Prompt #17 by jloswomen: "Donna and Harvey are secretly together celebrating Christmas on a zoom call with the PSL family but they forget that people can see them and start kissing"

"Everything's changed"

Donna dared to mumble while laying on Harvey's chest as he was stroking that soft, straight, strawberry hair.

"I know"

He dared to say as he kissed her forehead trying to relieve that sudden nervousness and all the questions the red woman had on her mind.

"Hey… we should get some sleep."

He added as soon as he slowly noticed that Donna's breathing was even heavier since she was too relaxed not only because of the fact that he had that power over her, that power of making her feel safe at home, despite the fact that they never had been together more than a night.

The passionate couple slept the hours that their night left, it was 3 am when both of them were hungry enough that Donna noticed Harvey moving.

"Where are you going?"

Donna asked half asleep as she noticed how he was covering her since that soft pale back was frozen.

"I'm going to make some pancakes, I don't know you, but I'm really hungry."

Harvey whispered, stroking her messy hair as she kept smiling, nodding as she listened to that melody coming out of the lawyer's mouth.

"Strawberries and whipped cream on them."

Donna whispered while yawning trying to keep herself awake even when Harvey kissed her forehead, giving her permission to fall asleep while he cooked their now post sex snack ritual.

Harvey couldn't help but smile at the thought that finally he had come to his senses that night, he had already everything he wanted. Finally, after almost two decades, working every single day with her and still blinded till that night, after hearing Samantha's talk.

He didn't doubt it at all, not till then, he made his way to the place he belonged to, to Donna Roberta Paulsen.

Some minutes later, he finished cooking those pancakes filled with strawberries and lots of whipped cream since he knew she loved strawberries more than pancakes. She just loved how it looked although she also ate some pancakes.

As soon as he managed to take some cutlery and try to not to make any noise because he didn't know if the COO was still asleep, he went back to the red's bedroom.

There she was, deeply asleep hugging her pillow as if that was Harvey. Harvey couldn't help but smile, he laid next to her leaving their pancakes on the bedside table so they could eat them later if Donna was still hungry.

He was careful as he took her back close to his chest since he knew she felt safer and her sleep was way better if she was with him. He knew he had to let her sleep on his chest because he didn't come to his senses sooner, both of them had already wasted so many nights wanting, loving, dreaming, missing each other in separate beds.

Some hours later, it was morning. Donna was still asleep, their alarm went off but they didn't even listen to it since both of them didn't have the intention to leave the field.

Under the bedsheets, everything that both could feel was each other's skin, the intimacy and the warmth that both of them had caused.

By almost eleven, Donna opened her eyes slightly, feeling exhausted but for the very first time, in peace as soon as she remembered the previous night.

Donna stared at the ceiling when suddenly remembered that that day was that idea that came from Louis Litt; an online Zoom meeting of Pearson Specter Litt celebrating Christmas all together.

They were already late.

Donna looked at Harvey who was still sleeping, the COO softly woke the lawyer up who smiled as soon as he saw the redhead standing next to him.

"Good morning, we don't have time to talk. We are already late and we need to think about something."

Donna spoke as fast as her thoughts were coming up once again about the previous night, THE NIGHT, after more than a decade, just them again, skin to skin, her favorite place in that cruel world.

"Hey… slow down. We got this, what do you want? Look, I can leave your home and we can still do that celebration both separated"

Harvey said holding her hands while caressing them with his thumbs, trying at least to calm her down as those words got stuck on her head, separated, she wouldn't be able to bear with that, not after enjoying that night, their intimacy, their own space.

"I… I don't want you to go.. I… I need you to stay here."

Donna stuttered as Harvey couldn't help but nodding as he giggled as soon as he realized how cute it was the fact that she was nervous, for the very first time, she was almost speechless.

"Look at you, you're stuttering, aren't you?"

Harvey said as she was blushing while Harvey just pecked her lips and smiled, admiring how messy and perfect his favorite redhead looked.

"I have a… I have a guest room so you can go there and…"

Donna mumbled as she got up and held Harvey's hands smirking. Then, he led him to the guest room, that room, the only separate space she allowed between them.

"Did I tell you that I don't want to attend that Zoom and just stay like that?"

Harvey complained while hiding his head in her neck while kissing it as Donna kept smiling relieved.

"I know but it's Louis, we don't have time for making excuses."

Donna giggled as she looked at the hour and kissed his lips again as they finally minutes later, both of them had joined the Zoom reunion, on different times, so it didn't seem suspicious.

"THERE YOU BOTH ARE! Where the hell have you been? We were all waiting for you!"

Louis yelled as he kept caressing his cat while drinking one of those bizarre juices he used to prepare.

"You better have had fun while missing this."

Jessica dared to say as Jeff made an appearance on the screen with some traditional Christmas snacks.

