I woke up with a harsh and sharp intake of air that made my dry throat burn.
My body was heavy, my ears kept ringing, and I could barely see anything with how dark it was. The air was frigid cold, but it somehow didn't bother me, instead what bothered me were the metallic and heavy belts wrapped around my legs and belly.
I could hear a voice, but it was muffled and rushed, and I could calm down and only grew more and more panicked as my breathing quickened.
I tried to move my arms, but only my right arm was free while my left arm was bound at the wrists by another metallic belt.
Where the fuck am I?!
I was just- wait... what was I doing? Who am I?
My panic only grew worse when I realized that I couldn't remember anything. Not my name, not my past, nothing!
"Is someone out there?!" I screamed, thrashing against my bindings with as much force as I could muster.
I managed to snap the bindings over my left leg, but my knee slammed against something metallic and hard the moment I tried to move, making me hiss and curse from the pain.
I moved my now free leg around to test the surroundings, but since there's barely any room in here I think I am inside a sort of capsule? Or maybe a… coffin?
Jesus Christ, did they bury me alive?!
I blink when suddenly a bright light shines through a small crack on my right, making me hiss and look away, but my eyes soon widen when a soft, child-like voice comes through the crack.
"Guardian, please calm down! I'll be able to open the capsule soon enough!" The voice said, making me blink in confusion as whoever it was moved away, making everything go dark once more.
'Guardian'? What the hell is that supposed to mean? And why the hell is a kid here?
I shake my head and take a deep breath to calm myself, then focus on trying to rip the bindings off of me once more.
I reach over with my free hand to feel the metallic belt around my wrist and I can feel that it's full of rust and that my struggles from before managed to loosen it up a bit, especially since a few of the bolts had either rusted away or popped off when I started struggling.
The ones around my belly were even worse off, so I easily tore them off before freeing my left arm, then did the same with my right leg. I sighed in relief once I was free, then shifted around to see if I can find a button or level to get out of this small space. Thank God I'm not claustrophobic…
A loud hiss made me jump and stop what I was doing as suddenly the front of the capsule split in half and opened, the metal groaning loudly as the sound of ice cracking and shattering joined it.
The frigid cold became even worse once I managed to kick the capsule's doors fully open, and I had to cover my eyes as the bright light from before shined down on me again.
"Who are you?" I asked as I took big mouthfuls of air, just now realizing how dusty the inside of the capsule was, and how dusty I currently am right now. "And where am I?"
"I-I am a Ghost! W-well, your Ghost to be exact." I looked up to stare at the owner of the child-like voice, then blinked when I noticed it was a floating, fist sized floating ball with pointy protrusions.
Wait… Ghost? Guardian? That all sounds so familiar for some reason…
It was then that memories flooded through my head, making me wince. Memories of an amazing game that I loved and used to play during my free time, spending hours upon hours on it.
The name of the game was Destiny if I remember right. But that was it, that game isn't supposed to be real, so how am I here?
"I see that some of your memories are starting to come back, and I'd love to explain what's going on but I doubt we have much time left until they find us." I perk up at her words and narrow my eyes, instantly looking around to assess any kind of threat I may be facing almost by instinct.
I was inside a hall, half destroyed and frozen and half kind of still working, with lights still blinking here and there and giving me a bit of lighting to properly look around.
There were more capsules around the hall, at least two dozen, but more than half of them seemed to have been torn in half by… something. While some were half open and filled with ice or just empty.
I glance down to check out my body and blink when I notice that it was featureless. I had no nails, no privates, nothing. I didn't even have hair on my head, and my skin was a sickening gray color.
What the hell? I don't look like any of the known races in Destiny…
"What am I?" I found myself asking the Ghost as I stood up on shaky legs. My sense of balance was way off since this body was clearly not mine, but hopefully I'll quickly get used to it.
"From what I could gather from the ship's archives, you and the others here were supposed to be a new type of Exo, named Neo Exo. More advanced and human looking, capable of changing their own appearance at will on a whim. You were among the first batch to be created and shipped off during the Golden Age just as the Collapse happened, which led to the ship crashing back down onto Europa." I blinked at her words, wondering just how much more stuff has been left out of the Destiny lore, or if it's a new thing added into this Destiny reality.
