey proposed and they all agreed. Katie showed them to their room and the two thanked her quickly and said good night.

.-•❆•-.

Once the door was shut they stared at the queen size bed in the middle.

"So…"

"So?"

"Who's taking the bed?"

"Are you serious, Harvey? Come on, it's a big bed, we can share."

"Yes, Donna, I am serious. We're not actually together. I don't want to cross any boundaries." he said and went to the bathroom.

"I'm fine, Harvey. It's not a big deal." she shouted after him.

Once Harvey was finished in the bathroom the redhead went in and got ready for bed. A few minutes later she emerged from the bathroom in flannel pyjamas and Harvey snickered.

"Cute pj's." he mumbled.

"What? I wasn't expecting to share a bed with you." Donna shrugged and got onto the mattress next to Harvey.

"Are you saying you would wear different pyjamas if you knew we'd share a bed?" he teased her.

"Yes, I would." she said as she pulled the thick comforter all the way up to her face.

"What pyjamas?"

"Are you serious, Harvey? That's all you have to say?"

"I just… I…"

"Silk. Maybe a slip dress instead of pants and top." she interrupted him and Harvey swallowed. She chuckled.

He was sure as hell imagining Donna in a silk slip dress. Her creamy legs seeming way longer than they already are, her hips and waist accentuated by the cut of the gown and her perfectly round globes gracing her chest, covered by the light pink material, taut pink buds peeking through - wait, who said it was light pink? Harvey shook his head.

"I didn't know you braid your hair at night." he said as he watched Donna twist her hair into a braid.

"I do that every night. Keeps it healthy." she stated and continued to braid her long red locks.

"Last time we shared a bed you didn't braid your hair."

"Last time we shared a bed I didn't have time to braid my hair because you knocked me out."

Harvey swallowed, unsure how to answer. They never brought up the other time. Donna specifically told him to not bring it up and now she did and Harvey didn't know what to say. Donna turned around, facing away from him and mumbled good night into her pillow. Harvey whispered it back and turned to the other side.

In their sleep they somehow managed to connect like magnets and when she woke up Donna was half on top of Harvey, their legs tangled together, her face in the crook of his neck and his arms tight around her. She groaned when she woke up, stretched her legs out, but when she felt Harvey's solid body underneath her, his arms heavy around her waist and his hard length pressing into her stomach her eyes shot open. She quickly rolled off of Harvey before he woke up and noticed the situation they were in.

The movement made Harvey stir, he grumbled something and turned towards Donna, throwing his arm over her and pulling her close to him again. Donna sucked in a sharp breath as Harvey's strong arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her body flush against his. The warmth and the heaviness of his body behind her lulled her back to sleep faster than she wanted.

.-•❆•-.

Two hours later she woke up again from loud knocks on the door.

"Uncle Harvey! Aunt Donna! Santa was here! Santa was here!"

The loud voices of two little children pulled them out of their deep slumber. Harvey quickly mumbled a sorry and pulled his arm away from her body before things got more awkward. Donna jumped out of bed and opened the door.

"Good morning guys! I heard Santa brought presents?" she said in a jolly voice with faked excitement like she was the one getting the gifts.

"Uncle Harvey! Get up!"

Liam jumped onto the bed and onto Harvey. He groaned as the little boy landed on his stomach.

"Come, Santa was here!" Liam tried again and pulled Harvey up.

"Okay, okay. I'm coming." he yawned and got up.

.-•❆•-.

In the living room they watched Liam and Haley unwrap their gifts. Haley grabbed the biggest box and ripped the paper open to reveal the game inside.

"Oh Twister!" Katie said excitedly, as if she didn't already know what was in the box.

"What?" Harvey furrowed his brows.

"Please don't say you don't know Twister." Donna looked at him and laughed.

"What?" Harvey shrugged. "We never had it when we were kids and I don't have kids so what do you expect?"

"Okay, then we'll teach you later because this," she pointed to the big cardboard box Haley was holding with her little hands. "is a heck lot of fun, even for grumpy adults like you." she chuckled again and poked his ribs.

"But we're gonna have breakfast first." Katie said and lifted Haley up to carry her into the dining room.

Donna groaned when she did the same with Liam. "Ugh you're heavy."

.-•❆•-.

