what if Tai died in Summer's place? what if a job left Ruby a mute? what if Yang had a Nightclub? these are questions i asked myself while laying in bed and so, here it is, hope you enjoy :3

Silent rose's
chapter 1

The sun rise's in vale, and a young girl sit's at a table in a hotel room in her underwear, typing on a laptop, after she enters something, the laptop speaks with a smooth, motherly voice "well done Reaper, the client is pleased with your work and has paid extra for the extra effort, your next target will be handed to you in a week, enjoy the time off Reaper" the black haired girl nods then stands up and gets dressed in a black tux-suit with a red tie, she then tie's her long hair back into a ponytail, she then leaves the room and walks to the elevator and heads down to the nightclub level, once there, she walks to the entrance and walks in and heads to the bar, where a young blonde haired girl stands cleaning a glass, she then grins seeing the black haired girl walk up to her "follow me to my office" the blonde girl says and they walk up some stairs and enter a room, once the door close's the two girls hug then part "how have you been Ruby?" the blonde girl asks with a warm smile, Ruby returns the smile and lifts her hand and signs "never better Yang" Yang nods and looks at Ruby's neck, seeing the scar's "how's your throat? Not in pain?" yang asks with a hint of worry making Ruby sigh and sign "it doesn't hurt, and it's fine" Yang chuckles "sorry for asking, just had to make sure" Yang says and walks to a large leather chair and sits down "when is your next job?" Yang asks smiling and Ruby's signs "next week, got a few days off" yang nods and sighs "i wish you didn't have to do this" she says looking at a picture of her, Ruby, Summer and Tai, Ruby signs "i only have five targets left before I can disappear, it's up to messenger to get me out as fast as possible" Yang sighs and nods "i know that, but she's taking her sweet time in doing that" Yang complains then suddenly Ruby's scroll rings, she takes it out and see's it's Messenger and looks at Yang "speak of the devil" yang says and Ruby answer's it "sorry for the sudden call, but this is a job HQ wants done ASAP, sending the details to your laptop" Messenger says then hangs up, Ruby puts the scroll away then signs "got to go, see you soon" Yangs nods "be seeing you" Ruby leaves and heads back up to her room, then walks to her laptop and just then Messengers appears on the laptop "ready for the sudden job?" the womans voice asks and Ruby nods "good, this is a job directly from HQ, I convinced them to give you one last job, and they provided, you have five targets, all five are attending a party at the Schnee manor in Atlas, they want them taken out quietly and discreetly, so you may need to get close and personal, I have already forged the invite letter and sorted out your transport into and out of Atlas, extra information have been sent to you in five different files, good luck Reaper" Ruby nods and packs everything of her and leaves.

Atlas, Schnee manor

Ruby enters the part with no problem, and locates each of her targets, the first two were easy to take down, as they snuck off into a spare bedroom to have an affair, Ruby sneaks in and silently kills the two of them, the third one was constantly followed by a bodyguard, but it was easy for ruby to spike their drink with poison, not strong enough to kill them, but just strong enough for him to be sick, causing them to run to a bathroom, to which Ruby predicted he run into and used a grot-wire to strangle them, She then kept an eye on her forth target, following them from a distance, the target then entered a room leaving the door slightly open, open enough for Ruby to hear a quiet scream and a struggle, Ruby rush's but silently enter seeing her target pinning Weiss Schnee to her bed and forcing themselves onto her, Ruby sneaks up and Weiss notices Ruby, Ruby puts a finger to her mouth in a shushing motion and once Ruby is close enough she pulls out her grot-wire and in one swift motion she wraps the grot-wire around her targets throat and pull hard crushing their throat and snaps their neck in one go, she stands up and makes a zipping motion on her mouth, signing to Weiss not to tell anyone, Weiss nods and Ruby leaves, looking for her last target, she then over hears that her target is about to leave so she walks outside to the cars and finds her targets car and rig's it to explode when the car starts, she then leaves and waits in her car, she then sees her target leave the manor and enter their car and begin to drive off, as soon as they get to the get the car suddenly explodes, Ruby then quickly leaves through the back and returns to her hide out and enter into her laptop to which she's contacted by messenger "well done Reaper, all targets are dead, and your contract is complete, have a nice day" Ruby's laptop suddenly turns off and Ruby leaves.