I glanced down at my hands and watched with wide eyes as the sickening gray became a healthy pink, nails appeared out of nowhere through a swarm of what are definitely nanites, and I watched as the wave of nanites swept past my body, changing and morphing it exactly how I want it.
I don't remember how I used to look like before I somehow appeared here, but my feelings are kind of directing me towards it.
I grew slightly taller, my body grew curves and took a more womanly shape while hair grew on my head and stopped at the back of my waists, then hopefully turned a dark crimson. Muscles became more visible over my belly and arms, and then I made sure to change my eye color to green, but I don't know if that worked.
"Say, you don't happen to have any clothes with you don't you?" I questioned as I looked at my stark naked body. I don't know how exactly I look, but I'd rather have clothes on and not walk around completely naked for who knows how long.
I think I should be embarrassed that I am completely naked, but right now I don't really care.
"Oh, of course! Here!" The Ghost disappeared in bright motes of light that drifted towards me, then the same motes of light enveloped my whole body as a thin but flexible and comfortable suit of pitch black armor appeared out of nowhere around me. "These are the standard Guardian armor and weapons given to all the Ghosts still looking for their Guardians. I would have suited you up when I bought you back, but I couldn't do that since you were tied up." I nodded my head at his words, finding his childlike voice quite cute.
I flexed my fingers and rolled my shoulders before sighing, finding no problem with my movements even with the armor on. It was very light and warm, and I barely even noticed that I was wearing the helmet too, I only noticed after I realized that now I could perfectly see in the dark.
"What threats are we dealing with?" I asked as I reached down towards my waists, grabbing the twelve chamber gray hand cannon strapped to my waists. The moment I grabbed it I noticed a small icon appear on the lower left side of my vision, it was a hand cannon icon showing the amount of ammo in the chamber and the reserves right next to it. Cool armor feature, incredibly useful too.
"Fallen and Vex mostly. I ran into a group of Fallen while coming here, but I managed to lead them into a confrontation with a Vex battalion. Whichever of the two groups won should already be in the ship." Another small icon appeared in the top left of my vision, this one resembling a Ghost. I pull my gaze away from that to check the hall more thoroughly now that I can perfectly see in the dark.
The left side led to nowhere since it was completely caved in, and there were broken boxes and some still intact ones laying here and there. I wonder if this place has been looted already.
A loud bang coming from the other end of the hall makes me jump and slide behind the cover of a large metal box before peeking from the side to check on what might have caused it.
A barely open door at the end of the hall is soon slammed open by two Fallen Dregs, four more of them following inside right after them before a Captain walks in calmly right after them. It held a Shock Rifle in it's hands while two of the Dregs had Shock Pistols, the others instead had Shock Daggers.
"Hey Ghost, what's my class? Warlock, Titan, or Hunter?" I whispered as my hand clenched around the Hand Cannon in my hand. I had a Scout Rifle on my back too, but the Hand Cannon is more useful in such close quarters combat.
"You'll… have to pick. It's part of the things that I need to explain to you once we are in a more safe location." I blinked at that, but decide to hold the questions for later as I hear the Dregs getting closer to my location.
"Warlock, Void Specialization, please." I whispered, and as soon as I did I felt a rush of energy through my whole body. A soothing, warm but powerful energy. So this is how it feels like to wield the power of Light.
"Shields are up Guardian." I nodded with a smile and released a deep breath before steeling my resolve and leaning out of cover.
One of the Dregs was just about to reach the corner of the metal box I was hiding behind, and it jumped the moment I showed myself, but a loud bang silenced it as his head exploded with a hiss of light blue air and liquid. It was impossible to miss it's head from how close we were.
The Captain roared out orders a few seconds later and after it recovered from the shock and loud gunshot, but more of them soon followed that drowned out whatever it was saying.
One of the Dregs with the Shock Pistols went down after several hits and missed shots, because aiming this fucking Hand Cannon is just that hard. My wrist already hurts from how strong the recoil is!
