HERO! LET'S GO!
One Guardian Man
Chapter 1: Meet Guardian; the Hero for the Heck of It
Location
City-A
It was a beautiful, normal day in City-A as citizens go about in their usual daily activities. The skyscrapers nearly shaded the whole city, and the subway and monorail were going to and from everywhere. It all seemed peaceful.
Until…
Ka-Blam!
Suddenly a large explosion occurred at the center of the city, causing a huge crater to appear as an earthquake rang out and destroyed nearby buildings as a large purple creature stood in the middle crater, and looks at the chaos that he made with a sinister grin on his face. The tall being is a large, 6'7-feet-tall, purple, hairless humanoid with two rounded antennae on his head, red eyes, and a bare naked muscular body with no reproductive organs to show, but oddly enough, showed his butt crack. His name, or rather his designation, was Vaccine Man.
Vaccine Man then looked up at the cloudy blue sky as he grunted slightly, and a huge pink aura covered his body, as the purple-skinned monster took off into the air at supersonic speeds and hovered in mid-air as he grinned down at the city evilly. And the citizens of City-A could only watch in horror as Vaccine Man created three glowing orbs around him. And then threw them towards the rest of the city as more explosions and mayhem occurred.
Meanwhile
Hero Association HQ
The Hero Association Headquarters was a large black office building that almost rivaled the World Trade Center buildings. They were an organization founded by the multi-millionaire Agoni that managed all of the cities' heroes. It operated independently of the Government Agoni also established the National Hero Registry: the database that embraced every recognized hero. The HA used a hierarchical class system to organize its heroes, with 4 Classes and individually numbered ranks within the respective Classes, ranging in C, B, A, and S being the best.
Inside, an alarm blaring across the building sounded off, as within a control room, a bunch of people responding to the alarm as they were monitoring the situation.
"It's closing in!" One of the Hero Association workers shouted while watching a video feed of Vaccine Man floating down to the ground as the monster slowly made his way further into City-A.
One of the HA workers asked, "Who's available?"
A female HA worker shouted, "We have word that Lightning Max and Smile Man are on their way!"
Back in City-A
Vaccine Man was walking away from the ruins of a downed building. Though within the rubble or resting in it were two individuals. One of them was a lean msucluar man with short brown hair that peaked out from his headcover, and wore a red bodysuit and a black mask with a yellow belt, tights, boots, and gloves, and had a yellow smiley face on the chest. The other fellow with his butt sticking up in the air was a young man with blonde hair that was slicked back and tapered to a point. He had a prominent widow's peak, relatively thick eyebrows, dark lines around his eyes, and a lightning symbol on his left cheek. He wore a tight-fitting outfit that consisted of a tank top, shorts, long socks and sleeves that went from mid-bicep to mid-forearm. His hero outfit was black with yellow lining, and lightning symbols emblazoned on all the pieces of his outfit. They were the heroes, Smileman and Lightning Max, both A-Class Heroes. Though sadly, they were easily defeated the A-Class heroes as Vaccine Man continued raining death and destruction into the city.
"As you can see, loud explosions are going off behind me!" A news reporter shouted while standing in the middle of Vaccine Man's rampage as millions of civilians ran past him and his news crew as more explosions occurred. "The damage left by the monster is at an unprecedented scale! The hero Association is currently analyzing the threat level to-," He said before getting interrupted by a white and blue blur that shot past him and his crew as it produced a large gust of wind that blew everyone off and back onto the ground. The news reporter recovered quickly as he stood up and looked around in confusion as he scratched his head and turned to his news crew. "What the…? What just happened?" He asked as they shrugged.
Meanwhile
Elsewhere, a bruised and scared little girl slowly walked across the ruins of City-A as she looked around the destroyed area and trembled in fear as she began crying.
"Daddy! Mommy!" The poor, traumatized little girl cried out as she began sobbing.
Suddenly, Vaccine Man appeared out of nowhere as he spotted the little crying girl and walked over to her as he extended his hand and it may have seemed like he was trying to help her. But it turned out to be a ruse as Vaccine Man's hand suddenly grew three times its size and unsheathed his sharp claws. Grinning maliciously, Vaccine Man reached his enlarged hand over to the little girl.. She turned around, and saw Vaccine Man reaching out to her, about to kill her, as her crying now was reduced to a whimper, as she paled at the inevitable outcome of her death. He was about to gleefully crush the little girl in his iron grip when suddenly a white and blue blur appeared as it grabbed the girl and sped her to safety as Vaccine Man blinked in surprise.