A few hours later they were all out on a walk in the snow. The white and gloomy landscape was a beautiful sight but it was freezing cold. Marcus was ahead of everyone pulling Haley and Katie on sleigh behind him, Liam giggled and screamed as he ran after them. Harvey and Donna walked slowly behind everyone else.

"I can't feel my face anymore." Donna stated and made chewing motions, trying to bring her face back to life. Harvey stopped, turned to her and cupped her cheeks with both his hands in order to warm her up.

"I think a mulled wine would do more." Donna chuckled but then she saw the twinkle in his eyes and his soft smile and she felt her breath hitch and her heartbeat rise when she thought he might kiss her any moment.

"I… I think we should…" she stumbled and pointed to Marcus and his family who were by now only small dots on the horizon.

"Uhh… yeah." Harvey let go of Donna's cheeks and took her hand instead. The redhead looked down at their connected hands and smiled. Harvey hadn't been this nice to her in a while and she only then realized how much she missed being close to him.

Soon it was dark out and everyone was freezing so they headed back inside for mulled wine and hot chocolate.

"I need a nap." Harvey eventually said and leaned back on the couch.

"No no no, you need to learn the childhood joys of Twister." Donna told him and pulled him up. "Come on."

Haley and Liam jumped in excitement and waited for Donna to finish placing the map on the floor.

"Alright, I'm gonna spin the wheel." Marcus said and sat down on the floor. Haley took a seat on Marcus' thigh and Harvey offered to let Donna and Liam play the first round but he was actually just trying to avoid this game for as long as possible.

"Okay, then Liam and I will show you how professionals play Twister." she said and gave the little boy a high-five.

Wow, that woman is really taking this game seriously, Harvey thought. He watched as Marcus spun the wheel and gave instructions to Liam and Donna. They did as they were told and placed their left feet on the red circles. Next was the left hand on yellow and both of them crouched down to reach the yellow circles. Liam had it a lot easier to reach the yellow spot as he was a lot shorter than Donna but when the tall redhead reached over to put her hand on the field Harvey couldn't help but admire her long legs.

"Right hands on yellow, too." Marcus called out and Liam claimed the yellow circle next to his left hand, leaving only the circle left of Donna's left hand for her. She tried to reach under her left arm but couldn't get to the circle. After a moment of thinking she turned around, moved into a backbend and placed her hand on the map.

"Oh my God, that's so cool!" Haley screamed and stared at Donna with wide eyes and an open mouth. "Can you teach me that too, Donna?"

"Of course, honey." she answered from her upside down position.

"Alright, right foot on green." Marcus instructed and they all witnessed Donna stretching out her leg to reach the green circle and Liam struggling with the distance between his hands and his feet.

A few crazy movements from Donna later she found herself in the same backbend position as earlier, this time facing Harvey. She looked up at him and noticed how his gaze wandered to her glorious boobs peeking out of her sweater due to gravity.

Eventually he snapped away and focused on Haley instead but not soon after Liam couldn't hold his position anymore and fell onto the map with a thud.

They switched places and Harvey and Haley played a round. It took the lawyer a few minutes to figure out how to place his hands and feet so he wouldn't fall over. But after a few minutes with his left arm on the same field he couldn't hold it any longer and fell face down onto the floor. Donna chuckled; it was an amusing sight to watch the tall and strong Harvey fall to the floor like a dead fish.

.-•❆•-.

"I think it's time for bed now." Marcus said. They had played another few rounds, had a dinner break and played two more rounds. But every time the adults played with either one of the kids and then Liam and Haley played a round together.

Fifteen minutes later Marcus and Katie came back into the living room, informing Harvey and Donna that the kids were finally sleeping.

"I'm gonna go to bed, too, but you can stay here if you want." Marcus' wife said and left the living area again, leaving Harvey with his brother and his COO.

"You wanna play another round?" Donna said and nodded towards the Twister map that was still on the floor.

"Uhh… sure." Harvey answered, not quite convinced that this was a good idea.

"Come on!" Donna pulled him up and towards the Twister map. "Marcus, can you spin the wheel again?"

Marcus did as he was asked and instructed them to place their left feet on the red circles. Then they had to put their right feet on blue circles and Harvey thought 'that was easy'. He was standing right behind Donna, his legs in the same position, but Donna's next move forced her to lean forward to place her hand on the red circle. The position they were in made it incredibly hard for him not to think about the other time, how she was standing there in front of him, stretching her butt towards him.