I rolled out of cover and grabbed the Shock Dagger from the Dreg I killed before for additional defense, then jumped back as an electric bullet left a molten hole right exactly where I was. Hopefully my Shield can tank those bullets.
Hoping that it works, I focus on controlling my Light and condense it into my left hand once I strapped the Shock Dagger to my waist, grinning when a condensed ball of light purple Light appeared in it.
I threw it at the approaching group of three Dregs with Shock Daggers and watched as it exploded in a bright flash of purple light, releasing three bolt-like projectiles that slammed against the Dregs, leaving a gaping hole in their chests before their bodies disintegrated into purple motes of light.
So my starting grenade is the Axion grenade. Not my favorite, but it's better than nothing.
I hiss when dark orange flaming projectile slam against my side hard enough to throw me on the ground, causing the Shield to explode and leaving me more vulnerable. I forgot about the damn Captain!
"Shields will be back up in ten seconds!" My Ghost told me, making me release a sigh as I rolled out of the way and released the remaining shots towards the Captain before I jumped behind cover to reload.
I strapped my reloaded Hand Cannon to my waists before reaching back to grab my Scout Rifle. It had sixteen rounds in the chamber, and more than a hundred in reserve, but hopefully it's recoil shouldn't be as hard as the Hand Cannon.
I stood up and leaned on the metal box, aiming towards the approaching last Dreg before quickly gunning it down with three well placed consecutive shots, smiling giddily at the very weak recoil the weapon us.
I instantly turned towards the very furious Captain, it's flaming shots slamming against the metal box and leaving molten holes into it, but luckily my Shield came back up so I could shrug them off if I got hit, so I quickly started shooting towards it, missing a few times while the shots that hit weakened the bubble-like Shield around it. Just as I pulled back to reload I managed to catch it reach for something and then throw it in my direction, making my eyes go wide when I see the sparking ball flying towards me.
I roll out of the way as an explosion of Arc energy erupts beside me, cratering the reinforced metal with ease, before retaliating with my own grenade too before rushing forward.
A Void Bolt slams against the Captain, destroying it's Shield, giving me an opening to reach for the Shock Dagger I stole before and stab it right in the head. I stabbed the head two more times before pulling back and watching as light blue gas hissed out of the helmet while the corpse twitched a bit before going still.
I didn't celebrate my victory just yet and rushed to the doors, reloading my Scout Rifle as I peeked through the open doorway, relaxing only when I didn't see anymore Fallen around within the next hall.
"Okay, we should have some free time now. Mind telling me what the hell is going on?" I ask while I go and loot the Fallen corpses. I put my Scout Rifle on my back before grabbing a Shock Pistols and the long thin cylinders that are very clearly the ammunition. Good thing there's a lot of them, bad thing is that I don't have a way to carry them all.
"I'd prefer if we were in a more secure place, but you deserve the explanation." My Ghost appeared in a flash of light, then I watched with wide eyes as it scanned a light over the ammunition for the Shock Pistol and making it disappear. "My name is Nur. I was personally created over a week ago by the Traveler for you. I know you already have some memories about this world and it's future, and it's normal since you come from a different reality where this world was but a game." I blinked and stopped my looting to stare at the now named Nur, which I am quite sure means Light, but I don't know what language it is, my memories are still very much a disorderly mess.
"So what, I'm supposed and expected to fight against a Paracausal entity by myself?" I asked sarcastically, wondering if this is all just a bad joke inside a horrible dream. I know that Light is a power that can slay Paracausal entities, but the Darkness is spread across the universe with an army of trillions or more, while the Traveler's Light isn't. As much as I hate to say this, it's just a horrifyingly bad match-up and a losing battle.
"It may sound impossible now, but what if you had this?" I blinked when Nur suddenly released a light projection that condensed into a light blue square.

[Title: Lightbearer]
You are a Lightbearer, capable of wielding the Paracausal force known as the Light. It can heal you, empower you, and even bring you back from death.
[Gamer's Mind]
Grants you the ability to always have a calm and focused mind. It can be used to fight against emotional distress or other negative thoughts. It can be toggled off or easily ignored. Grants absolute protection from all attacks towards the mind.