"What the…? What was that," Vaccine Man asked himself confusedly as he saw the blur go to a certain destination.
Far from Vaccine Man
The blur and see it speeding across the ruins of City-A as the blur spotted a nearby evacuation shelter and ran towards the building. Stopping near the entrance, the blur placed the little girl down on the floor as she sniffled and looked up at her savior as the kid saw who it was that saved her.
He was a twenty-three-year-old young man standing 5'7" with blue eyes, platinum white hair that was spikey but combed to the left, though still spikey, small nose, sharp chin, Caucasian, lean muscular build like an athletic runner or swimmer. His outfit consisted of a light blue turtleneck long-sleeve shirt with a white locket pendant the size of a quarter, with equally light blue pants, with a white jacket with the back having a V light blue pattern at the upper back, a light blue hoodie, white chest armor, and a white utility belt around the waist, with the tail coat ending at his knees in the shape of a tuxedo tailcoat. The shoulders had light blue and white trimmed shoulder pads, the sleeves had light blue armor, with the sleeves ending at the elbows with white elbow guards, and the tailcoat had a light blue line going down in the back. He also had light blue gloves with white wristbands and white backhand guards, with white fingers. His feet had white and light blue armored boots and kneepads as well. And to complete his look was a pair of blue visor glasses also hiding his ears behind white and blue earphones.
He bent down and smiled as he looked at the girl face to face, and wiped her tears away, "It's a good thing I was in the neighborhood after running back from Italy. You okay, lil' lady," he asked with a warm smile.
The little girl was a bit surprised by this guy. She didn't know much about the heroes but this guy wasn't among the ones that she heard about. She thought he was the hero, Blast, but he wore a cape, and had a B insignia on his chest. But this guy didn't have any of that on him.
The gentleman blinked, as he asked, "Little girl?"
The girl snapped out of her thoughts, but genuinely smiled as she nodded, "Yes, I'm fine, sir."
He smiled and nodded as he stood up, "Good to hear. But what were you doing in a war zone like that?"
The little girl frowned and looked down. Remembering what had happened. "I got separated from my Mommy and Daddy during the attack. I-I don't know where they are." The little girl said as she broke down crying again.
But the white-haired fellah gently patted her head, "Don't fret, kiddo. I promise your parents will be found soon, um… what's your name?"
"S-Sayaka," she replied.
"Well then, Sayaka. I'm gonna stop that big purple nudist and I'm sure your parents will be alright," the fellah said, as a looming shadow popped up behind him. Sayaka paled at this, as the shelter occupants did so as well. The man's tone didn't disappear as he sighed, "And the purple nudist is right behind me, isn't he?"
"Hard to consider myself a nudist when clothes aren't optional for a being like myself," Vaccine Man stated. The white haired man didn't move an inch, but he taunted, "For a human, you're rather fast. So who are you?"
The white-haired fellah turned around, but struck a smirk as he answered, rather cooly, "I'm Guardian. And I'm just a guy who's a hero for the heck of it."
Vaccine Man didn't seem impressed as he asked, "for the heck of it? Foolish creature!" He then struck his chest to emphasize his status to the strange one, "I AM VACCINE MAN! MOTHER NATURE'S DICIPLE, AND THE RIGHTEOUS FURY OF THE EARTH'S POLLUTIONS TAKING FORM! I AM THE ANTI-BODY THAT WILL WRITHE THE VIRUS THAT IS HUMANITY!"
Guardian blinked as he stated, "Um, I just go by Guardian."
"INSOLENT FOOL! DON'T YOU KNOW YOUR DEATH WHEN YOU SEE IT?!"
Guardian frowned, a she stated, "Sorry, pal. But way worse monsters than you have actually tried."
"You're saying that I rank among weaker monsters? Don't make me laugh," Vaccine Man shouted, as he roared, "You may be faster than any human, but you're no match for Mother Nature's Power! I am VACCINE MAN! I was created by Mother Earth with the sole purpose of eradicating all of humanity from Polluting her precious world, and…!"
"Ugh, you're one of those monsters, aren't you," Guardian asked in annoyance, as Vaccine Man and Sayaka blinked in surprise as he groaned. "A monster or villain that goes on an on about how it was something that mutated you into a monster, and on about how people ruined your life or the world around you. It's either a guy who ate too much crab and became a crab monster, or some car techie that tricked himself out to become a modified car monster. Believe me, I've heard it all, and they all go down the same. From the Crablante guy who wanted to kill a kid with a butt chin from drawing nibbles on his chest, to a guy who runs people over from saying he over-modifies his cars." He sighed, as he crossed his arms, "Haven't you gotten anything better to do with your time than kill people that piss you off?"
