Nashville, Tennesee. January 14, 1988. Afternoon.
It was cold outside in the winter air. It was the year 1988. Nothing really special happened in this year yet. Life was simple back in the mid to late 1980's. People could listen to their music on cassette tapes using Sony Walkmans and they could go literally anywhere in the universe with it. Cable TV was in 96% of households, children played with toys like He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Transformers, Rubik's Cubes etc. People had stylish cars. The list goes on.
In a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee, in a house there lived the Greenwood family. The Greenwood family consisted of four people: 2 adults, and 2 children. 1 male, three females. The females names were Ruth (age 10) her sister Jane (age 14), their mother Isabelle and their father Jack. Ruth Greenwood was Caucasian, as was the rest of her family. She had auburn colored long wiry hair. She had green eyes. She was short. Ruth looked very pretty for her age. Jane Greenwood had light brown hair that was short. It was shoulder length. Jane had hazel eyes.
Ruth and Jane's mother Isabelle Greenwood had fiery auburn hair that was curly. She had blue eyes. And finally, the only male in the Greenwood household, Jack Greenwood, was a tall man. He had wavy dirty blonde hair. He wore glasses. His eyes were green, like his daughter Ruth. None of the Greenwood family knew it yet, but they were about to became the first humans in existence to come in contact with alien life in the real world. An alien creature called a Lombax along with his sidekick robot who came from an entirely different galaxy/universe from our own.
Solana Galaxy. Planet Novalis.
In the far reaches of the Solana galaxy, There was a planet in the galaxy called Novalis. The atmosphere is good. Tall cliffs and mountains dotted the surrounding landscape, partially the remains of an initial impact of a crater. A landing pad is located on top of a small cliff plateau, from where one can access a Gadgetron vendor, the waterworks, and sewer system, as well as a small cave system and an elevator platform that leads to the ground level of the area. A city stood in the distance, several buildings of which were in flames.
In a grassy plateau, there was a creature and a robotic figure standing beside a spaceship. They had recently defeated Dr Nefarious, an alien who was a psychotic and sadistic mad scientist who wanted to wage war on the Solana galaxy. A lombax named Ratchet and a sentient robot named Clank had defeated Dr. Nefarious numerous times in the past.
The creature was called a lombax, a humanoid, feline-like species of renowned engineers that hailed from planet Fastoon in the Polaris Galaxy. They have developed some of the universe's most advanced technology in the form of powerful weaponry and fast spaceships, and had an innate affinity towards machinery. This lombax had yellow fur, two large pointy ears with brown stripes, large hands, flat, triangular clawed feet, and large green eyes. His name was Ratchet. Ratchet's attire normally consisted of pants, gloves, a chest harness, and a belt, and sometimes a short-sleeved shirt with boots.
The robotic creature that stood beside the lombax creature was made of a grey metallic titanium alloy, with large green circular eyes, a red antenna, and small articulated arms and legs with large three-fingered hands and feet. His name was Clank. Clank's original name was B5429671. Clank was a robot that was made in a factory on the planet Quatru. When Clank gained a infobot and upon learning about Chairman Drek's plans, he fled the planet in a stolen starship, crash-landing on the planet Veldin. There, he met Ratchet, who became his lifelong best friend afterward, as they would partake on many adventures.
Ratchet and Clank were in their spaceship. They were getting ready to go somewhere. Where, I don't know. Just some random place.
"Ready to go on an adventure, Clank?" Ratchet asked his robotic best friend.
"Yes." Clank said to Ratchet.
Ratchet fired up his ship and in less than a few seconds, they blasted off into space. They were cruising the cosmos. Ratchet was looking at the infinite blackness and stars of space. Suddenly, a wormhole appeared out of nowhere. Ratchet's ship passed through the wormhole. They saw a blue and green planet in the distance. This was our planet. The planet Earth. Ratchet's ship was burning in Earth's atmosphere. The lombax tried to control the ship. It was speeding fast. The planet's ground became clearer and clearer as the spaceship passed through the Earth's atmosphere. The ground was white. The tops of houses were starting to become visible.
Before Ratchet and Clank had the time to process the situation further, the ship crash landed in the garage of a house in a suburb in the city of Nashville, Tennessee. The spacecraft landed in front of a car. Ratchet and Clank luckily were unharmed. They jumped out of the spaceship just before it hit the garage. Ratchet and Clank landed on the snowy ground. They had no idea what planet they were on. Ratchet got up from the ground. The lombax looked at his robotic pal to see if he was okay. The robot looked okay. Ratchet was relieved at the fact that Clank was okay.
Ratchet saw a house in front of him. A little girl exited the back door of the house. She saw the strange feline like creature that was Ratchet. She walked up to him. She felt his fur. The lombax smiled at the human girl.
"Hi." Ratchet said to the human girl. The human girl immediately freaked out. She ran back inside the house. Ratchet stared ahead into space for a minute. He had no idea that he and Clank had just arrived on the planet Earth in the year 1988. A minute later, a family of Caucasian humans stood out in the backyard. They all had their winter coats on. They looked in amazement at the lombax and the robot.
"What are you?" Isabelle Greenwood asked the lombax creature.
"I'm a lombax. My name is Ratchet. This is my robotic friend Clank." the lombax said to the human family.
"Where am I?" Ratchet asked.
"You're on the planet Earth. You're in the city of Nashville, Tennessee in the year 1988." Jack Greenwood explained to Ratchet and Clank.
"What are you guys?" Ratchet asked the family.
"We're humans." Jane Greenwood said to Ratchet and Clank.
"Cool. It's always nice to meet new creatures from a different planet." Ratchet said.
That's how a lombax and a robot from another dimension met a human family at their home in Nashville Tennessee in the winter of 1988.
