Humorous idea I got tonight. Special thanks to fellow authors Sweet Cari and Bad Habits for the inspiration!
It's hastily written, and poorly edited... enjoy!
"Rrrraaaarrrggghhh!" the scream of pain and rage echoed throughout the mall, as Christmas carols gently played over the loudspeakers. Near the food court, in the center of the mall children were lined up, pushing against each other in hopes of getting to Santa all the quicker.
"Hey, no shoving!" a high-pitched female voice shouted, as a large red and purple, half-human/half-spider woman in an elf's hat started to jingle towards two children in line.
"Enough Arukenimon," a tired voice said as a grey-skinned human in a long, dark purple trench coat put a hand on her arm, stopping her. An elf hat rested on his head as well. "They're not hurting each other."
"Yes Master," Arukenimon grumbled as she returned to her post at the head of the line, next to her master Oikawa.
"Next," Oikawa said, as he ushered the next child through the gate of the mall's "winter wonderland" to see Santa. Though Arukenimon was practically crawling on the walls from her desire to get as far away from this place as she could, Oikawa at least had resigned himself to his miserable duties as Santa's head elf.
"Oh, come on you two, lighten up!" sang a large man covered in bandages, as he danced around the children. "It's Christmas!"
Unlike Oikawa and Arukenimon, Mummymon seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself. In addition to the same elf hat the other two wore, Mummymon was also wearing a green and red elf's tunic with bells around the collar, and bright green shoes with bells on the toes. A black belt with a large gold buckle circled the tunic. He was happily dancing along the line, handing out candy canes to the delighted children.
As it looked like she was about to say something to Mummymon, Oikawa shot her a glare, and the remark died in her throat.
"Rrraaarrrggghhh!" the anguished scream echoed through the mall again.
"Next," Oikawa sighed again, and ushered the next child through the gate.
The little girl gasped in excitement as she passed the gate and caught sight of Santa, and rushed up to him. The large – very large – blue man towered over her as an eleven-year-old girl in a pink and white shirt, yellow shorts, and an elf's hat helped her into his lap.
Santa was wearing a lopsided Santa hat, and a fake beard that was practically falling off at this point, all over top of a large, demonic looking red mask. He forced an obviously fake smile, filled with long pointy teeth, onto his face as he looked down at the little girl.
"And what do you want for Christmas, path–" he started, before a boy in a dark blue long-sleeved shirt under a lighter blue vest cut him off. While he was wearing an elf's hat as well, for some reason he was also wearing a pair of goggles over top of it. A small blue dragon with a white stomach stood next to him.
"Hey!" interrupted the boy, Davis. "What did we say about calling people pathetic?"
Gritting his teeth, Santa started again.
"And what do you want for Christmas…" he glanced down to Davis and the girl, Kari, before growling "… little girl."
"I want a pony!" the little girl exclaimed, as she bounced up and down in excitement.
Several seconds passed as Santa grumbled to himself, then Veemon – the little blue dragon – nudged him in the leg and tried, but failed, to whisper "Go on, say the line!"
"Have you been a good… little girl this year?" he asked.
"Yes, I have Santa!" the little girl replied, grinning from ear to ear.
"Very well then," he growled through clenched teeth. "I'll see what I can do for you."
"Thank you, Santa!" The little girl exclaimed, standing herself up on Santa's leg and hugging him around the waist.
"Rrraaarrrggghhh!" Santa's anguished scream echoed throughout the mall once more, and the little girl got down and happily skipped to the exit.
Water suddenly sprayed him in the face, causing the fake beard to loosen a little more.
"Oh, be quiet!" the small white cat – Gatomon – said, while sitting upon his shoulder. "You should be glad you're doing community service. If it was up to me, you would've gotten a much harsher punishment!"
When it looked like he was about to respond, Gatomon sprayed him in the face again with her spray bottle.
Hope you all liked it! Constructive criticism is always welcome!