"How dare you speak like that when you humans had-"
"And you plan to kill all humans," Guardian replied, stopping him again, while noticing that veins were popping up all over his body, "Your plan's just stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid."
"SHUT UP!" Vaccine Man shouted with his voice became slightly demonic as a pink aura covered his body, and Sayaka shook with fear, as Guardian's eyes widen a little from the sudden burst of energy. But otherwise remained unfazed as Vaccine Man glared at him. "WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE MOTHER'S NATURE PLAN, YOU PATHETIC GERM!?" Vaccine Man shouted as he roared and charged at Guardian as he began throwing multiple fast punches, all of which Guardian seemed to either dodge or catch with ease as he danced around his punches with a smirk, leading Vaccine Man away from the shelter and Sayaka.
"Stand still and die, you little pest!" Vaccine Man yelled as he lifted his arm in the air and grunted as his fist grew ten times its size. Guardian tilted his head in thought as Vaccine Man brought down his giant fist on top of him, and another shockwave rang out that shook the ground violently before dying down as Vaccine Man smirked. "Hmph, that will teach him not to mess with-"
"Man, I thought you were like the others, but I guess I was mistaken," Guardian replied, as he stood beside him… cleaning his nails with a nailfiler. "You almost caught me off guard."
Vaccine Man jumped back in surprise from his sudden appearance, and asked, "How did you…?" But then looked at his hands, "What did you do to my nails?"
Guardian rolled his eyes as he stated, "I cleaned them."
Vaccine Man blinked before growling in anger as he tried to swipe at the unknown hero, only to hit the air as Guardian dodged his attack, and began zipping around the Dragon Ball Z-like monster, leaving after images of himself, as he brought back his right fist, as it glowed white and light blue.
"Anti-Move: Special Series... " Guardian shouted as Vaccine Man stared at the hero unimpressively and scoffed.
"Foolish, human! Do you really think you can defeat me with a glowing fist? I was created by Mother Earth herself! I could survive all of her natural forces with ease! So, you better think of something else to do before I-" Vaccine Man said before grunting as he felt something kick him in his back, and Vaccine Man turned around, only to grunt again as he felt someone kick his back again. "Oh, using dirty tactics, I see? I thought you were supposed to be a hero?" Vaccine Man asked mockingly as he narrowed his eyes and looked around as he saw a white and blue blur coming out and about all around him, as he ran towards him. "FOUND YOU!" Vaccine Man shouted as he created a glowing sphere in his hand and fired a beam that destroyed the blur.
"Ha, ha, ha! I told you, no matter how fast you are, you will never defeat-Ugh!" Vaccine Man gloated before grunting in pain as a certain white and blue blur kicked him across, skidding as he blinked. Guardian was still alive, as he slowly waltzed over, his right fist still glowing, but his left forearm had something. A glowing white and blue shield of energy had formed. It was that move that had saved his life.
"What the?! How are you still alive!?" Vaccine Man asked as Guardian continued to walk to him, his fist glowing brighter and bigger.
"Enough!" Vaccine Man roared out with his eyes glowing red as he sent out a pink shockwave that easily electrified the entire area, causing Guardian to stop in his tracks.
In a blur, Vaccine Man was right in front of him, and loomed over him with a menacing aura.
"How dare you hurt a perfect being like me?! I will show you your place by burning you and your pathetic species to the ground!" Vaccine Man shouted while holding out his hands as he created a giant energy sphere above his head and was about to bring it down onto the city but stopped as Guardian raised his hand.
"Before you destroy us all, I just have one request," Guardian said as Vaccine Man groaned but nodded.
"Fine, what are your final words," Vaccine Man asked with his normal voice as Devil Wind smirked and pointed down.
"I want you to go all out. Hit me with everything you got. And no holding back, no arbitrary percentage. Hit me. Hard. As. You. Can," Guardian emphasized, rather seriously.
Vaccine Man smirked at this, as he started growing in size and Guardian could only watch in calmness as Vaccine Man grew up to 60 feet, and his skin grew darker as his skin/teeth grew longer, and he grew small spikes all around his body.