[Gamer's Body]
You can keep growing stronger by killing or defeating your enemies. You can easily ignore the need for sleep or food. Grants absolute protection against all poisons.
Ah, that's how. The Gamer System huh? Albeit it looks different from the one I slightly remember.
"Your Soul was given to the Traveler by another… entity. A multiversal entity to be exact. They talked with the Traveler before creating and connecting me to both the Light and the Gamer System, and then to you." A multiversal entity giving away the Gamer System? Could it be another Gamer? One that is at the peak of their power?
If so, am I just some sort of entertainment for them?
"You aren't." Nur piped up, making me blink and turn towards him with narrowed eyes. "I know a bit about your past life, and I won't say much until your memories come back, but you used to be a soldier fighting in a losing war. Your last wish before dying was to keep on fighting." So the multiversal entity is kinda nice? Well, let's hope so then.
Still, no wonder I felt comfortable when wielding a gun, it's because I was a soldier. Hopefully my memories come back soon as I don't like not knowing anything about myself.
"Let's change the topic, can you tell me how the System works?" I ask as I turn towards one of the nearby metallic boxes, and use the Shock Daggers to slowly melt a side open. These things can cut metal as if it's butter, damn.
"Of course. The way the System works is simple: you can pick a new class every fifty levels if you want. Be it a fighting class or a production class, they are all available. All classes have a Skill Menu, where you can unlock things with Skill Points. You obtain two Skill Points with each level up, but if you have two classes, then you obtain four Skill Points each level, so on and so forth. Skill Points can also be used to upgrade your Personal Skills or your Light Powers, and you need a certain amount of them to push your Skills to the next Rank. The Ranks are F, E, D, C, B, A, S, EX. As for Tiers, they go up to Tier 10, but you need all your Skills at the EX Rank for you to enter the next Tier. Rinse and repeat." I whistled at his explanation, making sure to remember all of this stuff since it's pretty important.
Wait, didn't he mention a Skill Menu?
I bring up the Status Screen again and tap on the Warlock class, but nothing happens. So instead I just think 'Skill Menu' and smile when a new box pops up.
Every power up was all for the Void Light, but I did see that I can unlock Solar and Arc Light with 50 Skill Points each. There's also so any powers for each one of them, so many different Supers too! Like one that lets you shoot a large beam of Void Light, or one that lets you create and shoot dozens of miniature Void Bombs at the same time.
And let's not talk about the very last Skill at the bottom. 'Embodiment of the Void' was it's name, and I believe it explained everything.
Currently I have the Axion Grenade, the Entropic Pull melee, and the normal Nova Bomb as a Super already unlocked, the rest will need Skill Points. As for my current Skill Points, I used five of them to upgrade my Shield, and another five to upgrade my Dexterity. I'll have to upgrade my Aiming too in the future.

"Hey Nur, why is my name Kaera?" I wondered once I noticed my name, which I should have noticed sooner but I've been distracted. I should also finally get this damn box open, all resources are very welcome.
"It's the name of the ship we are in. Kaera One, the first ship that was going to deliver the Neo Exo to Earth." I hummed at that before shrugging. I don't really mind what my name is as long as it sounds good, and I quite like it, so it can stay.
I step away as the side of the metal box finally crumbles on the ground with a loud bang and letting me stare at what was inside it. It was full of cylinders and metallic body parts like arms, heads and others, probably for damaged Exos. As for the cylinders, they seemed to be full of what are probably nanites.
"These things could be very useful if we could study and replicate these." I hummed as I let Nur store everything, even the body parts, they can always be scrapped after all. The nanites are probably for me since I am a Neo Exo, probably when I get damaged, but I am definitely being powered by Light right now, and it can regenerate the lost nanites in case I get damaged. "I should grab an Engineer Class when I can since there is so much technology to harvest and replicate here."
I spent the next few minutes opening a hole inside the boxes and letting Nur fly inside to store everything before I finally left the storage area and walked into the hall from where the Fallen had come from. I'm lucky I wasn't bothered while I was looting the storage area, but I doubt those few Fallen I killed before were alone.