Vale, The Yellow Dragon

"Four murders and a car explosion resulting in an extra two deaths at the Schnee manor, witness's say that a hitman named Reaper killed them, but none of them saw their face, the police are still looking for the Reaper, in other news..." yang turns down the news with a smile and turns to face Ruby "well done, glad you're finally free, what are you going to do now?" Yang asks and ruby signs "thinking about becoming a huntress" Yang smiles even more "funny, I was thinking about becoming a huntress myself" both Ruby and yang chuckle then Ruby signs "well that sure is interesting" Yang nods smiling "wanna go together?" Yang asks smiling and Ruby nods and signs "hell yeah"

Vale, Beacon Acadamy

Both Ruby and Yang enter Beacon Acadamy, Yang speeds off with her friends and ruby stubbles into a cart filled with bags, while Ruby rubs her head, she looks up to see Weiss Schnee yelling at her then stops, recognizing Ruby from the party "y-you, it's you, from the party" Weiss says is shock, Ruby stands up and pulls out her scroll, quickly typing a response and showing it to Weiss, the message reads "hello Weiss Schnee, yes it is me from the party, we got off on the wrong foot so let me introduce myself properly, my name Ruby Rose, nice to meet you" Ruby then holds out her hand with a welcoming smile as Weiss reads it "b-but you killed a person!" Weiss says and Ruby covers Weiss's mouth with a shushing motion then types out "don't say it out loud in public, if you want to know why follow me" she then shows it to Weiss and once she finish's they both leave to a less public place, Weiss then asks "so why aren't you speaking?" Ruby then looks at Weiss and shows her scar covered neck making Weiss gasp "I'm so sorry" Ruby then shrug's then types "so you want to know why I killed that person back then?" Weiss nods and Ruby sighs and types "if I do you must promise not to tell ANYONE" Weiss reads it and nods "i promise" Ruby then nods then types and shows "well, him and four others were my targets, and I'm the hitman Reaper" Weiss's eyes widen after reading it, "so, you killed them because you were told to?" Weiss asks and Ruby nods, after a bit more talking, they make their way to the main hall where all the new comers are gathering, they then find Yang waiting and they wait as Ozpin begins to speak "I'll... keep this brief. You have travelled here in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." Ozpin then leave and Glynda takes the mic and tells everyone they will spend the night in the ballroom then dismiss everyone, everyone leaves and heads to the ballroom that night Weiss wakes up in the middle of the night, and notice's Ruby isn't in her sleeping bag, so she gets up and looks around, finding Ruby on one of the balcony's, Weiss walks up and stands next to her, both looking up at the broken moon in silence, after a moment Ruby breaks the silence by pulling out her scroll and swiftly typing a question for Weiss "had trouble sleeping?" Weiss sighs and nods "i keep having nightmares of the time that man almost raped me" Ruby nods then types "I'm sorry, I can't do much to help with that, but I can tell you one thing" Weiss raise's an eyebrow at the last part "and what is that?" Weiss's asks and Ruby gives a sly grin then leans in and kiss's Weiss on the cheek, then leaves as Weiss stands still in shock, after a moment she looks at the door and says "what?"

Vale, South cliff of the emerald forest

All the new comer students stand on metal platforms as Ozpin explains the mission, then one by one, each student is launched into the forest, Ruby flies through the sky and shoots her oversized sniper-scythe to slow her fall, she lands and stays still and listens, she then hears someone land nearby and hears Weiss voice, she rush's over to her and finds Weiss hanging upside down and struggling to keep her skirt up "Ruby! Get me down!" Ruby nods and climbs up the tree, she then climbs across the branch and notices Weiss's pure white panties, with a sly grim she quickly pulls out her scroll and snaps a pic of them then quickly cuts her down, Weiss lands with a thud and Ruby jumps down smiling, Weiss sighs and stands up dusting herself off "guess this makes us partners" Weiss says and Ruby nods smiling then swiftly type a message on her scroll "I quickly scoped out the whole forest as we fell, I know where we need to go" Weiss sighs and smiles "lead the way" Ruby nods with a smile and they start heading to where they need to go, half an hour later they hear a girly scream far in the distance, Ruby and Weiss look at each other and shrug and continue walking to the ruins, another half an hour later they hear a screech from the sky and see a massive Nevermore flying through the sky, Ruby grins and looks at Weiss "no" *a few minutes later* "wwwhhhhhhyyyyyy!?" Weiss screams as she clings to the massive Nevermore while Ruby chuckles.

Once they fly over the old ruins Ruby grabs Weiss and they drop to the ground and Ruby uses her semblance to counter the fall to land with a soft thud, and once they land, they see Yang with a girl named Blake that they met last night "sup Ruby, having fun?" Yang asks as she gestures to how Ruby is holding Weiss like a knight carrying a princess, Ruby gives a soft giggle and nods as Weiss quickly gets out of Ruby's arms with a blush and a cough, then then hear a roar as a usar steps out of the forest, but it quickly drops to the floor revealing an orange haired girl was riding it "awww, it's broken" she says with disappointment then a boy with jet back hair steps out huffing and puffing "let's not do that again" he says then looks around noticing that the orange haired girl isn't near him "I'm queen of the castle, I'm queen of the castle" she sings as she holds the queen chess piece "Nora!" the boy yells making Nora giggle "coming Ren!" Nora says zipping back to Ren, they then hear another girly scream as a blonde haired boy fly's across the sky hitting a tree then quickly followed by a red haired girl running from a giant Death Stalker, Ruby quickly pulls out her sniper-scythe and shoots at the Death Stalker to slow it down and Weiss speeds to it while loading ice dust into her rapier then she stabs it into the ground near the Death Stalker freezing it in place, then everyone grabs their chess piece's then start running to another Ruin while being chased by the now free death stalker and nevermore, they then start running across a bridge, that is then destroyed by the never more, leaving Ren, Nora, Pyrrha and jaune on land fighting the death stalker and Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang to deal with the nevermore, after a bit of fighting Ruby hatch's a plan and enacts it, Yang leads the nevermore to crash into the cliff face, then before it can fly up again Weiss rush's up and uses her ice dust to trap it in place, then Yang runs to a pillar and catch's the other end of Blake's ribbon creating a sling shot, Ruby opens up her sniper-scythe and using a mixture of her semblance and Weiss's gravity glyph's launch's herself to the nevermore, hooking her scythe on the throat of the nevermore and runs up the cliff face using the powerful recoil of her gun to slice the head off the bird.