"YOU PATHETIC HUMAN! DID YOU REALLY THINK THAT YOU CAN TAKE ME OUT THAT EASILY?! WHATEVER YOU THROW AT ME, I WILL BRUSH IT OFF BECAUSE I WAS CREATED BY MOTHER EARTH TO TAKE OUT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU DISEASE-CAUSING BACTERIA!" Vaccine Man shouted angrily with his eyes glowing hot red as Guardian narrowed his eyes, and his face grew serious as his energized fist kept sparking as he pulled back, getting ready to punch him. "AND NO ONE, ESPECIALLY SOME SPEEDY TWERP, WILL STOP ME FROM COMPLETING MOTHER EARTH'S MISSION AND ERADICATING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH!" He shouted furiously as he then rushed over to Guardian and raised his giant arms to smash the little hero, as the being shouted, "NOW, DIE!"
But then Guardian launched his fist out as he said, "BLUE ROCKET FIST!" And aimed his fist right at the center of the torso body.
KA-BLAM-SMASH!
Sayaka had rushed over to see if Guardian was in danger, but was the one to witness as Guardian's attack connected to the creature. A massive white and blue shockwave rang out, as it ruptured the area between Vaccine Man and Guardian, as the beast's remains sprayed all around in a gooey rain. His head and shoulders crashed down, as the beast's face was now contorted in shock, as loud thuds and splats were raining down.
Vaccine Man blinked, as his life was leaving him, and slowly turned to the backside of Guardian, "Speed and Strength… Impossible…" Vaccine Man gasped, as ever second lead him to death, "… I am a force of Mother Nature… What are you…?"
Guardian turned slightly and looked to Vaccine Man's head, and calmly replied, "Well, you might be a Force of Nature, but I'm a Force of Reality."
Once Vaccine Man's entrails stopped raining down, and the being now dead, Guardian turned around, and he saw a stunned Sayaka witness it all. He smiled, as he waved casually at her, "Hey, Sayaka! I beat the bad guy!"
Sayaka's stunned face washed away as her smile had come back out. Her hope restored, as she waved back, "You did! Thank you, Guardian!"
"Sayaka," two adults shouted in surprise/happiness, as the girl turned and saw her parents, a bit haggard but happy, ran to her, as Sayaka gasped and teared up as she ran over to them.
"Mommy! Daddy!" She yelled as she hugged her parents, and they cried as Guardian watched on with a smile on his face.
"Oh, my precious baby! I thought I would never see you again!" her mother shouted while hugging her daughter tightly as her father hugged her dearly with his wife.
Sayaka saw Guardian then speed off to the distance, and smiled at the hero's victory. She would never forget this mysterious but cool hero: Guardian.
City-B
At a convenient store in City B, days after the Vaccine Man attack, things were calm and bustling. Inside a young man of twenty-three, Caucasian, slim but small muscle build, ruffled spikey brown hair and blue eyes, wearing a blue t-shirt, white hoodie jacket with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a green jacket tied around his waist, blue jeans, and green and brown sneakers. He was known as Zach Werrington, and a local um… whatever it was that he did.
But he was accompanied by a young woman. She was 5'6" feet, eighteen years of age, with purple eyes, periwinkle hair that went to her shoulder blades but was done in an upper ponytail with her bangs swept to the left, and bangs dangling on her shoulder blades, B-cup chest, Caucasian pale, slim hourglass figure with a tight butt, long legs, tiny waist, and wore black stockings, black shoes, and wore a black skirt with a violet shirt, with a black and purple jacket that barely covered her midriff, with black belts on either side, and a black wristwatch on her left wrist. Her name was Kylie Grixem, Zach's adopted sister. As well as a partner-in-crime.
She sighed, as she picked up a package of crab for sale, "So this Vaccine Man said he was Nature's way of wiping us out? Kinda stupid."
"Least Mother Nature's trying something out if guys like that pop up," Zach stated, as he looked at the fruits, "We've got oranges, right?"
"Yeah, we just needed dragon fruit," Kylie told him, as she pushed the cart. As they walked, she then asked, "So I'm guessing nobody saw you again, en? It's been like this for five years since the Crablante incident."
"It's not all that bad," Zach stated. "At least I can do my job and just be a hero for the heck of it."
"Yeah, but everybody's calling you the Blur, or the Geezer Wonder," Kylie stated, and frowned at him, "They should at least know the name, Guardian."
Zach, who was revealed to be Guardian, shrugged, "I'm not big on being known. If I start having fans, they'll chase after me, then I have to worry about people getting hurt. And even more so, I worry some weirdo's gonna ask to be my sidekick." He then sighed as he looked to the side, "I'm just glad the Heor Association hasn't found me at all."
