In Manic's Camper Van, Outskirts of Planet Mobius
Having been lost from his birth family for a long time, Miles Prower, otherwise known by all as Tails, was grateful to have a big brother in the green-furred hero of Mobius, Manic the Hedgehog, who had protected and guided the two tailed orange fox since they first met. In spite of the danger that came with fighting against the Badniks of Doctor Ivo Robotnik as well as the difficulties that came with living a mobile lifestyle in the Camper Van, Tails always loved being by Manic's side, no matter what.
However, there were two downsides to living with Manic. Although Manic himself had pointed out to Tails that he did not have to be too influenced by him, the hedgehog was a notorious master hacker and thief, and while he had tried to limit himself to just stealing from bad people like Robotnik, it was common for Tails to see his adoptive brother swipe from food markets when no one else was looking. The other downside, though, was happening right in front of him.
"Oh, you were so sweet saving me from those awful robots, Manic," said Manic's newest rescue, a tall, sea-green-furred hedgehog with teal-black quills in a red dress with the evening gloves and high-heeled shoes to match named Breezie. Although Tails could see why Manic found her to be pretty, the former was still incredibly disinterested in romance, and even more, could not help but see a bossy figure behind Breezie's seemingly innocent flirting.
Manic, however, as a shaggier in quills hedgehog wearing an orange vest to match his fanny pack and black spiked wristbands to match his double pierced left ear, was completely whipped to Breezie's charms much to the fox's annoyance. "I always aim to be helpful, Breezie," he replied, being flattered and lovestruck at the same time. He then quickly collected himself to tell Breezie, "Well, since you're here, we'd be happy to have you for lunch. I hope you don't mind chili dogs."
Taking a quick glance at the microwave and her surroundings in the Van itself, Breezie said in response, "Well, I do enjoy chili dogs and prefer dining in, so yes, but-," her words were caught off, however, ironically by Manic himself when he snapped his fingers in remembrance.
"Oh, that reminds me," he exclaimed as he headed to his bunk in the Van. Breezie's facial expression of annoyance at being interrupted softened into one of awe, though, when Manic revealed a gold locket that he showed to her.
Recognizing the locket, Tails asked in surprise, "Wait, Manic, haven't you been saving that for a special occasion?"
Turning a smile to his direction, Manic replied, "Doesn't meeting a special lady count as such an occasion, little bro?"
Manic then placed it around Breezie's neck, who was still in surprise at the gift. Looking at it closely, she said with a genuine smile, "It's beautiful, Manic. You're the first to have ever given me such a present."
"Just give me a good amount of time, and I'll even make a song just for you," Manic replied with a noticeable blush.
Breezie gasped at the sincerity in Manic's words and began to cry which even got Tails concerned. "Are you okay," he asked.
"No," Breezie admitted before adding, "I wasn't built for this kind of thing."
"Built," both brothers asked in confusion at her choice of words.
Manic, however, quickly concluded as he asked in surprise, "You're a Badnik yourself?"
Breezie was still crying as she confirmed, "Robotnik created me to distract you, Manic, but now I'm so confused."
Walking towards her, Manic kindly offer a handkerchief to wipe her tears away as he soothingly told her with a reassuring smile, "Hey, it's okay, Breezie. You can join our side now."
Tails nodded at his brother's words. "Yeah," he exclaimed and then, a thought came to him as he asked, "But wait, what did Robotnik want Manic distracted from?"
Breezie gasped in remembrance. "Oh, no," she shouted in dismay before turning to Manic. "Manic, you should head to the Mobius Reservoir in case Robotnik is already on his way to rupture it!"
Showing a serious look at the defected Badnik's words, Manic turned to get his red and yellow hoverboard, but before he left he turned to Tails to say, "Keep an eye on Breezie, Tails. Starting here and now, you're the man of the Van."
"Right," Tails saluted on instinct before turning away in disgust as Manic pulled Breezie in a sweet kiss. "Yuck!"
Once he was satisfied and certain that Breezie had stopped crying, Manic then made his way out of the Van and flew on his hoverboard to bring the fight to Robotnik himself.
Hearing Breezie sigh in relief, Tails turned to the former as she said, "That is one special hedgehog.
Showing a small smile himself, Tails could agree with her words completely.

On DeviantArt, KitareHamakura has a Sister Swap AU of Sonia the Hedgehog from Sonic Underground filling in for Sonic throughout the franchise, and I figured that the other Underground-exclusive sibling, Manic, deserved some attention as well. FanFictionNet writer, Ieju, helped me figure out some romance options for Manic as well depending on the continuity, but we shall see how far I can go before I decide that enough is enough.
Anyway, while I know Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog featured the Blue Blur get Jim Kirk's kind of luck with women to a degree, I figured that Breezie would be the most doable since I figured that Manic would not be pulled away at her being a Badnik than Sonic was since he did seem to have a thing for the Doo Bot from Underground, who also felt workable enough to me.
I know that this was a bit short, but I just wanted to get my point across for the sake of argument.
Also, seeing as how the first two animated Sonic series lacked Knuckles, I can imagine that if Sonia was the main protagonist in Sonic's place, the closest love interests she could get in those shows are a masculine version of Breezie that I would personally coin as "Blizzard" in Adventures, and a literally self-improving Antione in SATAM as a reflection of her relationship with Bartleby in Underground. Best that I could come up with, anyway.
