He wanted to be interesting.
His life was boring.
He looked over to Supermodel Adrien Agreste group, all of them were so interesting.
They did so many interesting things.
The girls were all so pretty.
What was it like to be in such a group?
He was Dan Kuso, age 14, with shaggy brown hair, brown eyes, average in looks.
No hope of anything interesting happening to him.
And then a meteor hit him when his family went on a boring family camping trip that killed him, he died and woke up in a high-tech bedroom with a woman looking down at him with a smile.
He screamed of course.
She waited for him to stop screaming and when he did, she said. "You done?"
He was speechless.
Well, yes.
She said. "Welcome to your new life Dan Kuso. Those in the afterlife, took an interest in you because you were killed by meteor rock. That sort of thing doesn't happen every day"
Indeed, it does not.
She said. "So we read your biggest want in life and decided to make your life interesting from now on and what's more interesting than being an alien War Hero."
He opened his mouth.
She said. "As your new identity, you get the cool clothes, the partner, the friends, the ability to go to other planets and so much more. If you want to show the world your life, it's completely up to you. My manager wants to know what would happen if we put you in such a unique position"
And he of course opened his mouth again.
She said. "Now, what do you want first. Some money or the outfit?"
He was stunned before saying. "Ur, can I have the money?"
He was giving 200 in cash right there and his eyes were round.
She said. "I want to make an outfit for you before I bring in your battling partner. Your partner has to go well, with your personality. Somebody has to keep you level-headed. He's not going to be a robot but a real being with thoughts and feelings"
He was just staring at the money.
She said. "Now, let's,l measure you. Please get up" and he did.
She measured him and they talked and he watched tv.
He went back to school the next day like nothing happened, but something did happen.
His world had changed, the name Dan Kuso was going to mean something now.
He was going to enter that group's eyes one day.
On his way home, he brought some cool green-skinned googles with blue shades because he always wanted to wear some but wasn't sure how he would look.
Now, he didn't care.
Then he changed his social media to 'Dan Kuso' the most interesting person you would ever meet.
Then his new mom put him in the new clothes.
A yellow shirt, a red jacket that went over his shirt with black pockets, red jeans held up by a studded black belt, blue sneakers and blue fingerless gloves.
The outfit was actually pretty basic when it came to alien clothes but you have to start somewhere.
He took a picture showing off his new outfit to the world and had the name 'Vestil' added his race to his bio instead of human thanks to his new mom.
And then he was introduced to Drago.
Then he was introduced to Drago real form in their huge basement that he had no idea existed.
He went to school with his head held high and BOY did everybody look.
Not just because of his outfit but he had taken Drago to school with him so imagine hearing a mature male voice coming from what looked like a toy.
Nobody seemed to believe him when he said Drago wasn't a toy.
At lunchtime, after food, he went to the back of the school and decided to release Drago into the school sports grass.
Students lost it of course when they saw the giant red dragon rise from the ground.
But instead of trying to kill people, Drago sat down on the grass and let him climb on top.
Soon, they heard shouts for everybody to come outback, to see the dragon.
The whole school came outside including the Principal and everybody freaked the hell out when they saw Drago.
However, Drago said "Hello, children" without moving his lips.
And to say, things were living from that point on was an understatement of a lifetime.
The science teacher was really interested in Drago and had her clipboard out.
Drago allowed students to climb him as if 17 years old was suddenly 6.
Alya Cesaire displayed Drago on her ladyblog and her followers freaked out.
Everybody seemed to be taking pictures including Adrien Agreste and the Mayor of Paris own daughter.
Meanwhile, he yelled at his teacher about Drago not being a toy again and the woman opened her mouth.
But what people really wanted to know is if Drago can fly.
Well, Drago removed all the people climbing him gently and stood his full length which made him incredibly tall and then moved back, warning people in the process.
Then the being opened his wings like a Phoenix and took off with him on his palm.
The feeling of flying through the sky was incredible and he heard. "Woahs" from down below.
It was a five-minute ride before he came down and began Drago began giving people rides including the teaching staff so they can experience it too.
He could hear people gushing from on the ground.
Nobody expected today to be so awesome.
When everybody had a turn on Drago, Drago said. "I'm going to time out for a bit" and then Drago turned into red light before so many eyes and went back into ball form that could be mistaken for a toy.
Drago said, to him "This form is a lot less comfortable but I can move freely move around."
Then Drago said to all of them. "Sorry about your grass"
He was talking about the large claw prints now on it.
However, everybody told the being not to worry about it while taking pictures of it.
And then they hounded Drago with questions which made the guy quickly retreat to his pocket.
Then the bell rang to end lunch, the Principal coughed and told everybody to get back to class.
What?
Even the teachers groaned.
Everybody was looking at him in his final class though, looking at his pocket more specifically.