"I still don't know why you are so hesitant about joining the Hero Association. You could do a lot more good with them than without them." Kylie said, as Zach rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
"They're the last people I wanna get help or work from," Zach replied. "I'm doing pretty good on my own so far. Not to mention I don't like going through all those meetings and desk stuff. That's like my worst nightmare."
"Oh, come on! With your speed, strength, power, defensive durability, and experience, I'm pretty sure that you'd make it in S-Class with no problem." Kylie said matter-of-factly as Zach smiled amusedly and nudged her.
"Thanks for the compliment, sis, but it won't change my mind," Zach said, as Kylie pouted. Zach saw it as they were in line for the counter, and he frowned as he gave her a serious look. "Look, Kylie, you know why I won't join the Hero Association. I don't approve of their methods." Zach said, before it was their turn to pay, as his adopted sister rolled her eyes.
"If by methods, you mean fame and glory, right," She asked as Zach stopped walking and sighed as he turned to her.
"I don't do this for fame and money, sis. I'm just a guy that likes to be a hero for the heck of it. Nothing more and nothing less," He said as Kylie rolled her eyes and smiled slightly.
"Yeah, yeah, I know, it's just that it would be nice to see people finally giving you the recognition that you deserve after five years of crime-fighting. And, hey, maybe I could get some recognition as well." Kylie said hopefully as Zach raised an eyebrow at her, and she gave him an offended look. "What? I deserve some praise, as well. Who was the one that created your suit, built the gear, and help you locate the bad guys?" She asked sassily as Zach smiled amusedly.
"I know, I'm just messing you," he smirked. "But I'm still not joining the Hero Association though."
CRASH
CRASH
The whole place shook, as they heard footsteps, and everyone was panicking, as the front of the store was smashed down, while everyone fled for cover and safety. Both Zach and Kylie rushed over as they saw the crash spot. It was in the form… of a giant human footprint. The two looked as stomping away… was a giant naked man.
Zach blinked, "Is that a… giant naked man?"
Kylie blinked, "yeah, I think so."
"Huh, never got to fight a giant before. Let's see how it plays out," Zach smirked, as his hair suddenly turned white, "Wish me luck!" And then suddenly zoomed out of there, as Kylie looked to see him speed off. But she didn't mind his rushness as she looked on with worry.
"Be safe you big goof," Kylie said, as she looked out to see what was happening.
Outside
Thousands of screaming people running to safety as Zach, now suited up as Guardian, frowned and zipped further into the city as he stopped in the middle of the city and looked up as his jaw dropped at what he saw. Towering over him was an 885-foot monster that resembled a human being without skin as he had red eyes, a white bone-like armor that covered his enormous muscles, most of his skeleton and muscle tissue were visible, including his tendons, and has two giant tubes protruding from his chest that ran over his shoulders to his back. This towering beast was known simply as… Marugori.
"Kylie, are you seeing this?" Guardian asked while activating his earpiece as multiple people ran past him, giving him strange looks, but otherwise continued running as they had better things to worry about than a weirdo in a blue and white getup.
"Yeah, I do, and he's freaking huge!"
"Understatement of the century, sis. He's not even wearing any pants."
"That's what got you concerned? You should me more concerned with how you'll beat him! The monster's too big for any of your attacks to take effect on him. Hmmm, maybe if you run up to his head and go through his ear, you could blow his brains out with an Anti-Matter shot" Kylie suggested.
Guardian's face paled, and he gagged, "Yeah, no. I had seen enough monster guts for one day."
"Then what are you going to do," she asked as Guardian sighed.
And shrugged, "Improvise."
"You're going to do what!?"
"What? It's worked before."
"Yeah, right after you knock them out," she argued, but then sighed, ""Fine, but just be careful," Kylie sighed.
"When I'm ever not, Kylie?"
"Well-"
"You know what, don't answer that," Guardian said, as he shut off his earpiece and looked up at the monster as he took a deep breath.
"This is incredible, little brother!" A young man said while standing on Marugori's shoulder as he looked down at the destruction his brother caused with a sadistic look on his face. The young man was a slim 34-year-old man with brown eyes, pale skin, and thin black hair that was parted in the middle and draped along the sides of his face. His outfit consisted of a long white lab coat, a black shirt, black pants, and black shoes. His name was Fukegao, Marugori's older brother and brains of the operation.
"I never thought it would work so well," Fukegao said to himself while staring at the empty vial in his hands with a grin on his face.
Earlier that day, he had created a serum marked 'the ultimate steroid' known as Biceps King, that when injected, allowed a person to become stronger than ever imaginable, and he decided to test it on his little brother, and so far, the serum was a success... besides the whole growing thing and his skin turning inside out, but otherwise, the operation was a success.