Harvey swallowed. He wasn't supposed to mention the other time, he wasn't even supposed to think about it. But he couldn't help it. Donna made it incredibly difficult for him to not have dirty thoughts when she stood in all those crazy flexible positions that looked a lot more like sex than Twister. He had to suppress the urge to grab her hips and grind his center against hers.

"Harvey, left hand on yellow." Marcus interrupted his thoughts. He quickly came back to reality and bent over to place his hand on the yellow circle.

"Right foot on yellow, too."

"Oh God." Harvey groaned as he tried to move his leg to the yellow circle.

"What? Like it's hard?" Donna asked, chuckled lightly and pulled her leg to the yellow circle with ease. How did she do that?

"It's not fair! You're like a yoga goddess, it's like your body is made of jelly."

"I think we both know it's not." she raised an eyebrow at him and smirked seductively. Harvey swallowed again. God, she was really making it quite difficult to remain cool, but as much as Harvey tried to remain cool, the thoughts running through his mind caused an erection and he tried his best to hide it.

As Donna turned around, stretching her arm to reach the green field, her hair fell into Harvey's face like a curtain and the vanilla scent hit his nostrils. He inhaled deeply, his nose got flooded with the sweet scent of her shampoo and he instantly remembered when they were lying in her bed, spent from their most recent round of lovemaking, him spooning her and gently caressing her arm while he buried his face in her hair. Oh, how well he remembered that smell.

He took another deep breath and felt his dick move slightly as her signature scent surrounded him. Only when Donna moved and her hair disappeared again he was able to face reality. He was not in bed with Donna, he was playing a stupid children's game with her.

"Right hand on blue." Marcus announced when he spun the wheel and Harvey and Donna tried to put their hands on the blue circles, but then Harvey tumbled, lost his balance and fell, pulling Donna down with him.

"Shit," he mumbled. "Are you okay?"

He placed his hand on Donna's shoulder to make sure that she wasn't hurt. She nodded and confirmed that she was fine, but Harvey stayed over her for another moment, looking down at her big hazel eyes and her slightly agape lips. Harvey could tell that Donna thought he would kiss her, so he quickly rolled off of her, mumbled a 'sorry' and got up again.

"I think Donna won this one." Marcus said. "The fall wasn't her fault."

"That's only fair." Harvey agreed. "You wanna go again?" he then added and looked at the redhead. Donna nodded and got up from the floor where she was still sitting. Harvey offered her a hand and she gladly took it.

"Okay, left foot on yellow."

They both placed their legs as instructed, Harvey right behind Donna. Her ass grazed his groin as she shifted into a new position and even if the contact was short, it was long enough that his dick twitched softly in his pants and he had to swallow a moan. This time Harvey grabbed her hips though, to steady her and to steady himself, but he had to fight his urge to pull her closer.

They both moved into a new position, his chest to her face now and he was so close that she could smell the mixture of his cologne and aftershave that made her legs and arms weak. She felt an urgent need to hide her face there, in his shirt, and just breathe in the familiar scent.

"Donna?" Harvey pulled her from her thoughts. "It's your turn."

"I… uh… yeah." she muttered and shook her head in order to clear her mind. Oh, how much she would have loved to kiss Harvey. Marcus thought they were dating so it wouldn't even be a big deal for him anyway. But she knew kissing Harvey again should be without an audience. She wanted it to be without an audience.

"Right hand on blue."

Donna moved her hand to the blue circle closest to her when Harvey interrupted the game.

"Can we stop for a second?"

"Why?" she asked with furrowed brows.

"I'm sweating, I need to take off my sweater." he answered and already moved to take off the piece of fabric. As he pulled the thick sweater up he also grabbed his undershirt, causing it to slide up his torso with the sweater and revealing his toned body.

Donna found herself staring at his abs. She counted one, two, three, four, but then she noticed that Harvey caught her staring and she snapped away. He smirked at Donna, fully aware of what just happened and the thought of getting Donna turned on was very arousing to him, too.

A few very strange movements later, Donna found herself upside down again, her arms bracketing Harvey's legs and her face very close to Harvey's growing erection. Harvey swallowed once again, that seemed to be the theme of the night. Having Donna's face so close to his dick was tough for him, images of his length in her mouth clouded his mind. Harvey closed his eyes and felt his boner pressing against his fly.