"I forgot to ask, but how long do I have before Canon starts?" I asked Nur quietly, something that I don't really need to do since each one of my steps was making a very loud echoing noise that rang along all of the broken down hall. Everything was frozen, bent or outright destroyed. There were also signs of battle and gunshots here and there, but no decayed corpses.
"We have exactly one year before the Guardian is revived in the Cosmodrome… Do you have any plans for what to do until then?" Nur piped up, his icon appearing onto my visor as I clutched my Hand Cannon closer. I already had a lot of plans, and I was coming with more and more of them as time went by.
"I have a lot of them. The first one is survive and get back to Earth of course. The second one is to find Elsie Bray… or wait until she finds me." Elsie was the only one other than me in this universe to have some sort of meta-knowledge, and I believe that us two working together could do a lot of stuff before the worst comes. We have years until shit kicks the fan, and I have years to build a literal army and raise my power to a high enough level to fight against Worm and Vex Gods.
Guess grabbing that Engineer Class is a priority now. And if I manage to gain SIVA and put it under my control then rebuilding Earth and creating weapons to fight against the incoming threats will be much easier. But of course, this is easier said than done.
A sudden cracking sound makes me pause as I turn to my right, narrowing my eyes towards a frozen section of the wall. I barely manage to see what's frozen inside before the ice shatters, letting out a gray figure that charges towards me with a mechanical groan.
I faintly notice that it's another Neo Exo before pumping three powerful shots into it's chest before pushing it back with a kick and finishing it off with a fourth one, this one to the head.
"Why the fuck are they hostile? How are they even active actually?" These should be some of the Neo Exos that were with me in the storage area since many of the still intact pods were empty. Could the Vex have somehow hacked them or something? Perhaps the nanites? I do know that Vex are capable of doing such things, like how they also slightly controlled Clovis Bray into creating the Exos through the Darkness.
More ice shatters down the hall as three more featureless Neo Exos burst out, but a single Axion Grenade instantly kills them all. If any Fallen or Vex are near they must have definitely heard the gunshots, so I better be careful.
I quickly reload my Hand Cannon, then decide to switch it out to one of the Shock Pistols because they make very little noise somehow. I don't have a lot of ammo for them though, that's too bad.
A sudden loud explosion makes me jump, and I rush at the end of the hallway to peek through the open doorway and into a very large but destroyed and half frozen room, probably the dining room for the passengers. Said dining room was now full of Fallen and Vex just shooting at each other, with the Vex flowing in from a hole in the right side of the room that seems to lead outside.
Three Fallen Captains, one Servitor, a couple of Shanks and several dozen Vandals and Dregs. And the Vex are constantly pouring in through the large hole they blew into the side of the ship, with four Minotaur leading the charge, at least a dozen or less Hobgoblins and dozens of Goblins. It was a loosing battle for the Fallen, but I suddenly get a bit greedy when I see how stacked together the Vex are.
"Hey Nur, is my Super ready?" I whispered as I prepared to throw another grenade, but towards the Fallen instead of the Vex. If I can kill both parties at once that would be fantastic.
"You can throw your Supers whenever you want, there is no cooldown. You just have to make sure your Light reserves don't run out." Well that's actually very fucking amazing!
I take a deep breath before rushing in, throwing the Axion grenade towards the group of Shanks and Drengs before vaulting over some rubble to gain some high ground.
Purple light erupts from my body as I feel an immense wave of energy flow through my body and into my right arm, making me instantly hurl my hand forward and release a large Nova Bomb towards the Vex. The Nova Bomb wasn't that massive, barely two meters wide and big, but the explosion that came into existence once it slammed into a Minotaur was massive!
An immense shock-wave tore the dining room apart, destroying my shield and sending the Fallen flying or smashing into the ground or walls while almost all the Vex had been erased by the Nova Bomb.
This is so exhilarating! But damn, using a Nova Bomb used almost all of my Light, I can feel it almost running out. I wonder if my reserves grown with each level up.
I don't waste time and rush towards one of the stray Fallen Dregs, then use Entropic Pull on it and watch as it's body withers down while I feel invigorated. Whoa, that's scary.