"Yes, it's more than I ever imagined, big brother," Marugori said as he then stared at his hand and clenched it tightly as he smirked mentally. "My goal was to become the strongest man in the world. That was my dream. But in this world where superhuman and monstrous beings exist, my goals have turned into a fool's dream." He thought to himself before turning to his smirking brother as he smiled. "But thanks to big bro, I had finally achieved my dream and became the strongest man in the world!" He thought to himself happily as Fukegao laughed manically.
"This is marvelous, little brother! With your brawn and my brain, conquering the Earth will be a snap! We will become kings of the planet!" Fukegao shouted as he then looked down at City-B and grinned darkly as he turned to his brother's giant head, not noticing a familiar white and blue blur running up Marugori's body as he made his way to the giant's shoulders. "Now, as a warning to the monkeys below, show them your real power, and destroy City-B!" He yelled with an evil laugh as Marugori grinned and nodded as he reared back his giant hand.
"By combining the greatest of minds with the greatest of bodies, we will conquer this world and become King's of the Earth! And there's nothing anyone can do about it!" Fukagao said as he laughed maniacally.
"That's your game plan?"
Fukagao blinked, as he looked to his brother's left shoulder… and saw Guardian sitting there as he asked, "Your brother's doing all the work, I doubt you're contributing anything."
"Eh!? There's someone on your shoulder!" Fukagao shouted while pointing at him as Guardian caught his breath and stood up straight as he smiled at the duo.
"Yo, name's Guardian. A guy who's a hero for the heck of it," Guardian asked as Fukegao gave him a blank look, and Marugori stayed silent. "Also, big guy… get some pants or underwear. You're traumatizing a ton of girls with you flashing your titanic junk around."
Fukagao raised an eyebrow at him in disbelief while Marugori remained unresponsive.
Until finally, Fukagao shouted, "Marugori! Kill the guy standing on your shoulder!"
Marugori raised his hand and swatted his right shoulder.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Um, should someone tell him that he swatted the wrong shoulder," Kylie asked, watching the scene with a purple flying drone that watched the whole battle.
"Give him a minute," Guardian replied.
Marugori heard him and looked down at his hand as he saw the bloody remains of his brother.
"...BROTHER NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Marugori roared in anguish with Guardian covering his ears from the loud yell as Marugori began crying. "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!? I JUST WANTED TO BE STRONG! ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS TO BECOME THE STRONGEST MAN IN THE WORLD, AND NOW THAT I AM, I KILLED MY OWN BROTHER!" Marugori cried out in agony while sobbing as Guardian watched him sympathetically.
"Aw, now I feel bad for him. He didn't mean to kill his brother," Guardian said. Noticing him staring, Marugori felt his blood boil in anger as he growled and grabbed him in a firm grip. "Agh! Okay, not feeling bad for him anymore!" Guardian shouted while grunting in extreme pain as he felt his bones almost break from the monster's grip.
"I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE, BUT IT'S YOUR FAULT THAT MY BROTHER IS DEAD! YOU'RE GONNA PAY!" Marugori screamed in anger as he threw the boy to a nearby building as he crashed against the building as it exploded. Leaving behind a huge crater as Guardian groaned as he crashed on the ground and cursed in pain as he rubbed his shoulder.
"ZACH! Are you alright!?" Kylie asked, alarmed as Zach panted, but mustered enough strength to reach over to his earpiece as he turned it on.
"Yeah, I'm alright. Though I think the giant's going through anger," Guardian said, before he saw Marugori leaping into the air. "Oh boy.."
The giant monster dropped down on him, creating a huge shockwave that Marugori stood up as he glared down at the unhurt Guardian.
"I AM THE STRONGEST! BEHOLD OUR BROTHERLY POWER!" Marugori shouted as he began raining down lightning-fast punches at Guardian.
Kylie could only watch in horror from her drone as the monster continued delivering his devastating assault before finishing it off with one last humongous punch that caused a massive explosion to occur as it could be seen from hundreds of miles away. Once the dust settled, Kylie's eyes widen in shock as she saw an enormous gaping hole in the ground, right where Guardian used to be as she gasped and grit her teeth in anger as she looked up at the panting giant with a glare as her eyes through the drone's eyes.
"I am the strongest," Marugori said tiredly as he glanced at his hand and saw his brother's bloody remains as he froze and teared up. "...So what? It feels empty." Marugori said melancholy.