Luckily Donna moved away from his crotch again but then she couldn't hold her position any arms gave in and she landed on him with her entire body weight, dragging him along with her. He wrapped his arms around her body automatically and said "I got you" as they crashed to the ground, their faces impossibly close and they stared into each other's eyes. No one said a word or made any effort to move. He wanted to kiss her so badly right then and there but she already got up again, asking "Are you okay? Did I hurt you?"

"I'm fine, I'm fine." Harvey replied and moved to get up again.

"This round goes to Harvey." Marcus said from his place on the couch and snickered as he watched Donna struggle to pull Harvey back to his feet.

"Next round." he said and spun the wheel once more. "Right foot on green."

This time they decided to start off facing each other.

"Left hand on blue." Marcus instructed and they both looked down to figure out which blue circle to use. They decided that Harvey would lean back into a spider position and Donna would lean forward, hovering over Harvey. As she leaned forward her sweater revealed a lot more cleavage than she wanted to show and Harvey couldn't help but admire her breasts. Those perfectly round globes he loved so much. He remembered vividly what they felt like under his touch, how soft they were, how hard her nipples got when he sucked on them, how good her skin tasted, how softly she moaned when he squeezed them. Harvey was a boobs guy and Donna had a perfect pair, of course he admired her chest.

"Right hand on green."

Harvey moved to put his hand on the green circle. He twisted his body and the new position was definitely not the most comfortable for him. Donna on the other hand had no problems twisting her entire body like a limp noodle and placing her hand on a free green circle.

The new position they were in caused Donna to sit on Harvey's thigh which, on one hand, was very handy since it was quite hard to keep her hips in the air for so long, but on the other hand, grinding on Harvey's leg reminded her a lot of the last time this happened. How she sat on his leg, rubbing herself across his thigh while he sucked and nibbled on her neck. How she circled her hips and almost came from that friction alone. She let out a shaky breath as the memories ran through her head and she felt heat rise in her body.

"Oh God, Donna," he panted and she knew he meant he couldn't stay in this position any longer but she couldn't help but think about the last time he said it, in the same voice, maybe a little huskier, just a moment before he came inside her. Donna closed her eyes and tried to rid the thoughts but that only increased her memory and she felt another rush of liquid heat pool at her center. Just then Harvey collapsed and fell to the ground.

"Alright, I'm going to bed." Marcus said after announcing that Donna won this round.

"Okay, good night, Marcus." Donna smiled at Harvey's brother.

"Good night. Don't stay up too late guys." he answered and smiled at them.

"Good night." Harvey said and Marcus left them alone in the living room.

"I think we should go to bed too. It's been a long day." Donna said and scratched her head nervously. Being alone with Harvey was kind of awkward now.

Just as she was about to turn around Harvey grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. She tripped and fell against Harvey with such force that it knocked both of them over.

Donna landed on Harvey, their faces just mere inches apart. She felt her own breath hitch, watched how Harvey's gaze traveled to her lips and back to her eyes, how his throat bobbed as he swallowed. His fingers came up to tuck a strand of her red hair behind her ear and on the way he gently caressed her cheek with the back of his fingers.

Donna closed her eyes and tried to enjoy the moment while it lasted. Harvey was gonna back out before anything happened anyway, she thought. But he didn't. He moved his hand to her neck and pulled her down to press his lips to hers in a soft, mellow kiss that felt like the first snowfall in December.

She tasted like mulled wine and gingerbread cookies and when Harvey swiped his tongue over hers the flavor of whiskey invaded her taste buds. Donna let out a shaky breath when they parted and Harvey saw the look in her eyes. Happiness, comfort, and something else. Something bigger. Something more.

Harvey turned them around, carefully laying Donna on the floor, before he captured her lips again. Her arms flew around his neck on instinct. An instinct she could only describe as the feeling of having everything she needed but still wanting more.

Their tongues met in a slow dance. They kissed lazily, not rushed, not at all how Donna imagined their next kiss to be. She thought kissing Harvey again would be hectic, full of lust and passion. But it was gentle and sweet and she felt the honesty of the kiss. She felt Harvey opening up to her, physically by parting his lips so her tongue could sneak in, and metaphorically by showing her that he was here, with her, finally.

When they parted for air he saw the blush on her cheeks, the sparkle in her eyes and the content smile on her lips and whispered "Merry Christmas, Donna."