"Happy Christmas everyone!"

Rachel and Mike dared to say wearing those Santa Claus hats as they kissed softly in front of everyone.

That kiss made everyone smile but Harvey and Donna couldn't stop thinking about each other, as the conversations were going on and around that cheerful environment that due to the pandemic, they weren't able to do their yearly Christmas celebration but that didn't stop Pearson Specter Litt to keep celebrating as a family, as a whole.

Donna changed her place so she took her iPad with her to the kitchen. She had already bought the ingredients she needed to cook those cookies that her mother used to do every time that was Christmas time. Her mother didn't buy fondant or any other stuff to decorate since she allowed her daughters, Donna and Donna's sister to decorate it with anything that was at home; Skittles, caramel syrup, sprinkles… anything that could come inside two tiny redheads' minds.

"Which receipt are you following?"

Mike asked since he was curious, he didn't know that Donna could cook. She didn't look like it, in fact she loved cooking. Harvey only paid attention when something was about her, the love of her life, he used to get bored of that kind of reunions despite the fact that he only attended them because he was obligated by her, he just wanted to please her and make her happy.

"I am doing my mom's receipt. She used to cook us cookies at Christmas and my sister and I used to decorate them and then eat them instead of saving for the guests. My mom always got mad but she always enjoyed watching us eating."

Donna said while she was mixing all the ingredients she needed as some Christmas songs were playing on from her Spotify playlist she had previously created.

Harvey left the guest room for a moment but no one noticed since everyone was still chatting about family traditions and sharing some memories and goofy stories. He went to the kitchen, he wasn't in the mood to admire such beauty from the guest room when he could just enjoy the view of herself on that kitchen.

He sat there, without saying any words without Donna noticing him since she was very focused on doing the same receipt her mom did, those cookies weren't easy to be made because of the memories. Her death was all of a sudden and Donna never assumed it completely.

Harvey couldn't help but notice that it was time to let her know that both of them would be doing cookies, he knew everything about her, both of them knew everything about each other.

Harvey and Donna had been flirting with each other for the past few months but nothing serious had happened except for the previous night.

The lawyer approached slowly to the distracted COO and without caring about the people who were in that Zoom, he kissed her, softly making her feel at home again, everyone stopped talking, they were all staring at them and Harvey and Donna were in their own world.

They were still kissing when Mike decided to break that silence of that meeting.

"I think kissing classes are not in this meeting. You both should get a room or a hotel room."

Then, it was Louis, the one who was trying to think about everything that started to make sense at that moment.

"Wait, so this is the reason why you both were late. You both are at the same house."

Louis was surprised by the fact that he couldn't recognize the room where Harvey had been the moment before he went and kissed Donna's lips.

"Donna is more than a reason."

Harvey dared to state as he smiled widely after Donna rested her head on his shoulder while admiring him and listening to every single word he was saying.

"You know I love you, right?"

Donna dared to say as she kept preparing those cookies and everyone else kept talking around and joking while she told Harvey what he had to do to help with the cookies.

As soon as Harvey was helping, he didn't miss the chance to become that naughty boy he used to be when he was in kindergarten, he stained Donna's nose as soon as he noticed that Donna was checking on him.

Of course Donna didn't ignore what he had done so she took revenge for that, she stained his nose back and then kept herself in that conversation about food.

Harvey enjoyed the game so since she had stained his nose, Harvey threw to her some sprinkles over that long and soft strawberry hair.

"You look so beautiful."

He dared to say even if that sounded like a joke, deeply, to him she was absolutely perfect in his eyes.

"Actually, you know that you will clean all this mess, right?"

Donna dared to say as she broke an egg over his head and couldn't help but laugh at him as he started to laugh and Donna looked at the camera confidently still laughing.

"Sorry everyone, happy Christmas, at home there's a war so we can't be at this meeting."

Donna said as Harvey wrapped his arms around her and did the same thing she had done to him previously.

"It's her fault!"

Harvey dared to yell as he wrapped his arms around her waist tickling her stomach as she tried to exit the meeting.

As soon as both were alone, Harvey looked at her, listened to the melody of her laughter and he knew it, again, she was the one.

His family was right, everyone was right about her and for the first time, any money, any friends or any material object could compare with how fortunate he felt for being the one that Donna loved.

Donna noticed that he was staring at her again, still laughing since he wasn't stopping at all.

"Is there anything on my face?"

Donna asked almost out of breath trying to articulate a question although her stomach was aching from all that laughter that only him could cause.

"I love you."

Harvey mumbled as both of them leaned into each other's lips to kiss them, softly, making it once again special as if it was their first time. That war ended and that only taught them that only the sweetness of cookies and family traditions with love could only win.

Since then, every single year both of them had to shower after throwing each other's food while making cookies that were never made. The couple always ended up going to her favorite bakery to buy them instead.
