Minato Namikaze, The Fourth Hokage of Konoha, is sitting in his office, thinking about the events that happened on October 10th.
On October 10th, his wife, Kushina Uzumaki Namikaze, had gone into labour to give birth to his four children. Kushina's pregnancy was a complicated affair due to her being the Jinchuriki of Kyubi, the Nine Tailed Demon Fox. A female Jinchuriki's seal is at it's most vulnerable during her pregnancy, knowing this Minato along with his teacher Jiraiya had researched various ways to contain the tailed beast in the event Kushina's seal failed while keeping her pregnancy a top secret.
At first, they devised the method of sealing the beast using the Reaper Death Seal in conjecture with the Eight Trigram Sealing Method but the problem with this method was that whoever performed this sealing method would be devoured by the Shinigami, hence they kept researching for a better alternative.
After months of researching, Minato finally found a better alternative in the Senju Library. The seal used by Mito Uzumaki, the legendary seal mistress as well as wife of the first Hokage.
Using that seal as a base as well as the Eight Trigram Sealing Method Minato along with Kushina and Jiraiya devised a way to seal the Kyubi in four different parts. The first three parts would be chakra while the fourth part would be the soul and body of the beast, the only drawback was that this method would require double the Kage-level worth of Chakra.
On the day of the delivery, Kushina gave birth to four children; Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, their eldest and first son, Mito Uzumaki Namikaze, their second born and first daughter, Menma Uzumaki Namikaze, their third born and second son and finally Narumi Uzumaki Namikaze, their fourth born and second daughter.
All was going well, until an unknown shinobi wearing an orange mask with black flames in a spiral pattern, killed the two Anbu stationed outside the cave in which Kushina was giving birth as well as killing the Anbu medic along with Biwako Sarutobi who helped in the birth.
The masked men then took Naruto hostage and threatened to kill him if Minato tried to restore Kushina's seal. Minato was able to rescue Naruto, only to discover explosive tags planted on him. To save Naruto, Minato was forced to teleport into one of his safe houses which was the furthest away from the village.
Minato teleported back to the back only to discover that the unknown shinobi had taken away Kushina. After securing rest of his children in the safe house, Minato tracked down Kushina just in time to save her from being impaled by a now free Kyubi.
Minato after securing Kushina back to the safe house teleported to the village only to see it under attack by the Kyubi.
After teleporting a Tailed Beast Ball, Minato was about to go to Hiruzen Sarutobi, The Third Hokage, to tell him of the events that happened but was stopped by the same masked shinobi who attempted to teleport him away.
Minato using his own teleportation technique: The Flying Thunder God, was able to escape, only to come face to face with the same shinobi.
After a brief clash, Minato was able to plant Flying Thunder God seal on the masked man and used it to strike him and remove his control on Kyubi via a Contract seal.
When Minato returned to the village, he saw Hiruzen along with Tsunade leading the charge against the Kyubi who was fighting Katsuyu.
Minato summoned Gamabunta to help Katsuyu while he teleported to Tsunade and Hiruzen, after which he along with them teleported on the head of Gamabunta. Minato and Tsunade dismissed their summons after which Minato teleported the Kyubi along with Tsunade and Hiruzen to the safe house.
Once their Kushina was able to restrain the Kyubi using her Adamantine Sealing Chains while Minato with the help of Tsunade and Hiruzen sealed the Kyubi into his four children. Mito, Menma and Narumi got the chakra while Naruto got the soul and body of Kyubi but it cost the life of Hiruzen Sarutobi, who died due to chakra exhaustion.
Minato was interrupted from his thoughts by a knock on his door
"Enter" Minato said after which came the Legendary Three Shinobi of Konoha aka The Saanin of Konoha: Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru.
"Why did you call us here Minato?" Jiraiya asked.
"Before I meet the council as well as make a village wide announcement, I wish to discuss the matter of what to tell them with the three of you." Minato said after which he proceeded to tell the full story of October 10th
"I think you should only tell the council about this masked shinobi while telling the villagers only about the sealing Minato." Orochimaru said
"And why is that, Orochi?" Jiraiya asked
"Because, if Minato tells the council as well as the villagers about this masked man, then this could lead to the ostracization of the Uchiha clan. Even now many of the villagers, especially shinobi are looking suspiciously towards the Uchiha clan due to them seeing the Sharingan eyes in the Kyubi." Orochimaru explained
"I also believe that this is the start of the prophecy given by the toads, Jiraiya-sensei." Minato said
"A child born during a great calamity will face a great danger coming towards the world. He or She will hold great power within and would either become the saviour or the destroyer of the world." Jiraiya recited the prophecy
"I believe one of my children is the child of the prophecy, sensei" Minato said
"The child has to be either Narumi, Mito or Menma." Jiraiya said
"We will have to prepare them. I ask the three of you to become the god-parents of my children and help me and Kushina to train them." Minato said
"And what about Naruto?" Tsunade asked since she thought Minato and Jiraiya were forgetting about him
"Of course, we will also train him to help his siblings fulfil the prophecy." Minato said
"Then come on, take us to our god-children." Jiraiya said
Minato and the three legendary shinobi left to meet the new born children, unaware of the consequences of their actions.