I create another grenade and throw it at the Captain as they got back up while more Vex Goblins poured through the hole, but this time they were far less than before and I believe I can handle them.
The Axion grenade takes out two of the Fallen Captains since the shock-wave from my Nova Bomb destroyed their Shields, then I used the Shock Pistol in my other hand to finish off the last on, followed up by using Entropic Pull on another Dreg that charged at me with a Shock Dagger.
One thing I noticed is that with each kill, my Light reserves go back up a slight bit, kinda similar to how you charge your Super in the game. But I doubt I could fully recharge myself enough to throw another Nova Bomb.
The Axion grenade is incredibly good in such a place, mostly because it has a large range and can target up to five enemies at the same time, and these enemies cannot dodge the Void Bolt that is shot towards them since it follows them. Besides, Entropic Pull helps me recharge enough Light that I am comfortable with throwing out another grenade, which kills multiple enemies each time.
I roll to the side as a blast of Void energy craters the ground where I was crouching, making my eyes narrow towards the large floating Servitor. The bastard tanked quite a few hits from my Axion grenade and is now gunning for me while ignoring the Vex slaughtering the rest of the Fallen.
The 'Eye' is the weak spot of the Servitors, but the fucker has some Vandals and Dregs around it and that will make it harder to hit the spot. To not speak about how my aim isn't absolutely perfect.
I relax slightly when my Shield finally comes back up, giving me enough courage to rush forward and create another Axion grenade, tossing it right under the Servitor and using that chance to use Entropic Pull on two Vandals at the same time, then grab bring up by Hand Cannon the moment the highly damaged Servitor turned towards me just in time to fill it's 'eye' full of bullets.
Turns out that the 'eye' is still their weak point, and it's actually very weak since the very first bullet punched right through the sheen of metal and slammed into the Void powered circuits behind that, causing the Servitor to start buzzing and shaking left and right before it finally crumbled heavily on the ground. I'll have to grab it later, after all it's a source of valuable materials and something I could study later on.
I used Entropic Pull on a charging Vandal, turning it into another withered corpse on the ground before killing another with a few shots to the chest, then threw a grenade in the Vex midst, taking out five of them at once.
A Hobgoblin came in through the hole, and it seems there were no more Vex outside as no more of them came in after that, making me sigh in relief. There's still two dozen of them though, one Hobgoblin and the rest are Goblins, so I decide to thrown yet another grenade in their midst to clear out more of them while I finished off another Fallen with Entropic Pull.
My Melee Skill is actually incredibly useful, especially since it had no cooldown like in the game. Too bad I don't have the Rift skill just yet. It costs just ten Skill Points so I'll probably grab it as soon as I can since it can help me heal my Shield faster.
All this killing has already recharged more than half of my Light reserves so that I could hopefully use another Nova Bomb in case of emergencies, but I'm quickly cut out of my musing when a red beam flies right past my head, melting a hole in the wall behind me.
Jesus, that was close…
Fucking Hobgoblins and their cool as hell beam weapons. I'm chopping off their arms later, I don't give a damn.
I rolled to the side, threw out yet another grenade, then charged forward as three Vex were erased by it. I shattered a Goblin's radiolaria container with my Shock Pistol since my Hand Cannon didn't have a full chamber, then used Entropic Pull on another one as my Shield tanked a few hits while the Goblin I hit with it slowly crumbled into purple motes of light.
I threw out another grenade, rolled back, stood up, and kept up my assault while aiming for the Hobgoblin, gritting my teeth when it suddenly overheated itself and created a heat shield that melted my bullets before they could hit.
I quickly finished off the other Goblins with another grenade and a few more bullets before finally finishing off the lone Hobgoblin with lots more bullets from up close.
"Waking up to this isn't nice at all." I sighed, checked outside for any more threats but only saw an endless frozen tundra around, then went back in and looted everything.
There were a lot of weapons and ammunition for me to grab, and I could store everything since my Inventory is pretty much infinite and can store anything that isn't too big. Too bad that Vex weapons turn out to be just chunks of metal once they are dead, but I'll be able to study them in the future and hopefully either replicate them or make better versions.
Oh right, let me check my status before I go outside.

Holy crap! That's a lot of levels!