The dude wasn't coming out no matter how much you want it. He thought.
He jogged home when the bell rang only to discover Drago on the news when he walked through the door.
Nadja Chamack said. "In a stunning discovery. A creature closely resembling the mythical being called a Dragon showed up at Collage Dupont Francis this afternoon and he didn't attack anyone. Instead, he was an intelligent and thoughtful being who gave students and staff rides through the air. Currently, the incident is climbing through the ranks of the world's trending page. My daughter hasn't stopped talking about wanting to climb Drago and fly on him ever since I picked her up. It does look like a memorable experience"
And what effect did this have on his life you may ask?
The next day, his classmates who never bothered to really talk to him before was suddenly surrounding him wanting to talk about Drago who decided that being at school was too much for him.
The science teacher looked like a kicked puppy when he told her Drago had decided to stay home.
She was definitely down the whole class.
At lunchtime, the group of his dreams called him over and of course, he went just to meet everybody face to face.
But he couldn't help but notice that they were more interested in getting to learn about Drago than him.
Everybody he talked to was.
This was his life now, the human Drago was connected to.
He needed an actual friend other than Drago.
Not somebody who was using him to get close to his awesome buddy.
He, of course, said yes to the cinema because he was weak like that and went.
He complained to his new mother and Drago as soon as he got home though, on how he didn't actually have friends and they were all smitten with Drago.
It was the weekend now.
Well, his mom told him to write what he was looking for in a friend and it didn't matter how impossible it was.
He wrote down that he wanted a Ninja friend, who was cool, good looking and badass.
He named him Shun Kazami.
He heard the phone go off and his mom picked up the phone.
She was on it for a while before turning to him and saying. "It's Shun grandfather. He told us that they've moved into the forest and you can come over tomorrow"
His face must have been a picture.
Never before had he been introduced to somebody in such away.
He went to the guy's house early the next morning because of course he did and discovered the hottest Asian dude he had ever seen meditating under a waterfall.
The guy had long black hair in a ponytail and wore a black shirt, purple long jacket with black pockets, fingerless gloves, black pants and shoes.
Reminded him, of his clothes.
He took a sneak picture since the guy wasn't talking to him.
The post went up, the guy's brown eyes flew open and they both awkwardly stared at each other.
Well, he was the first to fill the silence and they talked and he discovered that Shun wasn't so uptight like he first appeared and they ended up having a good discussion while they're Bakugan got to know each other.
He got amazing videos of Shun effortless being a Ninja which he posted online.
He found it funny how the comments were mostly people lusting after Shun while the rest was inquiring about seeing some more Ninja stuff from the guy.
Nobody was hanging with a Ninja guy on Saturday that's for sure.
He also did some videos to featuring himself but he was a mess.
So it was no surprise that Shun was the public favourite.
They both agreed to do a Bakugan battle on Sunday and he advertised that it would be done in a particular stadium, that his mom had already rented out and told him the details.
Well, Sunday rolls around and when he came out in the open to face his opponent, the stands were jam-packed.
No kidding, he could see faces of people in his class and school, even Alya Cesaire showed up with her boyfriend.
Why was the news here, though?
He was wide-eyed seeing the news cameras.
And then he pursed his lips when he heard the much louder reaction when Shun showed up.
They both stopped a massive distance away.
Then he dropped his gate card and it dissolved into the floor, a beam of light spread through the whole stadium.
And just like that, everybody knew what they were about to witness was something special.
And then they began and he didn't even remember all they did because all he could think about was how much fun he was having and the crowd reaction to the craziness going on.
The loudest by far was the reveal of Shun Bakugan, Skyress who was actually a green Phoneix.
Even the news was screaming "oh, wow!"
Her voice was old and ancient, much older then Drago, which made everybody realise she was a senior.
But thankfully nobody truly got hurt because the battle was very much virtual except for the wind and even that was like 10 per cent of what it would have been.
The crowd didn't stop freaking out from beginning to end and by some miracle, he and Drago won.
Drago stood victorious while Skyress was defeated in ball form on the floor and an invisible voice declared them the winner.
There was a roar of approval from the crowd.
And then it happened.
Suddenly both Drago and Skyress began glowing and then Skyress morphed out of her ball form.
When the light show ended, they were all staring at what could only be described as an evolved version of the two Bakugan.
Silence.
Everybody then proceeded to lose their minds as the two returned back to their ball forms, but this time, even their ball forms were a bit different due to the evolution.
He and Shun looked at each other and then walked towards each other and shook hands to show good sportsmanship.
The crowd went wild as they have never seen something so awesome before.
Meanwhile, he was wondering if he could get an upgrade on his clothes to match Drago new look.
He had no idea that he had just started a worldwide phenomenon.
But he was about to.