When suddenly, Kylie's drone spotted a shift in the ground as she narrowed her eyes and gasped in shock as she saw an unharmed Guardian standing up from the rubble and looked up at the monster with a rare sympathetic look.
"I know, right?" Guardian asked, bringing Marugori attention as the white-haired hero crouched down and then leaped towards the giant monster at fast speeds. "Having overwhelming strength is awesome. But if you're not careful and don't learn restraint..." Guardian started as he zeroed in on Marugori's face and delivered an uppercut so hard that it nearly ripped the monster's head from his body as he was knocked out cold, teeth falling out of his mouth. "... it gets pretty annoying," Guardian finished blankly as gravity took hold of them, and they both began falling.
"HOLY SHIT, BRO! YOU DID IT," Kylie screamed in the earpiece, relieved that her brother survived but was victorious once again.
But suddenly, the giant crashed onto the rubble of the city, as the crash caused more devestation to the ruins. As Guardian landed ona building ledge, as he paled, "Yeah, I did it alright. Hopefully everyone evacuated."
Later On
Hero Association's HQ
Board Meeting
"The monster was kille," Bearded Worker said while attending a board meeting with the rest of the HA employees, as he showed them a video of Marugori rampaging across City-B before getting killed by a mysterious figure as Bearded Worker paused the TV and turned to his colleagues as they stared at the screen curiously.
"Who killed it?"
"We were unsure at first, but after sending a few Scouters, we found out that it was King who killed the giant," Bearded Worker said as he pulled out a remote and pressed a button as the video on the TV was replaced with an image of the famous S-Class Hero, King, standing nearby the monster with a freaked-out expression on his face, although they couldn't see it due to his back being turned to the camera.
"So, you called in a meeting just to tell us that King killed another monster? Haven't you anything better to tell us," A bored employee asked dully as Bearded Worker shakes his head.
"No, I organized this meeting because the Blur was spotted on the battlefield," He said as Bored Employee raised an eyebrow while everybody grew tense, as Bearded Worker replaced the video on the TV with another video of a blue and white image blur running up Marugori's body.
"Earlier today, our satellite had spotted the Blur confronting the monster but failed," Bearded Worker said as he pressed a button on his remote and showed a video of Marugori grabbing Guardian as he then threw him to a building. "Luckily, King was there to kill the monster." He said while showing another video of 'King' flying towards the giant monster as he threw a punch that dislocated the monster's head from his body and sent him crashing down in defeat.
"So, Blur tried to fight against the monster and failed, huh? I guess he's not as powerful as we thought he would be," Another worker said smugly as other HA workers mumbled among themselves in agreement, and Bearded Worker sighed.
"Nevertheless, he's a rogue element that needs to be registered. We must find him at once."
"You know, you would have a better chance of catching this pathetic wannabe if you just send me in," A young female voice rang out as Bearded Worker's face paled, and the man turned around to see a familiar green-haired woman floating behind him with a sly smirk on her face as he gasped and stood up.
The green-haired individual is a petite, 4'5-feet-tall, 26-year-old woman with emerald green eyes, an adolescent face, light green hair that curled up on the ends, a small nose, a sharp chin, A-Cup breasts, Caucasian skin, a slim slender built, long smooth legs, a tight but supple butt, and her outfit consisted of a form-fitting black dress with long sleeves, four high-cut leg slits that show off her legs, and low-heeled black shoes. Her name was Tatsumaki, but she was also known as the S-Class Rank 2 Hero, Tornado of Terror. Or Terrible Tornado as she was also known.
"Tornado, what are you doing here?" Bearded Worker asked nervously, as the sly smirk was wiped off from her face and was replaced with a scowl as she placed her hands on her hips.
"What? Am I not allowed to come here," Tatsumaki asked, as Bearded Worker sweated nervously and raise his hands in surrender.
"N-No, of course, you are! It's just weird to see you here," he said as she crosses her arms and looks away.
"Yeah, well, I was bored, so I decided to fly here to see if you idiots have any monster for me to kill," Tatsumaki said before spotting the video of Guardian speeding up the monster, and studied the video through narrow eyes. "He's fast, so what? I don't see why you all are so fixated on him when we already have Flashy Flash in our group."
"Tornado, it's not just his speed that impresses us, it's his hero work as well." Bearded Worker said while turning to the monitor as he pulled out a remote and pressed another button as he showed Tatsumaki all sorts of videos of Guardian performing heroic feats over the course of five years.