Vale, Beacon Acadamy

"Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren, the four of you collected the white queen piece's, from this moment forward you'll be known as team JNPR, led by Jaune Arc" Ozpin says and smiles at a shocked Jaune, then they step off the stage "Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long, the four of you collected the white knight piece's, from this moment forth you'll be known as team RWBY, led by Ruby Rose" Ozpin says as they stand in front of him and Yang tightly hugs Ruby making her groan, they leave and head up to the dorms and enter their new room, four beds crammed into a small room with two large desks in each corner, a door on the right leads into a walk in wardrobe and a door on the left leads into a bathroom "could be better" Yang says sitting on one of the beds, claiming it as hers, Ruby nods thinking then pulls out her scroll and types with a shine in her eyes "bunkbeds?" Ruby types into her scroll and the other read it "hell yeah!" Yang says giving a toothy grin "I mean, I always wanted to have a bunkbed when I was younger" Weiss says sheepishly "it'll be nice to have the extra space, but how will we achieve it?" Blake asks and Ruby thinks, then signs to Tang, who gives a worried look "you'd think he'll do it on such short notice?" Yang asks, confusing both Blake and Weiss, then Ruby signs again and Yang sighs "alright, I'll trust you Ruby" Ruby nods smiling "excuse me, what are you two talking about?" Weiss asks confused and Ruby pulls out her scroll contact's and taps on a contact named "helper" and message's it "let's just say Ruby has a few people that owe her favour's" Yang says with a small smile and after some time a man walks in with some tools, and after introductions and greetings he gets to work making the bunkbeds then leaves "well, he sure was nice" Weiss says with a small smile "yeah, almost too nice" Blakes says suspiciously as she looks at Ruby "why did that man owe you a favour ruby?" Blake asks crossing her arms and Yang steps in front of Ruby protectively then Ruby puts her hand on Yang shoulder and signs "it's fine, if we're going to trust each other I'll need to tell them, Weiss already knows a bit from my last mission anyways" after a moment Yang sighs and nods then steps over to the book case "I'll translate what Ruby signs otherwise we'll be here all night" Yang says and everyone nods and Ruby begins signing for Yang to translate "it all started back when me and Yang were kids, our mum, Summer, was told to go on a mission alone, our dad, Tai, didn't like this so being as stubborn as he was, he refused to let her go and insisted that he'd go in her place, so he did, and that was the last time we sure him, after a while we went out to visit his grave, when we got home we were ambushed by a secret company that dealt in hitmen, or just assassin work, Ruby was forced and trained to become a hitman, Yang was forced to learn and run a hideout nightclub, and our mum was forced to become a contractor, they also burnt down our family home to make sure we wouldn't try to run, but our mum made a deal with them, if Ruby killed 100 people when her training was complete, both Ruby and Yang would be free to go" Yang says with a sigh, both her and Ruby showing signs of not liking the memory "and so that's how the Reaper was born?" Weiss asks and Ruby nods "wait, you're the Reaper!?" Blake asks looking at Ruby, Ruby nods again "the scars on her neck are from a botched hit, it was her fifth target, a mafia boss in Atlas" Yang says with a sigh "Ruby isn't a cold-hearted killer, sometimes innocent people get in the way and Ruby will find a way to make sure they're safe, because of this a lot of people owe her a favour or two" Yang says with a small smile "and what about Summer? Your mum?" Weiss asks and Ruby gives a soft sigh and a sad look "our mum was so focused on protecting us she didn't give herself an out when the deal was struck, it's part of the reason we came here to become huntress's, we wanted to become so skilful that we can march right into the company and shoot our way through to get our mum back" Yang says rubbing Ruby's shoulder, after a small awkward silence Weiss speaks up "i guess we all should go to sleep, first day of school tomorrow after all" Weiss says smiling and everyone nods in agreement and goes about their nightly routines for bed.

Also, if you are a reader of Four Roses, One soul, I'm sooo sorry for not uploading a new chapter yet, I'm just not happy with how rushed the third chapter was, so I'm thinking of rewriting the whole of chapter three, just wanted to get this idea out of my head first, again, if you want to see more of silent roses follow and comment "moar" or something like that, thx :3
