Batman Noël: a BatCat fan's epilogue

(Note: This takes place in the world of the graphic novel Batman Noël.) Grammarly is my beta writer

Selina Kyle, AKA Catwoman, is a beautiful tall woman standing (1) five feet eleven inches tall. She still looks great at 38, her c cups still high and firm, her legs long and fit, her waist tapered in the classic hourglass form. Her eyes are Emerald green, and her long brown fell to her chin in waves. Selina is dressed in blue jeans, a black long-sleeved shirt, and a long black leather jacket with a black fluffy fake fur collar (1). She sighed as she pulled her purple 66 Jaguar up to Wayne Manor. Selina had been pining after Bruce Wayne/Batman for the last fourteen years. Five years ago, the Bruces adopted son Dick Grayson aka Robin, was shot alongside Barbara Gordan, AKA Batgirl by The Joker. Both were killed by the monster. Bruce pushed everyone away, throwing himself into Batman more than he ever had before. The man lost a lot of his cheer the night Robin and Batgirl died, and Bruce Wayne rarely made appearances anymore.

Selina was buzzed in without the need for hitting the box and figured Alfred noticed her pull up. Selina rarely came around the manor anymore since Bruce normally refused to see her. Generally, Selina had to slip a tip to James Gordan if she wanted to check on Bruce like she did two days ago, as the holidays were hard on him. So well, Selina did not need the money she robbed Sprang's auction house, slipping a tip to Commissioner Gordan.

Selina's investments over the years with her ill-gotten goods had paid great. Seven years ago, she had pleaded guilty to her crimes and spent a month in Gotham State Penitentiary and fifteen months of a three-year sentence in Blackgate after the prison opened. Selina had gotten early parol early for good behavior) five years and five months ago, she had not intended to go back to crime. God Bruce had picked her up outside the doors. They had gotten engaged…Then the monster, in the guise of a man known as The Joker, killed Dick and Babs…Bruce pushed everyone away and broke their engagement. Since then, Selina mainly had stayed on the side of the angles, keeping her parol meetings and working at an animal shelter. However, Women needed to have some fun now and then, and being naughty was generally the only way she could get time with her Bat. So she did some thieving (even if she returned the loot.)

Yet Selina still wore her engagement ring and had turned down many suitors hoping her Bruce would return one day. She also had taken to protecting Gotham as Catwoman swapping her sexy dress for a black skin-tight catsuit. Selina's first catsuit was gray and made from military surplus. Selina knew her Bat noticed she changed her ways, which is likely why he got angry when she robbed someplace (even if she always returned the sparklies). However, he still made her a more protective two-piece suit from a leather Kevlar laminate. The two-piece suit made it much easier to go to the bathroom, well she was on the prowl and a much better whip.

Selina decided to come to Wayne Manor today because two days ago, Bruce had a nasty cough and likely a high fever, then took a bad fall chasing her that scared the kitty litter out of her. Fortunately, Selina saw the Big Blue Boy Scout checking on Batman and knew he was fine aside from the cough as Superman had not dragged his ass to the hospital. So, she left them alone as she returned the jewelry she stole. Selina wanted to drag him there yesterday, but it was Christmas, and her sister had been in town for the first time in two years. So today, Selina planned to drag Bruce to Doctor Tompkins's clinic as she knew he would not go willingly, and Alfred did not have it in him to try to force him to go since Dick…she still could not think it. Selina had watched that boy grow up…he was supposed to become her son-in-law. Selina checked her make-up and hair in the rear-view mirror, then she grabbed her new black leather purse and got out of her car, heading for the door of the massive manor.

A dashingly handsome man of thirty-nine, standing six foot two inches tall, opened the door dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a black sweater. He has a broad, muscular frame, black hair with a bit of grey, and it fell down to his eyebrows. He also had the most-pure blue eyes you have ever seen. Even Wonder Woman's eyes had tiny flecks of green in them. Well, Superman had little flex of brown in his.

"Hi Cat, I was going to call you today. I spent yesterday mostly in bed after taking care of a bit of business. You look great. Please come in let me take your coat. I would love it if you stayed for lunch. I made your favorite." Bruce says with a happy smile. Selina's eyes got wider than when she watched him fall after she tried to warn him the Gargoyle had cracked. Selina had not seen that smile on his face in five years. Bruce starts coughing as she steps into Wayne Manor. However, it sounded a lot better than it did two days ago.

"I would like that," Selian says with a smile as she lets him help her out of her coat which he hangs on a nearby hook.

"It's a day late, but I got you something for Christmas," Bruce says with a smile as he hands her a small beautifully wrapped box…and a doctor's note from Leslie Tompkins dated Christmas eve. So, the emotionally stunted jackass had dragged himself to a doctor… good.

"Aww, you did not have to; my gift to you was the chase. I wish it had ended a bit better, perhaps with us in my bed. But I am glad to see you're ok after that fall, and your cough is getting better. I returned the sparkles after Spit Curl flew off with you. Oh, before I forget." Selina says before smacking him on the cheek hard.

"Don't scare me like that again for at least two months, you emotionally stunted jackass," Selina angrily hissed as Bruce, who just grins, having expected the slap. Then Selina opened her gift and laughed deep, long, and hard, having to lean against Bruce to hold herself up.

Inside the box was a lump of coal. Selina would forever treasure this lump of coal as she knew it meant Bruce had finally started to heal. She kisses him on the cheek with a smile as they head into the dining room and sit down at the massive table.

"Oh, one more thing, would you attend the Wayne Foundation's new year's Gala with me? I realize I have not been to one for a long time and would, and well, you're the only one I want to go with." Bruce asks, looking shyly away from Selina with a blush dusting his cheeks once she had stopped laughing.

"Yes, but I need a new dress. So, you're taking me shopping." Selina says with a grin as she wipes a tear from her eye.

Selina would move back into the manor the next day. At the Gala, She would wear a stunning purple gown and Martha Wayne's pearls. They would announce their engagement was back at the Gala. Two months later, On the Anniversary of Dick and Barbra's death, Batman and Catwoman together on a patrol/prowl they would find a twelve-year-old street punk named Jason Todd, having removed one of the tires of the Batmobile and working on the second. This caused them both to break out laughing.

They would take Jason in after learning his parents were dead, and they began the process of adopting him. Jason would be a trying son, but his adoption would be finalized the day before their wedding. The boy would be expelled from Gotham Academy a week before summer break…Jason managed to beat the cause of his adoptive father's expulsion from the prestigious Acadamy by getting into just as many fights, but he set fire to a teacher's lawn and car… Jason would serve nine months in Spring Hall Juvenile Detention Center, where he would meet a girl named Helena Bertinelli. Selina learns she is pregnant with twins. After Jason gets out of Spring Hall the same day as Helena and would get his first kiss from the girl. Helena Martha and May Maria Wayne were born two days later. Jason would steal the robin costume to save Bruce, well Selina was still recovering from giving birth. They would have twenty years of bliss together.

The end.

1. This version of Catwoman was based partially on Julie Newmar from batman 66, which is why I have her taller than I usually write her as Julie is 5 foot 11 inches tall.

2. the coat Selina is wearing on page one of Future State: Catwoman issue 1.