"You see, Tornado, the Blur has been quite active over the last five years. At first, he only resorted to petty crimes, and saving people from burning buildings, rescuing cats from trees, etc. But over time, he grew more confident and began fighting against monsters, crime organizations, and terrorists." He said as Tatsumaki reviewed the footage as he stated, "It's quite also possible he fought against the creature called Vaccine Man."
Tatsumaki scoffed on all this, as she asked, skeptically, "So, you're interested in him because he manages to kill a few monsters and stop a few crimelords?"
Bearded Worker shook his head, "Yes and no, we are impressed with his powers and how quickly he solves crimes, but what we're really interested in is his reputation." Tatsumaki raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything as he continued. "Of course, he's not as famous as Amai Mask, Blast, King, or you for that matter, but he gained quite a bit of love from the public. Most notably due to his charisma and impressive powers...also the fact that he's nice to the public, unlike other heroes." He said while not discreetly glancing over at Tatsumaki, who frowned as she glared at him.
"Oh, so you're saying that I'm not nice," Tatsumaki asked quietly with her eyes and body glowing green, as nearby objects started shaking and everyone started to panic.
At that moment, a calm Female Worker walked over to the pissed-off Esper casually and smiled at her calmly, "Of course not, Tornado. We're just referring to the other heroes, who act rather apathetic when confronting civilians." She said with a cheery smile.
Tatsumaki narrowed her eyes but calmed down as her glow died down, and the objects stopped shaking as she turned to Bearded Worker. "So, what are you planning to do with this Blur?"
Bearded Worker sighed in relief and composed himself as he looked up at the floating woman with a serious look, "Long story short, we want him to join our organization. We think him joining the Hero Association will help boost up our reputation and, hopefully, gain more public support." Tatsumaki raised an eyebrow but nodded understandably as he continued talking. "Over the past year, we had tried to recruit him into the Hero Association, but we haven't had much luck as he usually runs off after defeating a monster or whenever we show up. And there are also times that those who attempt to go after him are um… well…"
"The last team that was sent to bring him back…" the female worker replied as she held a picture of the crew in their patrol vehicle… all wrapped up in pink. "Let's just say their dignity took a blow."
'A pink bow? Is this guy some kind of retard,' Tatsumaki blinked and sweatdropped at this. "So, he's a loner, huh? Then how are you going to find him," Tatsumaki asked as Female Worker cleared her through, gaining their attention as she stepped up and pulled out her tablet.
"We had a couple of our scientists study the Blur's usual running pattern, and they had concluded that he mostly operates on cities like City-B, City-R, City-C, City-D, and City-A. They had also noticed that he sometimes operates on faraway cities like City-J, City-L, or even City-V." Female Worker said while pressing a couple of things on her tablet as she held it out in front of her, and the device projected a large holographic map of the world as all of the cities that she mentioned were all pinged with red dots. "After finding out his patrol pattern, we had all of the C-Class heroes from each of those cities keep an eye out for the Blur, and one of them reported seeing the Blur running back and forth from one location in particular multiple times: City-Z. And what's interesting about it is that the city is completely abandoned. Nobody would even think to look for him in a ghost town," she said with a smirk. "Coincidence? I think not."
"But then we ran into another problem as we don't exactly know which part of the city he lives in, and we can't send out any A-Class and B-Class heroes on the risk of having the Blur spot them and run away," Bearded Worker stated, as City-Z was abandoned but barely patrolled. That and nobody hardly lived there so there was less of a crowd to gain fans.
"So, from what I'm hearing, you need someone fast enough to catch him, but discrete enough to get the drop on him in a ghost town," Tatsumaki asked, as he nodded, and the petite woman smirked as she placed her arms on her hips. "Fine, then I will go catch him for you," Tatsumaki says as Bearded Worker flinched and sweated nervously as he smiled at her weakly.
"Uh, Tornado, not to upset you or anything, but you aren't exactly known for...subtlety," Bearded Worker flinched and sweatdropped with a nervous laugh.
But all this earned from Tatsumaki was an offended stare at him, as she said, "What? You don't think that I can be discreet and sneak up on someone?" She then zoomed to his face, as Bearded Worker jumped back in surprise. "Or is it that you don't think I'm not fast enough to catch him? Is that it?" Tatsumaki asked with her eyes glowing in irritation as she glared at him, and Bearded Worker trembled in fear. "He may be fast on his feet, but I'm leagues faster than that weakling as well as way more powerful, so the next time he shows up, call me and will bring him in," She said before huffing as the Esper flew out of the room.
Bearded Worker fell back on his chair as he sighs tiredly, and Female Worker patted his back comfortably.