Wait, I did kill a lot of enemies, especially strong ones, and being high level doesn't really matter here since I need to care about my Stats and Skills.
The large number of Skill Points is very welcome, so I quickly buy the Healing Rift skill, and then quickly upgrade the rest of my Status to E Rank, which leaves me with six points left that I can't use. Next Rank will need ten Skill Points each, but I want to buy more skills for my Void Warlock Class before upgrading them again. Then I can also buy the other elements of course.

"Say Nur, are there other ways for me to gain Skill Points?" I ask after looking over my new improved status, though I don't really feel that much of a difference. I'll probably notice it in a fight.
"There are. You can gain them by doing Missions that I'll start giving you soon. The rewards of said Missions can be Skill Points or even material goods. Or both." Oh right, I forgot that Gamer Systems can give you missions. Those are going to be very welcome as long as the rewards are quite good. "Speaking of which, here's one."
[A way home.]
Find a still functioning Jumpship and make your way back to Earth.
Reward/s – 20 Skill Points
Now that's easier said than done. Where the fuck do I even find a working Jumpship in this frozen wasteland?!
I suddenly stop, then walk outside through the hole in the wall to check on the ship. It didn't look like it crashed after it was very high up in the air, but it was definitely torn in half and apart on impact as I can see it's debris a bit everywhere while the other half was several hundred meters away.
"Think there will be a shipyard that way?" I muse as I stare towards the horizon, where the other half of the ship was laying. Perhaps beyond that might be the station from where it took off, and hopefully there will be more ships there that I can somehow fix in case they are broken.
"The ship crushed a few minutes after take off… so it's very likely going to be a few kilometers away at most." I click my tongue at that. Fucking Golden Age technology and their super-speed bullshit. This is just so amazing, and all of it was made by a single family, or more like, by a single man.
Clovis Bray was- well, is a monster. Dude's still alive and kicking, in two different bodies at that.
"Well, better get to running then." I pull out my Scout Rifle, take a deep breath, then start running as fast as I could and- holy shit am I fast! This is faster than a car from my old world most definitely!
I stopped running when I reached the site of a large battle, probably the one Nur caused by luring the Fallen against the Vex while coming to bring me back in this cool as hell body.
I can't help but wonder though, if the Neo Exo's aren't a new addition to this universe, then why didn't Clovis Bray put his consciousness inside one of them instead of shipping them off? There's so much stuff I don't fully know about this world, and my knowledge about the future stops at the arrival of the Witch Queen. After that I'll have to wing it, but luckily, that's years in the future and I'll have a lot of time to prepare.
I shake those thoughts away and loot the corpses of anything useful and that I can scrap later on, then resume my run, barely even winded from how fast I ran before. This body can even simulate fatigue, that's just… amazing. I'm speechless.
"We should hurry up, a snowstorm is coming." I hummed and speed up as much as I could, looking towards my left where now an enormous wall of fog was constantly rising while growing closer. I'd give it another half an hour before it reaches me, maybe slightly less.
"I see a building in the distance, I think we can reach it before the storm hits." I point out, glancing towards the slightly visible structure in the distance. There's a lot of fissures in the ground and I have to be careful while running, but luckily I have the double jump booster that lets me kinda fly forward for a bit, so I can avoid falling to my death.
"While you are running, I'll explain a few more things." Nur suddenly pipes up, making me blink before nodding as I focused on the road, while also making sure to listen to what he has to say. "There are many things in this universe that you'll be able to take advantage of, and things that you'll run into. First off, there are 'Boss Areas', where powerful enemies reside. Clearing a Boss Area grants great rewards, be they weapons or materials. Boss Areas are usually the main ship of the Fallen where their Kell resides, or other areas where other high rank members reside. When you enter a Boss Area, you'll be notified and showed the rewards for clearing it."
"Second, there are 'Clash Zones'. Clash Zones are where two or more alien races are in the middle of a territorial fight, and it guarantees the presence of a higher up for each of the races. Killing all three higher ups leads to the flourishing of the territory they were fighting over, and any enemy that enters said territory gets greatly weakened while allies are greatly boosted."
"Third, there are 'World Bosses'. World Bosses are clearly the strongest entities on the Planet or Moon they reside on, and they will only appear when more than half of the Planet has been successfully conquered. Other factors can lead to World Bosses appearing even sooner. Once a World Boss is slain, the enemy presence on that Planet or Moon dwindles greatly, and they are severely weakened while allies are greatly boosted. Alien presence on that Planet on Moon will also slowly disappear if they are constantly pushed back." This… this is just amazing! There are so many ways for me to fix the world and help Humanity push back our enemies and fix the Solar System now! I just need to grow strong enough that I can walk around looking for the Boss Areas and Clash Zones then clear enough of them out to see if that drives out the World Boss. That will also greatly strengthen my fellow Guardians and will help us push the enemies back even more and raise morale.
The first Planet to clear is clearly Earth, because as long as that's cleared I can easily use it as my base to slowly and peacefully spread technology and create my own army so that I can go and fight on other Planets or Moons without worries.
The Moon will be off limits for a while for sure because Crota is sure as hell the World Boss there, or perhaps it's going to be one of the other Worm Gods. Or perhaps a Darkness entity since one of the fucking Pyramids is there!
As long as I can stop their advancement and the building of the Red Keep, then I'll be satisfied.
Then there's the Cabal and the Vex. Those are going to be the hardest for sure. The Cabals are just monsters with pure firepower and numbers, and no fear of death of course. While the Vex are just outright infinite, unless I can build a Paracausal weapon and send it to their home world that is in another reality or whatever. I'll deal with those fucker's when I can, for now, I just need to get back home.
All the running was starting to put a toll on me, but I forced myself to go faster as I saw that the large structure covered in snow and ice was very close now, barely a minute away.
And so was the storm. I could literally hear the roar of the wind already! If that storm reaches me then I sure as hell won't survive!
But luckily, it doesn't reach me in time, and I managed to throw myself through a metal wall to enter the facility, then slump on the floor while the storm rages outside and take long deep breath.
I place the Healing Rift around me, then smile when I feel the fatigue fade away as I sit up, letting Nur come out to light the place.
"Well, at least we hit the jackpot." I smiled, placing my hands on my hips as I stared at the dozens of ships, either hanging or resting on the ground, inside the massive hangar. "Now we just need to find one that still works, or see if we can fix one." I don't hold my hopes up since the place has been clearly scavenged, probably by the Fallen, so they may have taken anything useful from the ships and left us just some scraps.
"Most of the ship hanging from the ceiling still have their Warp Drives. They are old, but we could still use them at least once before we are forced to switch them out." I take that back, the Fallen didn't take everything useful. Finally some good news.
"We have time, so let's thoroughly check everything and see which ship is in the best conditions, then use that." Nur floats up and down, then floats off to check on the ship as I grab my guns and activate the night vision of the helmet, since apparently it can turn on and off. I wonder, is there still electricity here? Nah I doubt it, but I'll keep an eye out just in case. Clovis Bray's stuff is just built different.
"Well, we got a couple of hours since we have to wait for the storm to end, so let's get to work." I sigh, stretch my back, then walk forward to start exploring the hangar and then the rest of the facility.
I can't wait to go home and put my hands on some good food and a beer, else someone is gonna get shot I swear to God.
A.N.: And here it is, my third story cause I couldn't stop myself! Since I was young I always loved astronomy and space related stuff, and then I ran into Nexeon's Destiny Gamer fic and I just knew that I had to write my own, because space is hella cool!
I hope you all enjoyed the first chapter, and I apologize to my regular viewers and followers about my lack of updates for a while. I've been… through a lot, and won't get into details for now, and I am full of stress, so thank you all for being patient.

Now, last but not least. Kaera will need a Fireteam, and I need two Hunters and two Titans OC's, be they males or females. I already have the second Warlock under work. You all can suggest and give your own OC's, or even suggest character from other series since my other Warlock is from Genshin Impact. If you give your own OC, then write out a bit about their past, what element they use the most, their Supers, their Style, likes and dislikes, etc.
Also, feel free to give suggestions about new Grenades and Supers if you want!
